St~Raphael's [Fantasy/School] Thebreakers_perrinpost

~Introduction~

Alright. School RP. As much as that would denote the concept of "class," I don't actually believe in roleplaying the students attending the classes as they are. They may discuss them in their interactions, they may partially roleplay some of them, but you will never see me, either as a teacher or as a student, roleplaying an actual class. This RP is simply to RP the behavioural traits of students, and not, per se, the actual lives of one.

~Story~

In the eyes of society, to be different is to be wrong. To be something other than human...is wrong. The races of the world have long since been shunned, turned into nothing but fantastical tales in order to scare the children to sleep. And where is the justice within that? For some, there is none to be found. For others, it is simply the accepted fact. However, it is those very differences that makes a person what they are...so why can't we all just learn to cope, to accept what it is that constitutes the population of the world we live in? One man considered this, and so thinking, took the initiative. On a far off island, unknown to most, he established a rather large and prestigious school that was open to every sort of person, be they human or not. Fifty years after its creation, it is still running, proud of its heritage; and now, a new school year begins for both students and teachers. Let us, together, define what this year is to bring to all of us!

~Locations~

Male Dormitory: A large, elegant building located to the left of the main buildings of the school, the male dormitory is the place for all male boarding students to sleep. The facilities of the dormitory include: Kitchen, lounge, bathrooms as well as rooms to accommodate the students.

Female Dormitory: A building very similar to the male dormitory, with slight differences. It is located to the right of the school's main buildings, and is the home for all female boarding students. It contains within it the same facilities as the male dormitory.

Combat Arts: One of the three main-central buildings of the school, this building is composed of multiple, large-rooms that portray many different environments. All classes involving combat, as well as the majority of sparring competitions and tests of strength are to be had within this building.

Intellectual Arts: One of the three main-central buildings of the school, this building is comprised of classrooms set throughout. It is the main building for most intellectual classes, such as language arts, mathematics, philosophy and the other classes that majorly include using one's brain and learning.

Directorial Edifice: One of the three main-central buildings of the school, this building is used for most of the meetings between the staff and the students. The building has three main auditoriums, all fit for an audience of approximately one thousand people. This building also houses the main office for the school, as well as the visitor's quarters and the other core-essentials to the running of the school. All student files as well as important documents are filed and held within this building. Other than the main office and visitor's quarters, all areas of this building are prohibited to students unless otherwise instructed.

Library: A large building attached to the three central-main buildings by a large passageway above-ground and one central passageway below-ground that leads to the main building. This is the main area for students to study, as well as to take out any books that they may find either necessary or convenient.

Minor Buildings: A collection of medium-sized buildings scattered throughout the campus, these buildings all house classrooms that are used for classes outside of the combat and intellectual arts department, such as home economics, the main arts and a few other select classes offered at the school. These buildings are not very popular, and as such a few random visitors, but are seldom used outside of class-time.

St~Raphael's [Fantasy/School] Empty Re: St~Raphael's [Fantasy/School]

Post  Keyblade-Riku Thu Apr 08, 2010 8:50 pm

The young girl was sitting on the grass just outside the Directorial Edifice, staring up at the sky. She let out a gentle sigh and looked around nervously. Today would be the first day of school, not only for her, but for all the other students. It was the beginning of a new story, where she wouldn't be looked at as a monster but rather as a comrade. For her, that was something not only extraordinary, but unbelievable. She had been skeptical about the whole idea about a school for mixed races, and as such, had no idea as to whether or not she would actually...fit in around here. What if she had been lied to? What if she was at a normal human school, and that man had just been pitying her when he had enrolled her?

She tapped her foot lightly on the ground and placed her head upon her knees, which were folded up to her chest. Oh, this was so stressing! She glanced around once more, barely lifting her head to do so, trying to find someone else on campus. The welcoming ceremonies were today, so almost all of the students were either arriving today or coming in sometime later this week for the start of the school year.

"Oh, what the heck is with this place!" she exclaimed, in a rather exasperated voice.

If there was one thing she didn't want happening, it was for her to be alone the rest of her life. But how could she make any friends when she didn't even see anyone else around!?

The young man looked around. Somehow, he had gotten lost around the male dormitories, and didn't know where the heck he was. In a slight fit of anger, he punched the wall closest to him and, hesitating for a second, groaned at the sharp pain it caused him. He really wasn't being logical today, that's for sure. He couldn't tell if it was simply because he was nervous to be starting at a new school where he could actually fit in, or whether he was just afraid of actually...starting at a new school. He continued walking down the hallway he had wound up in and, miraculously, found a window. Hypothetically, that window was his saviour...so he jumped out.

But then, of course...he found himself outside on the obscenely large campus...the one that had not only ONE, but THREE insanely large buildings that all looked like they could be the Directorial Edifice. Oh, great, he thought to himself. My first day here and I'm already screwing up in 20 different areas. The thought seemed slightly absurd to him, so he chuckled aloud. Okay, so he didn't know where he was, but he knew where he was going, at least. It was a start...wasn't it? He growled under his breath and hid behind one of the insanely large bushes, deciding to stalk the next student that passed by in order to find his way to the place he needed to be.

"Hmph." The teacher was looking around the building with a slight air of discontent. For some reason, these buildings seemed to be too exquisite. Much more like a rich mansion rather than a school. He was slightly disgusted, but also slightly marveled at the sheer beauty of the place. Hopefully, the students will be able to concentrate on their STUDIES and not their SURROUNDINGS. Worst case scenario, he could whack a few of them upside the head.

He turned a few corners, and walked into the auditorium where the welcoming ceremonies were to be held. At the huge space, as well as the gorgeous stage and elegantly shaped walls, he had nothing else to do but gasp. He couldn't believe that he, and all of the other teachers, would actually be giving a speech up on that podium. Actually, taking it even further, he could believe anyone would even be teaching at or attending a school this grand, this marvelous. No, it had to be a dream.

Or was it? He quickly hit his head against a wall and, at the sudden and defined pain, he backed away. Alright. This was reality, that's for sure. Taking a deep breath, he walked down one of the aisles between the seating and headed for the backstage area of the auditorium. That was where the teachers were to meet and discuss before the ceremonies began.

Chastity sat in the taxi fussing with her braided hair while she waited to arrive in front of the school she would be teaching at now. "St.Rapheal's" her voice was low, kind of squeaky for the first time in awhile. When she was offered the job she thought it would be nice to try and keep her mind on something else. It would give her a break from the endless searching of her husband and son. Pulling the picture of the school out of her bag she marveled and ran her fingers over the building. It was so large, so far away from her home, maybe Van could be here. She shook her head, "I asked, he can't be here."

The taxi came to a stop and she looked out the window up at the architecture she had only seen in photos so far. It was more beautiful then she had thought. Handing the driver her fee she slowing exited the vehicle and swung her bag across her shoulder. She stared for a minute as the taxi drove away and then built up enough courage to walk forward. After fixing her blouse and checking to make sure her pencil skirt was down she started on her journey through the kids.

After talking to a few people she found out where the teachers were meeting and started on her way to meet them. She made her way threw the auditorium and saw a few people she knew where not students. Flipping a few stray hairs from her face she spoke "Hello, I'm Chastity Draven" her voice shook a little. Happy to finally be standing still her feet screamed at her for not having her normal boots on. 'Don't try to look nicer tomorrow. Wear your boots and don't kill your feet.' She took a quick glance down at her heals and sighed lightly.

As the sun started to go to the middle of the sky but it still had a ways to go. In the distance a figure was seen emerging from a car. It was morning but some vampires where already up. It was rare for a vampire to be out and about for they where still considered myths. But this one vampire was definatly out and about. Yes she drank blood yes over exposure of the sun hurt her but other then that most of the stuff was myth. She could be about during the day as long as she was covered part of the time. It was ironic though that she could control fire when the suns rays could kill her if she was out for more then 10 hours without some sort of shade. She shruged slightly to herself as she got out in one of her short red dresses that matched her flaming hair and red eyes.

A purr sound escaped Ardents lips as the red skin streached into a smile. Her eyes took in the school, tilting her head as she saw students running here and there. Well now she was a student. Why when she was hundreds if not thousands of years old? Well if you asked ardent she would say nothing to you. For she really was just bored and wanted a place to go. Besides it was fun to scare little kiddies that thought Vampires where just myths in the night. Her smile flashed as the sun hit her fangs that protruded from her lips slightly. She was happy and slightly hungry but she would find some way to feast. Perhaps a student? no... not unless she could find a willing male to appease her appitite until she had a full meal or some really bloody meat. She chucked softly as she looked at the students. Oh yes this could be fun. SHe waved away her car and started forward wondering what was about.

Yumi sighed softly as she rested her head against the back of the chair she was sitting in. She sighed and let her mind wonder wondering what this school was going to be like. She really hated to be away from her family because she didn't know how anyone was going to treat her. She moved her long black hair so that it covered her pointed ears. Her light purple eyes watched as she passed the people in the cab her father made her take. Even though she knew she was safe she still tended to act really shy around everyone and flinching away from others even if they didn't pose a threat to her. She sighed as she lowered her head and stared at her lap really not sure she wanted to even be here. She looked back out the window and rested her head against it a bit.

It didn't take her long to get there and when she did she saw everyone and relaxed a bit. She and the other elves were the most human like people there except the vampires who looked even more human then them. She sighed softly and continued to watch them as she started walking towards the school's garden. She wasn't sure what she was doing but she needed to just find a place to relax. She smiled as she saw a rather large cherry tree. She smiled as she jumped into it and then smiled as she rested against its rather large trunk. She smiled then yawned a bit as she looked up and grabbed a few flowers. She smiled as she braided them together then laced them within her hair and smiled as she let the rest of her fall loose around her shoulders. She looked about enjoying the feel of the sun against her skin.

Post  Rafeal Tue Apr 27, 2010 4:57 pm

"C'mon Adrian!" The voice was a whine, the owner pouting at the car, her hands on her hips as her honey gold eyes flashed softly.

"Yes yes... I don't see the reason father enrolled us here..." The reply came as the other student stepped out, his hands in his pockets as he glanced at her. "Well, I guess we should go to this... ceremony thing Rhia."

"We'd have already been here, you big dummy, if you hadn't taken so long to put on your pants." The twins started off across the campus as their transport drove off, Rhia glancing at her brother.

"Well it wouldn't have taken me so long if you hadn't kept me occupied like you were till father screamed for us." Adrian retorted, his brown hair flashing in sync with his twin sister's. He stretched his wings gently, the boy sighing a bit as he waved his hand, also in sync with his twin, their wings vanishing. They weren't gone, they were just in a different plane of existence. It made it easier for the twins to get around in other places, since breaking expensive things with your wings was a bad idea.

"I can't help it you like to sleep in boxers. Learn to wear pants to bed and I won't keep you occupied like that." Her retort was just as acidic to her brother, the girl grinning impishly at him. She stretched, making her feminine features stand out even more than they already did.

"If you weren't such a nympho about it, it wouldn't be a problem." Adrian smirked at her, his hands in his pockets still as they walked into the main hall of the school.

"I'm only a nympho for you Adrian." Her honey gold eyes flashed at her brother as they made their way to the hall where the welcoming ceremony was being held.

"That still makes you a nymhpo... Gah, arguing logic with you is pointless." He sighed, running his hands through his hair at his sister's smirk and tongue. "Yeah, just remember something." His arms looped around her from behind, pulling her against himself as his breath tickled her ear. "I can make you make so much noise, no matter where we are." His voice was singsongy, the Angel releasing his twin with a smirk.

"Y-yeah... Well," Rhia leaned back into him, her hands gripping his cheeks softly, "I can make you beg on your knees like a slave any where I want you to." She patted his cheek as she separated from her twin, leading the way into the ceremony hall, the pair finding a pair of seats they liked. Middle row, the twins waiting patiently for the ceremony to start.

"God I hope it doesn't take too long..." Adrian shifted in his chair uncomfortably, his gold eyes flashing as he glanced at his twin.

"Why? I got you all turned on now?" Rhia grinned at him, her gold eyes reflecting his as she shrugged nonchalantly. "Just have to wait for it dear brother."

"You know, teasing me like this is gonna bite you in the ass one of these days." Adrian snorted a bit as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"Shush you, they're gonna start soon." Rhia settled back into her seat next to her brother.

St~Raphael's [Fantasy/School] Empty Re: St~Raphael's [Fantasy/School]

Post  Keyblade-Riku Wed Apr 28, 2010 11:01 pm

His eyes caught upon a body that passed rather close to his, and with a sort of agility that was impossibly for a 'mere human' as Kyo was, he flew from the bushes he was hiding behind and stood behind the girl he had spotted. He moved and landed soundlessly, almost as if he were the wind itself; as such, he could analyze her profile without alerting her to his presence at all. His eyes wandered over her body, taking in every part of it; the skin, highlighted by the light of the sun. The flowing red hair that reflected that same light. The shortness of the dress wasn't doing much for him either, so stopping himself before he decided to do something that was deemed...illegal, he reached out and placed a hand on the girls shoulder. He assured himself that it was a gentle, ambiguous touch so as she wouldn't feel scared. In a school such as this one, such acts of...caution were above and beyond habit, they were necessity.

"Excuse me," he spoke in a soft tone, his pale gray eyes reflecting that same softness as he stepped forward so that he was in front of the girl. "Would you happen to know where it is, exactly, that we're supposed to be?"

He tilted his head sideways, almost in curiosity as he examined the front part of the girl. She was intriguing, yes, and judging by the breathing or lack thereof, she was most likely living dead. His eyes flitted up to her mouth and he groaned mentally; vampires. Trying not to discourage himself too too much, he just smiled and absentmindedly ran his hand along the knuckles that, surprisingly, still ached slightly from just minutes earlier.

The girls head continued to turn, taking in all of her surroundings. She didn't want to distance herself from the building that she knew, for certain, was the Directorial Edifice in which they needed to attend the opening ceremonies. However, it was that very conviction to stay put that put her in quite possibly the most intense internal struggle Alyshia Gallagher has had in ages; does she waste the time to approach someone and make a friend before the ceremonies or does she simply abandon all courtesy and, at the same time, hope? The moments flew by as she continued to ask herself the same question, shaking her head every time she came close to a decision, thoroughly convinced it was the wrong one. On a standard occasion, this wouldn't have been much of an issue; when it applied for both plausible decisions, on the other hand, one is faced with an entirely different scenario. Resigning herself to at least something of a half-passable act of friendship, her eyes swept the grounds that was now filled with even more students than it was before; she could have easily walked into the auditorium and made chit-chat before the ceremonies began, but she could also simply walk up to some random stranger and introduce herself.

She was almost beginning to debate on the former when her eyes fell upon her; a beautiful girl sitting in a tree some ways off from her current position. Alyshia, who had never really had the opportunity to do so, sat and admired her for a moment before deciding that she should just go and talk to her. In a school like this, it would help to have friends. And, although she was gorgeous if not more, Alyshia would never ever have considered herself so; by that very train of thought, she believed that having beautiful friends would lead to being popular which would lead to, at the very least, an opportunity for some sort of...social inclusion. Steeling herself for something that seemed like an eternity, she put her hands on her thighs and pushed up, lifting herself with a small "huff" and took the somewhat...lengthy walk, at least when considering that it's a school campus, towards the girl sitting in the tree. Looking up as she reached its base, she attempted a smile that rather came off as something a clown might do in an attempt to be entertaining.

"U-u-uhh-uhm, H-h-h-hello..." she began, stumbling over her words; all the nerve she had worked up in order to come here seemed to just empty out of her. "M-my n-n-name is A-a-a-Alyshia. P-p-pleased to m-m-m-meet you!"

SHIT! MESSED UP AGAIN! she cursed inside her head. Anyone who knew Alyshia wouldn't have expected that, but then again, no one knew her so what did expectations matter anyway. Just in case there were any mind readers in the vicinity, she simply added another little thought; get. the. heck. out. She smiled up at the girl once more, a little more confidence inside it this time; although she had completely screwed up her speaking, she felt a bit better after that very short mental outburst. Now, she simply needed to wait for the girl's response.

The man was looking over some papers before the ceremonies when he heard the slight rustling of the curtains and he turned to look at the woman who had just entered the backstage area of the auditorium. However, as he caught sight of her, any greetings or whatnot his brain might have processed were simply lost; it seemed, to him, that everything had just shut down and he was nothing more than a robot who just happened to run out of juice. After staring at her for a good, solid minute however things started to light up again. With a violent shake of his head, he put the papers aside and looked her over one more time. After all, there was absolutely no way that this could be true. She wasn't here, standing before him, presenting herself...under such a name, too. And as a teacher. There DEFINITELY was something amiss here, but he barely had time to register that as his eyes lingered on her feet. Well, well, well, the voice in his head chimed in as he understood exactly what was going on.

Within the span of a single moment, he lunged forward without leaving his feet, stooped over and pulled her legs out from under the woman standing before him. As she toppled to the ground, he tore the high-heeled shoes from her feet and simply stared a the damage. With a slight 'tut tut' and a shake of the head, he just grinned and gave the woman a thumbs up. The smile lingered as he offered his hand to help her up, finally deciding to speak for the first time.

"I'd say it was unwise to wear shoes that you deemed uncomfortable. Your entire body was radiating that kind of aura, the one where you attempted to show people outwardly that you were fine but on the inside you were calling yourself a freaking idiot for trying to make impressions. Oh, and the way you walked in and the way you spoke also showed that something was wrong. So, taking into account the aura you give off and the way your body reacts, you're either extremely nervous about being here or that pain was REALLY ticking you off. However, I'd like to say it was both because you don't seem too comfortable in your position, not just your clothes. Zay, by the way. Zay Kunokimachi," he said, his voice never hesitating nor pausing. His tone was light, conversational but also carried behind it a very educated and wizened sort of sound. "In case you were curious, I teach combat and I head the Swordsmanship Club...yet to be founded, of course."

He smiled once more, still offering his hand. It felt weird, introducing himself to her...but if she was to act like that, as if she didn't know him, then he figured he might as well act in kind.

Landing directly on her rear Chastity looked up at the man who had approached and toppled her. Her ears were pulled back tight agains her head and a small grown escaped as she pulled herself up slapping the man's hand away.

"Where do you come off greeting someone that way?" She nearly screamed at the the man, who introduced himself as Zay Kunokimachi. Chastity snached her shoe from his hand.

"As a matter of fact I am just fine, My personal discomfort is just that personal.." snorting she popped her show back on, brushed herself off, and 'adjusted' herself.

"Just a little nervous since I have not been around kids since.." her voice trailed of. 'Don't bring up Van here, you don't know these people' she bit her tongue. "For awhile." she finished and turned to retrieve her bag. The man's face was burnt into her mind though. Like hot iron on wood. She turned back to the man and fought for a minute whether to ask if they had met before. She had noticed he had stared at her for a little before he so rudely introduced himself. Chastity rubbed her backside as she thought about the pain. Finally she choose

"Have I met you before?" she cocked her head with the question. Her ears flicked a little as she waited to hear his response. His face and name were so familiar but yet stranger to her. There was something about him that jerked her memory. . In the pit of her stomach she knew him, she had to from the way her heart had started to race. Even though he knocked her on her ass she just wanted to keep talking to him, something about him pulled her to him.
As always she started fingering her jewel that hung from her neck on a small strap of leather. It was a habit when she was nervous. Though she never knew where it came from it always had been apart of her. When it was of, even while bathing, she felt like half of her was dead.

Ardent rose a brow as she felt a shift in energies around her. She looked around, not seeing who was right next to her. But she wasnt all powerful so if it was a spirit or something she couldnt see it. She growled as she felt the weight of a hand on her shoulder, turning with vampire like speed and grabbing him by the throat. When he spoke though she let him go and chuckled. “Never sneak up on something of the night. Especially if you dont want to end up dead.” She looked at the school and tilted her head slightly. “It is St.Rapheals. Why?”
She sighed and watched the other, letting her hand run through her red locks for a moment. She looked at the other, taking in his form. “Should i ask what you are?” She tilted her head again as she watched him. For a moment fire flared as she pressed her hands together. It was a habit she did when she was confused or nervous. Right now just confused.
