Aekkylinie: The Second War
Aekkylinie, a world like any other. This world is plagued with great beasts not native to these lands. The fight against them continues but when a larger threat hits the world, will the Confederacy and Legion separate their differences and fight together for the greater good?
- Our Characters Cities
- Confederacy Cities
- Legion Cities
- Confederacy Cities taken by the Legion
- Neutral Port Cities
Our current story starts when the Yaga (A creature that is of undead) attack and claim the Kingdom of Fieurcoast. The surviving humans flee to the Kingdoms of Brightden and Summerdell.
Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Fieurcoast
Fieurcoast is a Kingdom of the Confederacy. This smaller city started as a port kingdom over 400 years ago. Surrounded by water and mountains, Fieurcoast has stood tall and strong for many years. The main trade is fish and indigo silk. (To Be Continued...)
The Crown is of the Quinn family, King Roarke Quinn III and Queen Bridgette Quinn, heirs Prince Cearúil and Princess Treena to the throne.
The current city has been taken by the dreaded Yagas. King has fallen with the capital and the rest of the royal family has fled to Summerdell.
Summerdell
Summerdell was an Elven city in the beginning. It was given to the humans when they pledged to an alliance with each other against the unnatural Legion. Thus the Confederacy was born between the Elves and Humans. Trade of Summerdell is herbs and minerals from the surrounding plains and mountains. (To Be Continued...)
The Crown is of the Keenan family, King Ivae Keenan and Queen Avae Keenan, heir Princess Aislinn to the throne.
Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Laying in the soft grass of Val Point Aislinn stared at the autumn leaves of the trees above her. Truthful, her faithful steed, rolled in the grass only five feet from her. She rolled to her side and watched the grey stallion with a smile. He tossed and turned, pawing the air with his hooves now and then. His short mane was spread into the grass like it was one. In a pile against the tree lay the horses cloak, saddle, bridal and other adornments. Ontop of it all sat a small golden swirled crown. Aislinn flared at it before turning onto her back again.
"Its nice to lay out and get tho binds off now and then." her friend whinnied beside her like an answer. The princess's own royal robes were spread out over the grass like flames. Her fathers kingdom's colors were just that of fire. She loved the warm colors that were now fallen all over the land. Sitting up she looked at the kingdom below. Its red roofs standing out along the blues and greens of the earth. Behind it you could see the port and sea. The sea fog stopped you from seeing beyond that. On a clear day Fieurcoast and Brightden could be see from this mountain point. With a sigh the girl stood, 3 riders could be seeing heading up the path. Their horses wore the orange of her capital so she knew it was Sir Varian coming to find her.
"Up my beauty. We must re clad you before they arrive." with a huff the stallion rose and stood waiting for her to replace his wears and such. Aislinn swung the cloak over the horse and tied it lose around his neck.
"I am sorry dear friend." she placed a kiss on his soft velvet nose before placing the heavy bridal on him. Varian and the 2 guards arrived as she was checking the horse over. When she looked at the man she gasped before he could speak.
"Armor! What has befallen."
"Princess Aislinn," the trainer bowed before answering the question. "Nothing yet, mount and I will fill you in on the ride." Thankfully she had wore slacks under her robe today so riding was easier with the speed they were traveling.
"And now what has befallen?" she asked again looking over at her 'uncle' while he rode. "Tell me what is going on!"
"A small ship from Fieurcoast arrived at the port this morrow. They bore ill news, the city has been attacked by creatures of the Legion. Hundred more boats fled to Brightden and our shores. Refugees our filling our land." The knight didn't look at her as he spook. He was tense she could tell from how he rode today. "Fieurcoast has fallen."
"Fallen!? But to what? The legion does not has those numbers even yet."
"We will find that all out shortly, The survivors, including Queen Bridgette the prince and the princess, are being lead by Champion Menethil. They will arrive before days end. Menethil warns he bares alarming news, its alarming enough if something has destroyed Fieurcoast. I was sent to find you and bring you back. You have no business being out without guards at this moment."
The princess was stunned and gripped her fingers into Truthful's mane. Fieurcoast! She had never been there, but had heard tales about it. It was a mighty place... To think it had fallen-who or what could be strong enough to take such a city!
"How many people escaped?" she asked without looking at the man now. The guards rode silently behind them. She near yelled to him over the horses pounding hooves.
"Not a small number, many have arrived already. More on the coasts of Brightden, They says its everyone who survived."
"And the royal family?" He heard of the prince and princess all her life. Princess Treena was her age, Prince Cearúil two years ahead.Of course, just as she knew all the names of the neighboring kings, queens, princes, and princesses. Her eyes shot wide. Varian had mentioned the family, not King Roarke.
"Cearúil will soon become King Cearúil. King Roarke fell with Fieurcoast." Aislinn shivered, that tragedy hit her harder then the new of thousands of people losing their homes and some their lives. Her family was close, she'd seen how some rulers behaved with their families and knew that this was remarkable in the degree of closeness. To have lost your city, your way of life, and your father...
"Poor Cearúil." Tears rose to her eyes. The rest of the trip back was silent other then the beating hooves.
A few hours later Aislinn's small slippered feet carried her over the coble stones to the castle's ramparts. She ran with some warm tea for the guards who stood watch. Marwyn was one of the lead guards on duty, she sat at his feet looking out over the road. Such visits from the princess was not unusual for her. She visits the castle's scullery maids, valets, blacksmiths, and nearly every underling on the royal grounds. The king would sigh but Aislinn knew that none of them were ever punished for speaking with her. She always wondered if her father secretly approved.
Marwyn smiled at the cup of tea as she raised it to him. He bowed deeply in respect and pulled off his gauntlets so the warmth could warm his hands. It had gotten cold while the sun fell. Winter was threating early this year and the air smelled of snow already. She lay her chin on her knees and looked over the bridge and down the road leading through the land to port. Many farms dotted the road but they could not be seen over the fog that had grew from the seas.
"Any news yet?" she asked already knowing the answer.
"Nay, Your Highness," Marwyn answered sipping the tea. "Could be after dark. If you are hoping to see a glimpse before you sleep, you might not." She sighed.
While the guards finished their tea Aislinn sat with her head in her hands. It has been an exciting wait at first, now she was becoming bored. She blinked. Slowly lifting her head she narrowed her eyes.
"They're coming!" she cried when pushing herself up. Marwyn!" he called to another soldier who snapped to attention. "Go.."
"I'll do it! I'll go!" Aislinn nearly taking off in a run. Marwyn laughed and waved her off as she ran to her father's throne room. She ran through the courtyard and skidded to a halt in the hall. She nodded to the 2 guards who pushed the heavy doors open for her. After the news her father thanked her and waved her to bed.
"We have many things to finish here before they arrive. Hopefully with in the hour." He smiled a gentle smile to her. This is why she loved him so, he acted completely blind to her acting with common folk. She returned him smile and returned to her chambers where her maids were waiting. After she was ready for bed and the help had left, the princess slipped back out and into a balcony to wait for the Quinn's arrival. She lay in the curtains unseen by anyone.

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Treena stared blankly out at the see as she watched her city burn. Screams of the people who were unlucky to escape reached her ears even from the distance she was at. The sound made her sick but there was nothing she could do. Her brother had dragged her kicking and screaming from the fallen body of their father where she had been struggling to heal him, to give him enough life to escape with the rest of them.
It had been her fault her father had died. She was in the church where she had practiced her craft for so long praying to their gods that they would all escape, that their people would be safe; she hadn't heard the man sneaking up behind her until it was too late. She shuddered as she remembered the wandering hands and the ripping of the silk, and she did not want to even consider what would have happened to her if her father had not shown up. Not even her brother knew the truth of what nearly happened to her in their small church.
She still remembered how red the blood looked against the silver and indigo of her father's tunic when the man's friend stabbed him from behind. In a rage she had forsaken her vow and slaughtered the man for she had never learned how to hold a sword. When she was sure he was dead she turned to her father and tried desperately to heal him but he had lost far too much blood for her abilities. If only she had been stronger.
"Treena..." Her mother's voice broke her from her thoughts. "Treena come inside and let's put you in something more..." She stopped, there was nothing that would fit in to that statement without bringing bad memories and thoughts to both of them. "One of the maids was able to get a dress of yours from your room before she caught up with us. Let's put it on so that you can wear your colors with pride when we reach the city."
Treena didn't answer her mother and even considered just standing there but the dress she wore was stiff with dried blood and every time she touched any of the fabric all she could think about what that man and her father. Finally she turned and walked into the little cabin with her mother to change.
"Mother..." Cearúil's voice caught Bridgette before she joined her daughter in the room. "Has she said anything...?"
"No my son... Your sister has yet to say anything after she finally stopped screaming."
"Do you think that they... defiled her...?" He clenched hands into fists as he even considered it, it was not something he wanted to happen to his young sister; she would loose her training as a cleric if she was no longer a maiden.
"I truly hope not... But I do not know if we will know the truth of what happened any time soon." She sighed and walked into the room to help her daughter change.
Cearúil glared at the dark water as he remembered what his sister looked like when he had found her. Her indigo and teal dress was ripped open from neck to just below her breasts while the rest was coated in thick blood. She was crying as she continued to try to save their father, the gold light of her powers faded due to her state of mind. He looked at the two dead bodies, one cut cleanly, the other butchered, and he knew what had happened without even asking. His sister had been attack and their father came to rescue her, only to be attack himself. The badly butchered body of the rebel told him his sister had fought back with the one that killed their father; he would never tell her that he knew the truth.
Finally he saw the rising towers of the city they would be staying at. "Mother, Treena we have arrived."
Treena and Bridgette walked out to see the land approaching. Treena now wore a dress of indigo, silver and teal; the colors of their family. She had been washed and her silvery blond hair had been piled neatly on her head. She was still as silent as she was when the hysterics had passed.
Cearúil sighed and walked over to his sister. "Smile for me Treena... I miss m sister..." He murmured as he kissed her cheek. he undid his cloak and draped it over her shoulders as if trying to warm the ice that had formed in her. He took her hand and wrapped it around his arm as he offered his other arm to his mother. "We're here."
Bridgette nodded as they noticed horses were ready for them, she turned to the guards. "I see there are only horses for us. If it is possible we have a maid we would like to come with us. Is there another horse or can my children ride on one?"
The guard promised to get them a horse for the maid and soon they were on their way to the castle.

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
The bells woke Aislinn in a startle, she nearly jumped and exposed herself. She shivered and wrapped her house coat tight around her bed robes. 'It must have started snowing outside...' she thought looking up at the now covered hexagon window in the middle of the domed ceiling. More torches were lite now to make up for the missing natural light. She let out a small sigh it was not un natural for winter to threaten this early, but for it to actually start snowing... my that was. There was the clanking of armored feet and the almost silent shuffle of slippered feet outside the doors to the throne room. 2 of their own knights entered after them 2 more adoring Fieurcoast colors. The Fieurcoast's knights looked tired and worn. Their armor was not shined like that of her own kingdom's. Dents and ash took the glint out of the once mirror like armor. Aislinn frowned and their faces, the knights faces were sad and their eyes held no shine at all. 'Well what do you expect... their city just fell. Their families might even with it.' She shivered again at the thought.
He father rising caught her eye and she looked at the door again. A young man, only a few years older then herself entered. Beside him were a older women and she held a small girl's shoulders in front of her. They all bore the same golden hair King Roarke did. But his family was not glowing like the King did on the only day she ever met him. King Roarke had came to speak with her father about business, just like when her Father left to Fieurcoast many times before.
"Sorry my King," a strong, but familiar, voice called from behind the royal family. Champion Menethil, Summerdell's own ambassador knight and First War Champion, entered behind the Quinn's. The small girl, Princess Treena, shuddered at the sound of the man's voice. "The sky fell loose when we were only and hour away. We would have been here sooner." he walked around the family and drew his sword bowing down in front of them to his King.
"It is fine Sir Menethil, it is odd enough that snow has come this earlier. But that is not our matter at hand." He waved his hand and Menethil rose, re placing his sword at his waist. His armor was worn like those of the Fieurcoast's knights. He probably fought hard with them. "My dear friends," her father bowed his head to the family "I am sorry of your lose, but my kingdom is always open for our friends. You look weary from the journey please if you would like we may talk about the business in the morning."
"King Ivae, if I may." the prince started with a small bow to her father. "I will stay here and tell you what I know. If my Mother and Sister can be found to bed chambers, they need the rest." a small glance he shoot toward his sister.
"Of course." King Ivae raised his hand. 2 maids bowed to the Queen and Princess.
"Please come with us." They led the women out with a knight behind them.
"I will see them to bed." a small delicate hand was on her father's shoulder before she followed the maids also. Aislinn had not even seen her mother in the room. Everyone else, Maids and guards alike, left the room and the doors were closed. Leaving the Prince, the King, and Champion Menethil alone. 2 Guards stayed at the main door that lead into the courtyard.
"Your Majesty," Menethil started. The prince and Menethil told Aislinn's father of great beasts, 'Yagas' that some how had infested Aekkylinie. Great undead things, not alive but not dead either. The beast seem to grow in numbers as Fieurcoast lost members. "Everytime one of our own fell, they rose on the other side. We do not know yet if they have sided or are part of the Legion yet. They don't speak." Menethil said direly. More talk of different 'breeds' and the un known fact of how they got into the city. The King nodded along to the story and news.
"Enough, I will summon my neighboring kings. These events concern us all, Legion or not." Ivae nodded "Your Highness, " he looked to the Prince "I offer my home and protection to you and your family for as long as you shall need it. Aislinn smiled and started out of balcony.
She had not realized as she turned the corner to go through the guest quarters that the Queens would still be talking.
"Aislinn..." her mother looked shocked to see her. Aislinn's head fell "Where were you?"
"I went to check on Truthful..." she lied, her mother believed it though, it would stick too. She had went outside quickly to do just that. Snow was still stuck to her slippers and hair.
"My dear daughter, in your bed robes... Girl you will catch a cold." she huffed and brushed the snow out of her daughters hair. Her clock she unclasped and wrapped around Aislinn. "This is Queen Bridgette, she tells me the princess is in.. well a state of shock we would guess." Aislinn looked up at the Queen of Fieurcoast with a frown.
"I am sorry to hear of your home, and of course my heart is sadden by the loss of King Roarke." she was sincere.
"Thank you my dear Princess." the Queen smiled the best she could with her tired eyes.
"There is a nurse with the Princess now, Aislinn." her mother rubbed Aislinn's shoulder. "Perhaps you would like to speak with her after. Maybe you can get some words out of her." Avae looked at Bridgette now. Bridgette smiled and nodded.
"I will try my best, Queen Bridgette."
The two Queens talked again, mostly Bridgette telling Aislinn's mother of the great beasts who took the city. Aislinn sat against the wall at her mothers feet. When the nurse exited the quest room the other Princess was in, Avae ushered Aislinn into the room. The nurse behind her starting to news to the Queens.
The room was dark but familiar to Aislinn. The fire was alight in the great fireplace and there was a candle on the table beside the chair. It had been turned to look out the window. Aislinn herself looked out the window for a minute before speaking. The snow had slowed and you could see down to the city below. It was all white and very beautiful...
"I am sorry to hear of your Father's death..." Aislinn said quietly, turning her head to look at the back of the chair. She could tell the girl was seated in it from the golden hair that stuck to one side of it. But there was not movement
"I am Aislinn, princess of Summerdell."

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Treena sat in the chair as the nurse and the maids saw to setting up the room for her and give her a quick check up. She knew that soon they would have to do a whole physical later if she would be able to continue her training as a cleric. She watched the snow dance outside the window as part of her mind recognized the fact that the weather outside reflected what was inside her; cold darkness that seemed to have engulfed everything about her.
She only partially realized that her mind had completely shut off. She could no longer think, or feel or even speak. Not like she wanted to do any of those but she knew somewhere in her mind that being so closed down and so silent was not healthy. Did she really want to talk to anyone? Did she want to remember? Feel? Anything? Personally she enjoyed the cold darkness that had engulfed her completely and utterly.
She flinched when the door opened again and a new person entered. She realized it was the young princess of this kingdom, her rich brown hair stood out against the bright colors of their kingdom; it was what gave her away. Treena looked away from the girl to stare out the window.
The girl introduced herself as Aislinn and after a few strained silent minutes on the girl's part before she finally left, leaving Treena alone. Finally.
The night wore on and Treena finally curled up in the chair to fall into an uneasy sleep. Gruesome images of men touching her, tearing her clothing filled her mind to the breaking point. Images of the man she brutally killed engulfed her as he touched her, leaving bloody streaks over her pale naked skin. The image of her father, bloody, blue lipped and definetly in the arms of death called to her, blamed her for his untimely death. Even horrid images of her own mother and brother came into her mind. Horrible things haunted her even if her conscious mind knew they were not real her subconscious turned them into ugly demented things.
She woke screaming. Long ragged screams tore from her until her throat became raw and still she screamed. Maids and guards rushed in to see what was wrong throwing Treena into a deeper panic as she clawed and hit anything that came within her reach. The chair tumbled backwards spilling her to the floor disorienting her for a moment before she scrambled away from the people she didn't recognize. Her back slammed into the wall where she fell into a huddle in the far corner before she started crying.
"Treena!!" A male voice yelled accompanied by a female voice as her mother and brother rushed into her room.
"Treena!! Treena!!!" Her brother called as he moved closer. She lashed out, clawing at him unaware of who it really was.
"Treena it's me, it's Cearúil. Everything's okay. You're safe!" He moved in close even when her nails caught his cheek and made him bleed.
"Treena, it's your mother. Honey it's okay. Nothing is going to hurt you." Bridgette said as she knelt by her daughter.
It was another long moment before Treena realized who they were then she began sobbing all over again. "It's all my fault!!" She wailed as she clung to her older brother. "It's all my fault..."
Bridgette touched her daughter's hair softly as she silently prayed to their gods that the nightmares would soon be over. "It's okay Treena... It's okay..."

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
It had been two weeks since the attack on Fieurcoast. Aislinn walked through one of the leveled gardens and watched the people crossing the bridge below. Many colors of other kingdoms shined against the white powder that covered the ground. Aislinn drew her own rich orange cloak around her and turned to face her trainer. Alus Lerret, a high elf, smiled at the princess. His family was among royalty to the Elven society. Keryth Lerret was current reining king of Farfirth, the only Elven City in the Confederacy that was left standing, and was Alus's cousin. 'Rajah Keryth in there somewhere.' she thought looking back down at all the many monarchs from across the world crossing the great bridge into the castle grounds. Many of the last few were arriving today. Her eyes zoned in on a figure clad in rich reds, golds, and silvers. He almost floated and seemed to glow compared to the others. It was Keryth and she wondered what other elven lords and barons may be here. Her father had sent word to any and all who reigned a town or city. Not just the main large cities, the small ones too, they were all threatened by this new enemy..
"Ready to start, Your Highness?"
"Aye, Alus." she followed Alus as he turned and went into the doors of the library. Like his cousin, Alus carried himself proud and almost glowed in radiance. All High Elves carried themselves in that way. Most, unlike the other elves of the land, felt they were higher then the other races. Alus was not that way, he believe we all were equal, elves were just blessed with longer lives. Thats what made Aislinn like Alus the way she did. He was like a brother to her...
"Thankfully the human reins here have kept all the tomes and scrolls as nice as the elves would have. I trust you have been studying in my absents, we have 2 years to get you started before you should receive your first glyphs." Aislinn nodded and she had been. For 3 years she had been studying all the tomes the elves had left for the humans. She was going to be one of the few human mages in Aekkylinie. That was something that made her family even more proud of her. But there was a cost, Aislinn has 5 years to train and learn what elves had 25 years to learn.
Elves received their first glyphs at age 50, equivalent to 15 in human years. Elves how ever were mature at age 25 and thats when they started to train. Aislinn sighed, Alus had taught her so much but she knew there was so much more. Alus had also taught her of all the different races of the world. What interested her the most was the different elves, she was excited to see the elves that showed up from the smaller cities. Interested also in seeing the Centaurs which she had not met in person yet. 'King Jan! You can't forget him' She loved the Dwarven king of Ashfield.
"... Princess, are you listen?" Alus chided her. She spun to face him again she had found herself staring at the many books, lost in her head by the smell of parchment and ink.
"I am sorry, Alus" she whined making her way beside him. A pitcher on the table beside the elf wafted sweet nectar, something she loved from the elven cities. Elven food was so much sweeter then the human's food, but it was not filling at all. Aislinn eyed the pitcher and a laugh came from Alus. She looked at him, eyes sad. "You can have some if you sit and study. But not while you study." He poured a goblet and sat it beside her, pushing the books away from it. She slipped from the silver goblet and shivered with happiness. Alus laughed again "We will start your true training this spring, I feel you are ready." Aislinn nearly spit the nectar all over her tutor.
"This spring! but, but, bu..."
"I know, I know. The last time you tried you nearly burnt the garden to a char." he played with a ring on his petite finger. "We will start with water. It is the safest to train in, but once you start to get it... it can be as dangerous as a simple flame in the right conditions." he warned. She sat the goblet down and nodded. Alus moved the tray of nectar away from the table and opened a book.
They studied for hours, interrupted once by a maid who had brought them their lunch. Alus could tell Aislinn 's head was else where, probably with amazement of all the Kings that were here. He had let her go early and they would train twice as hard tomorrow he warned. Aislinn hugged him around his small waist and ran out the door, Alus laughing behind her. She took the time to visit her best friend. Truthful stomped in his stable as she entered. She knew all the new horse smells and activity was spooking him. Aislinn looked around at all the horses and other 'mounts' from other kingdoms. She didn't linger for long, Truthful's nose was against her own blowing hot air into her hair.
"Ok ok my beauty..." she patted his warm nose and unclasped her cloak. The warmth of all the animals left the stable warm and cozy. Hiking up her dress she climbed over the stable door and into the stall with her horse. She brushed her steed and cooed him, finally she gathered his tack and 'suited' him for a ride. She pulled her cloak around her and clasped it again before opening the stall door to lean the beast out. Mounting she watched a few people who were crossing the bridge and then she rode around the castle. Truthful prancing himself about as a show to the other horses. Aislinn laughed and buried her face into his mane.

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Treena glared viciously at the women running to and fro in her room as they tried to get her ready for the meeting she had to attend on whether she could continue studying to become a cleric. They would also be testing if she was still virginal or not before finding her a new teacher.
In the two weeks since her arrival Treena had not regained her voice, but her facial expressions were more than enough to explain what she needed. She still flinched outwardly at any loud unfamiliar male voice she heard and shied away from the out reached hands of male servants, knights, or even the King himself. Only her brother was able to touch her without her doing a quick back peddle or even having her run off down the hallway.
The nightmares had continued, though now she had learned to keep herself from screaming and waking everyone in the castle. But it had become painfully aware to everyone that she was sleeping little. Both her mother and her brother were becoming concerned.
She flinched as the maids began combing her hair and dressing her up. Her body sung with tight muscles as she fought with herself to keep from running. But lost the battle when a loud knock sounded at her door, she jumped visibly before taking several steps away from the sound causing the maids to tsk disdainfully.
The door opened to reveal the guard that had become the regular for her. His name was Finley was his name she found out when he continuously attempted to talk to her. It was an uphill battle that he was loosing, she wasn't talking and no matter how hard he tried she would just look at him.
"They're ready when you are." Finley said as he looked at her for a long moment before shutting the door again.
Treena blinked at him as he closed the door, her heart still racing as she tried to remain calm. The maids finished getting her ready then walked her out. Guards fell in place ahead of her causing her to shy away a few steps until Finley and another guard fell in line behind her causing her to flinch yet again.
"It shouldn't take long." Finley said, he was still attempting to get her to talk. "Soon you'll be back to studying to become a cleric. Are you just studying the basics or are you trying to become one of the higher classed ones? I think you'll make a great Cleric."
"I don't understand why you continuously try and get her to talk." One of the older guards finally said causing Treena to shake visibly. "She's not going to answer you, it's a waste of time."
"I'll bet she honestly can't talk..." Another in her group spoke up. "It's sad really. She is quite pretty."
"Treena." Her brother called.
Treena's head flew up as she looked for her brother, catching him standing off to one side of the long hallway. She smiled and lifted her skirts and she ran over to him.
Cearúil smiled as he patted her head before cupping her chin. "Keep your head up." He murmured. "I know you may not like it, but the test will be over soon and then things will start going back to normal for you. Take your time, I know you'll start talking when you're ready. And don't let them get to you. Not every guy is out to get you. I think that Finley is just trying to help in his own way."
Treena nodded as she looked up at her older brother. It had only been a few weeks since their father passed but Cearúil seemed to have aged several years in that short time.
"Go on, you don't want to be late." He said as he turned her around. "I want to know the results as soon as you can tell me."
Treena smiled at him over her shoulder before she made her way back to her little group, heading off to the meeting with the Clerics.

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
The snow was not deep on the paths but Aislinn still worried about the ice that may lay underneath. Cold started to bit her and she tapped Truthful's side telling him to head back. As she passed the back of the guest quarters she stopped the horse and watched a small group with the Fieurcoast princess being lead through the hall. 'Her clerics meeting is today' she reminded herself. A frown grew as she watched the girl's brother eye follow the group. The prince had changed a lot in the two weeks they were here. He was worn and tired, it showed and aged him. She knew that with time he would shine again like his father had. He was handsome even in his old age, surly his son would be too.
Her mother had told her what had happened to the King, and what they feared for Treena. Aislinn had prayed every night that everything would be alright. She knew how she would fear if she was no longer allowed to train as a mage. More so, she worried what was going through the girls head. Seeing what had happened to her father and what the men may of done to her, Aislinn shuddered. She had not yet met Treena or the prince yet. Treena had not spoken to her the night she tried to talk to the princess. She had only given her a harsh silence that she was not use to. The Prince however had been so busy with Aislinn's father, she had barely seem him. Prince Cearúil has not been introduced or she had not even been taken to meet him yet. But he had a lot to worry about at the moment. It didn't bother her...
Aislinn tapped Truthful again and they started toward the barn hoping no one saw them staring. There a stall made told Aislinn to get back inside before she fell ill, she would take care of her stallion. She bowed her head and ran as fast as she could into one of the open hall ways. Silently she passed the group with the princess and then Prince Cearúil without looking directly at him.

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Cearúil watched as Aislinn passed before it dawned on him to actually say something to her.
"Wait." He called as he walked up to her. "Forgive me, I do not think I have properly introduced myself. I am Prince Cearúil. I am sure you already know that. I want to thank you for letting us stay here in your kingdom. If you would not consider it a bother I would be greatly indebted to you if you tried to console my sister. I am not sure if a female friend might cheer her up, but I wonder if it might be worth a try. She hasn't spoken a word since that terrible nightmare when we first arrived and even those were jumbled and did not make any sense. If you would be so kind to try and help her, maybe get her to talk about that night, or even just to talk at all would be an improvement. I worry that she is broken inside from what happened and I do not want it to become detrimental to her health. I believe a friend would be nice." He smiled at Aislinn in hopes that she would agree to his request.

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Aislinn stared dumbfounded at the prince while he talked. He must not have known that she had tried the first night they arrived. But then.. the wound was also fresh, maybe she could try again. Her brown eyes moved to his own blues. She could see the hope and hurt in his eyes. She smiled and looked to her feet.
"I..." she stuttered "I tried, but I can always try again. I am ju..." her eyes shot down the hall where you could no longer see the group taking Treena to her meeting. "Scared I guess. She was very cold she I first met her and well I don't know if she is healed enough for a friend." Her eyes meet the prince's again. A small smile of apologizes played on her face. Cold stone bit her back, she had not noticed when he came to her she had backed up. He had scared her. A laugh skipped her heart
"I am Princess Aislinn, and it is our honor to help friends. Especially against a common enemy. But my father has told you that, my deepest and sincere apology about you own. He was a very nice man, and a great king." Her mind had switched to royal mood.

Cearúil sighed as Aislinn told him of the incident from the first night. "I am sorry to hear that. She is not usually like this, I would hope that it was only because of what happened to her I would say that even if she were rude. She is my only sister and she means the world to me. If you would try again I would appreciately that immensely." He smiled again before bowing low and walking off into the castle.

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Aislinn sighed and wondered if the Prince had meant to be so.. straight forward. She shook her head and went on her way. In her chambers she plucked a book off one of the shelves and curled up in the chair by the fireplace. It cracked and hiss as she watched the flames dance. After a few minutes she pulled her eyes from the fire and dug herself into a book. 'Controlling the elements' she had not studied this one yet...
There was a knock on the door, Aislinn turned as it opened. It was her mother, Queen Avae.
"Aislinn?" her head was peeked in "Ah there you are, we didn't know where you were. I will send the maids up t..." She was beside Aislinn's chair now. The queen sniffed and wrinkled her nose. "Child you smell of horse. Were you down in the stables again?" Aislinn nodded her head. Her mother sighed as 2 maids entered. "Ready a bath, she needs that too..." They turned and left, Avae sat in the other chair. "Aislinn, you should not be ou.."
"Yes Mother."
"I didn't finish."
" 'I should not be out and about right now. Its to dangerous.' I know and I didn't leave the grounds. Nor have I done anything I am not to!" she almost yelled and walked to the other side of the room, book falling to the floor. "As if I could forget them.."
"You watch your tone with me! You might be a princess and heir to the throne, but you are still my daughter."
"Your Majesty?" the maids had returned, with Aislinn's nanny too.
"Yes, Go ahead." Her mother recomposed herself and sat back in the chair from when she had risen. Aislinn sighed while the maids fussed, setting up the bath and screen. Behind the screen her old nanny helped her remove her robes and get into the bath. Through the bath she was silent, just the crackling fire and the slosh of water could be hard against the stone walls and floor. They helped her dry, then slip her dress gown over her small frame. The under dress was always what she hated about this gown. It was an off white color, sleeves fell almost to the floor with a slit down the side for her arms to be usable. The maids tied the back tie, the began threading the sleeves through the vest like arms of the over gown. The over gown pulled the the rich dark red of the kingdom's colors into the dress. Aislinn's nanny weave the black ribbon through the corset-type front, from her waist to her chest it laced up. Laced cuffs were placed on her upper arm to create a puff and a orange sash was tied around her waist while they fussed with her hair.
Her hair the pinned up to air dry and curl. Her mother had left, the maids and nanny after her. Aislinn sighed and scooped her book off the ground and curled back into the chair. Her eyes how ever stared out the window into the mountains behind the castle. Val Point could be seen from her room. She longed to be out there with Truthful.
Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Cearúil shook his head as he realized how frank he had been but he was at the end of his rope and then beyond. He worried incessantly about Treena and her health. He also worried about his mother and how she was handling to loss of his father, her husband. And on top of all of that he had to learn how to become a king at the age of 15. Soon he would have to find a wife, a queen to rule their kingdom. If they ever got it back. The thought of never having a kingdom again strained him more than he realized, but the pressing issue was his sister.
Treena had refused to speak ever since he tore her away from their father's body. Even when she spoke a few words after the nightmare they had made no sense to him. All he could think about was that she had blamed herself for their father's death. If that was the case Cearúil worried that it would deteriorate Treena's mind along with the possibility that she was raped by an attacker. The last thing that Cearúil wondered and worried about was the death of the second attacker. He knew that the only way that his father died was that one attacker got him from behind which meant Treena had to have killed the other. He was concerned that her killing the second attacker would break her mind. She was only a child still and yet she committed murder and though she would be forgiven by her teachings, would she be able to forgive herself?
Cearúil sighed as he scratched his head. These questions were going to consume him if he wasn't careful. So he sighed and just prayed that soon Treena would begin talking again, that she would be able to continue her training, that she wouldn't be consumed by the death of their father and maybe, just maybe, she would be able to be happy again.
Treena walked out of the meeting visibly paler than she went in. Though the news was good, she was still virginal and would be able to continue her training, the test was stressful for her. She walked silently down the hall, following the guards that escorted her back to her room. She let her eyes follow the lines on the stone floors while she walked. She wondered for a moment as to whether or not it was okay for her to stay as silent as she had been for so long. She couldn't figure out even she could even actually talk anymore, but part of her wasn't bothered by that fact. She believed that this would be her punishment if anything for what she had done; it was definitely not as bad as she was expecting it to be.
The door to her room was held open by one of the guards and she walked in, looking over her shoulder as they closed it behind her before she walked over to the single chair in her room and sat down. She sighed.
A knock on the door made her jump out of the chair. Finley opened the door with two maids.
"There is a dinner and a meeting you are to attend. I will be waiting outside when you are ready to escort you to the dinner." Finley said as the maids walked in and he shut the door.
Treena sighed again as the maids pulled out a heavy silk sleeveless over dress. They threaded silver ribbons through the front corset piece and the side slits and pulled them tight. They fluffed her long silvery blond hair before adding her small bright shiny tiara to her head, the little sapphire tear drop that hung on tiny silver chains to sit between her eyebrows as emeralds and amethysts crested up the chains to the crown.
When she was ready the maids opened the door and let her out. Finley escorted her to the dinning hall.

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Ainlinn rolled her hand, the small ball of water jiggled around it. She had been practicing, it was fire she worried about. Slowing she moved her other hand, pulling a bit of fire from the candle next to her. It moved like the water around her hand. A coy smile laced her face. She had done it! A knock on the door started her, the fire dropped onto her hand and burnt her. She yelped and dropped the water onto it to sooth it.
"Princess Ainlinn, are your ready to finish?" Marwyn called through the door.
"Ummm... yes!" she called back hiding her hand. The door opened and two maids floated in, Marwyn's face smiled behind them.
"I will be here when you are ready.." he turned and the door shut. The maids fussed with her hair again, pulling it up into a lose bun. Some ringlets of curl fell in a few places but the maids let them be. She sighed as one went to one of the boxes her many crowns were held in. She hated the damned things, especially the one she had to wear meeting other royals. It was a crown of golden swirls, made like those the elves wear. Crystals of red, orange, and yellow dangled from many points. The loops from one to another across the back of her head. One single red crystal hung in the middle of her forehead. It was heavy from those crystals but she kept her head high. One of the maids finished fussing with her and pushed her out the door.
"Ready, Princess?" Marwyn looked at her and smiled
"I am, lead the way." she smiled back at him and they walked along the hall. They started through the guest quarter hall, Aislinn could make out Treena and the guard escorting her.
"Treena!" she yells and ran towards the girl, stopping a few feet from her and walking up beside her. Marwyn yelled and ran after her. "Good day, Finley" she bobbed her head and smile at the young guard, then turned her gaze back to Treena. "Shall we walk to dinner together?" she gave the friendliest smile she could to the girl and flung her hand down the hall in a gesture for them to start walking.
A lot of kings Aislinn knew were here, they greeted her and Treena with a bow. Treena broke off to greet those with her brother. Aislinn smiled and returned the bow greeting the few she knew with their names, those she didn't introduced themselves. Toward the end stood Keryth and Jan, the two closest friends to her father.
"Rajah Keryth" she smiled and the elven king he bobbed his head in return. "King Jan" she smile grew. The Dwaven king was no taller then her so she was eye level with him. His short fat fingers touched her hand and he brought it to his mouth. A light kiss and he let is drop again.
"Princess Aislinn, nice to see yer again young lass."
"Always a pleasure." She curtsied . Soon after her father started the dinner and they all sat to eat. Through dinner the Kings spoke over many things, not much about the new threat that had taken Fieurcoast. That was the after dinner business. After. Aislinn and Treena were both lead out of the room. Finley was in charge to lead them back to their rooms. Finley's long legs carried him faster so he was quite ahead of the girls. Probably in hopes they would talk and her was out of the way. Her gazed stared out the window, there where stable maids and boys bustled around in a hurry. Her heart skipped, Justice was finally giving birth!
"Treena!" Aislinn all but yelled, "Come with me!" she laced her fingers in the girls own and pulled her through the snow to the building. A few maids were to busy to yell, others hands to full to do anything but yell. Finley of course was in purse of them yelling at them to stop. Aislinn busted the doors open and the smell of horse and sweat hit her. She smiled a no good grin and dragged Treena along to the large stall where Justice was. The mare standing huffing and moaning in pain, her hooves stomped now and then. Tek, the horse nurse, smiled when she saw Aislinn.
"Hold her head, Princess!" the old woman called. Tek for years before Aislinn's father was even king, breed, nursed, and trained all of the Royal's horses. Justice was her Mother's horse, her beautiful brown coat was covered in sweat and her eyes rolled while she whickered. Aislinn had watch many foals be born here, her own Truthful was the first she helped deliver. Finley stood outside of the stall and watched without a word. Aislinn held fast to the bridle and murmured to the mare. The horse jerked her head violently and almost took the young princess with her.
"Whoa, Justice.." she cooed "Easy, girl, it'll be alright.. no worries." She had glanced over at Treena and then back to the mare. She was hoping the girl was not scared and she hoped the the miracle of life would help the girl with her pain. Tek smiled lovingly at Aislinn.
"Doubt you'd feel that way if you had something the size of that foal coming out of you." Finley laughed, so did Aislinn.
"Tis true I guess..." she chuckled
"One more push, girl." Tak clicked moving slowly around the horses body. Hot and soggy foam from Justice's champing mouth dropped to the floor and Aislinn's robes. Tak patted the mare's rear while watching the foal, encased in a shiny shroudlike membrane, was halfway through it journey into the world. The 'miracle of birth' was actually pretty disgusting and the hoped Treena wouldn't get sick. She had not thought of that when she dragged the princess here. Aislinn herself was use to it by now, but she had no idea about the other princess. Justice grunted and heaved again, her legs held stiff and straight out, and with a sloshy wet sound her baby entered the world. The mare's head thumped against Aislinn's shoulder a moment, her eyes closed as she heaved and caught her breath. She smiled and stroked the mare's wet neck. Tak was attending to the foal, with the chill steam rose off the newborn's warm wet body. With a towel, Tak rubbed off the last of the foal's unsettling covering. Aislinn's grin was wider then ever.
Damp, tan, long black tangled legs and big eyes, the foal looked around, blinking in the dim light of the lanterns. The large brown eyes stared at Treena, Aislinn had noticed, and Treena was staring back at it.
"Do you have a horse?" Aislinn asked staring at the girl. It took a few moments and finally the girl shook her head no. "Would you like...?" She looked at Tak
"Its a girl, female." Tak answered
"Would you like her, Treena?" her head cocked at the question. Justice stirred and Aislinn pressed herself to the wall so the great beast would not crush her. Mare turned, mother and daughter sniffed each other. Justice grunted and began to bathe the filly with her long tongue.
"Princess Ainlinn, are your ready to finish?" Marwyn called through the door.

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Treena flinched when she heard her name being screamed from the young princess as she ran over. She stared blankly as the girl smiled at her and led the way to the dinning hall. She curtsied to the Kings that introduced themselves to her and Aislinn in quiet reserve as she had been taught. When she spotted her brother she lifted her skirts slight enough and made her way over to him in the slow royal walk her mother had always told her to do.
Treena bowed her head as she curtsied to the men that stood by her brother. She kept her eyes lowered to the floor as she stood silently next to her brother as he spoke to his guests. She had been taught well how to act around other royals. She was suppose to be respectful and quiet; both were easily attained since she couldn't speak. Her brother laid her hand on his arm as he escorted her into the dinning hall.
When dinner was over and the girls were escorted out Treena walked silently with Aislinn as Finley walked them back to their respected rooms. Suddenly Aislinn caught Treena completely off guard as she dragged her out of the castle and into the stables. A mare was about to give birth.
This was the first time Treena had ever seen anything like it, her eyes were wide with the shock and confusion at what she saw. When Finley approached and stood near she inched slightly behind him, moving away from the scene. Towards the end she realized Aislinn was enjoying herself and Treena felt a pang of jealousy; she had never really lived outside the castle the way Aislinn seemed to.
She watched as the foal was born and the Horse Nurse cleaned it. Aislinn asked her if she had had a horse and she thought for a moment. She knew she hadn't but didn't honestly know if she could answer, so she finally shook her head.
It caught her by surprise when Aislinn offered the young foal to her as her own. She blinked a few times as she registered the question as she stared at the happy foal and her mother. She finally nodded yes.
Treena turned her head to the castle, she could hear that there were voices calling for them. After a moments hesitation her upbringing finally forced her to turn from the foal and stables to make her way slowly back into the castle. She wondered if her mother would scold her for leaving the castle but she smiled to herself as she remembered the eyes of the foal and didn't feel she needed to worry so much about the scolding.

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Aislinn hadn't noticed Treena has left at first, until Finley muttered about getting in trouble for letting them leave as he himself turned to the castle. She waved a goodbye to Tak and ran out of the stables, past Finley and slowed beside Treena. The voices calling their names slowed and quited as she approached it. Maids that had went to ready the girls for bed had alerted the Queen's of them missing. Bridgette and Avae watched the Princesses as they walked into the open hall. They stopped in front of their mothers, Finley right behind them. Avae simple shook her head with a sigh of relief, but Bridgette looked shaken in fear. Her mouth opened, probably to scold Treena, Aislinn cut her off.
"Your Highness, I am sorry to have made you worry but it was not Princess Treena or Sir Finley at fault. It was my own, I saw the stable help busseling about something. My mother's steed," she looked at her mother quickly. "Justice, has given birth to her foal." her stare went back to Treena's mother "The foal was to be a steed of mine, but.. Treena didn't have a steed and I figured it would be nice for her. A gift of friendship from me..." She could see Avae smiling out of the corner of her eye.
"Come, Aislinn... Its time for bed." Avae took her daughter's shoulder and led her down the hall after a few moments. Two maids followed the Queen and princess. Once back in Aislinn's sleeping chambers, Avae hugged her daughter before the maids got her ready for bed.
"That was very kind of you my daughter, I am sure Treena loved it."
"If she did she didn't say anything." Aislinn frowned
"Her face said it though, you could tell the girl was glowing a bit. I think you truly made her happy. She will speak in time, all you can do is be a friend to her. Goodnight Aislinn." her mother left as the maids finished. After the maids themselves left Aislinn crawled into bed and slipping to sleep thinking about Justice's awkward filly.
It had been a little over a month since that night. The kings had talked about the attack on Fieurcoast way into the night. But no one expected what happened after Aislinn and Treena had been sent to bed. Overlord Mor Drag, the Orc king of Orkeep, had flew to Summerdell and landed in the courtyard on his great stone beast, but not as an attack. When the guards ran toward him he simply stood there and asked to speak to the Confederacy Kings. Aislinn's father, King Ivae, had told the guards to lead him in. In doing so Mor had told the kings of great news. Fieurcoast was not the only city to be attacked by the strange new enemies. Meaning that the Legion was not responsible for them. Mor had lost his own Kingdom and warned the undead had started toward Brightden. After that the Orc king had left, the Confederacy was stunned.
Many troops, both the survivors of Fieurcoast and a good amount of Summerdell troops, left with King Dmitrei Aalto, reigning king of Brightden. Scouts returned a week later saying they had won and the undead troops turned away and fled. A lot of new information had been found about the enemy also. Troops stayed to help if they returned. Most Kings had also started back to their own kingdoms, few stayed. King Jan was one who stayed, and out of Aislinn's fathers eye, he started training Aislinn some fighting. Today King Jan was going to talk to her father and talk about teaching her to fight. Aislinn was worried...
Aislinn sat behind one of the large wooden desks of the library. All across the desk different books and scrolls were laid out. She sighed and flipped yet another page. She had been studying techniques and forms since the early morning. Her lunch had been brought to her an hour ago and what she didn't finish was just taken away. The princess stretching and rubbed her eyes
"You shouldn't strain yourself to much, you are talented. I am sure you will be a fine mage.." the voice made her jump and she spun to look at its owner. Rajah Keryth stood in the door way. "Alus has been telling me of your progress. Coming from me you should feel proud. I don't truly agree on human's learning our magic." He 'floated' to the desks edge and looked over the surface.
"And I thank you for the compliment and chance to learn, Rajah Keryth." she smiled at the elf. "I hope I will meet your expectations..."
"I am sure you will child. I do have a favor of you, My daughter is coming to accompany me home. She will be here a few days before we depart.." the King turned and glanced over the shelves of books. "She may be many years older then you, But I figured she could help you train a bit. I need her out of the way while I am the other kings finish up some things. She feels the need to be involved in things since she is next in line for the crown." Aislinn simple nodded as he turned back to her. "Good, she is expected tomorrow. I will let her know I would like her to help you train." His green eyes pierced her and a slight smile grew on his slender lips. He nodded as he began to speak again "You will meet my expectations." he turned and left.
Aislinn studied him as he left. His long red hair was beginning to turn gray in areas. She had not seen that weeks before and she wondered if being away from the magic of their city was beginning to drain him. Or this 'war' was ageing him. He still carried himself like the old king always had. But it dawned on Aislinn that Keryth was almost a hundred and ten years old now. High elves on average lived till a hundred and twenty five years, but heirs to the thrown lived longer then average. Keryth's father had lived for two hundred years. She frowned and wondered what the king had meant when he said 'You will meet my expectations.'. She shook her head and went back to her studies...
Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
It had been a little over a month since Treena had become mute. Many people wondered if the young princess could even talk at all. There were whispers among the servants and even some of the other royals that she was beyond help now. That she would soon become a burden upon her mother and her brother who would soon become king. It wasn't something she wanted to become. All she wanted to do was to have everything return to the way it once was for her and her family.
She spent her days and night studying the scriptures. All she wanted to do was become better, stronger than she was now. She refused be as weak as was when she had a chance to save her father. She even had begun to practice on herself and begun to wear long dresses with long sleeves to cover the bruises, cuts, and markings she had given herself in attempts to heal herself. Finley had wondered a few times what was causing her to limp on the days that she had messed up a spell too much.
Her eyes burned from the over use as she stared at her books by candle light. She refused to put it down though until she finally got the spell done correctly. Her lips moved as she read the words that danced by the candle light, her mind swam as she struggled to stay awake. Soon she felt her head slip and soon she felt herself being dragged down into the depths of sleep.
Treena woke with a start causing the table to lurch forward before it settled back on it's legs. She stood, slowly since she was extremely stiff, and made her way to the bed before she crawled in and snuggled under the covers. Just as she got comfortable though the maids came in to ready her for the day.
She sighed heavily as she slowly crawled out of bed. Since there was no meetings today the maids dressed her in her day dress, pulling back pieces of her hair into a plait while adding a circlet to her forehead, securing it in the plait. The dress was lighter versions of her royal colors, the under dress a nice bright teal while the over was a rich blue and the sleeves were tied tight to her arms with sparkling silver threads. When she was ready her mother came in.
"Treena... You look miserable. Why don't you go out into the gardens and get a little bit of sun and fresh air? I think your studies can wait for another day. Those dark circles are just getting worse. Are you having nightmares again...?" Bridgette gazed down at her young daughter with deep concern.
Treena shook her head in answer to the nightmares. It was true, she had not have any nightmares in a week, she had been so far exhausted by the time she had actually let herself there was no energy to even have the nightmares.
"Well good..." Her mother sighed while touching her daughters silvery blond hair. "Now I think you should go outside, maybe visit your new foal. I hear she has gotten much stronger now. I think it would do you some good." She smiled and went to the door. She opened it and looked at Finley who had been standing silently outside of it. "You take good care of my daughter or it will be your hide I will be whipping."
"Of course Queen Bridgette. I will take excellent care of your daughter. I will not let any harm befall her." He answered.
She nodded and smiled. "Good, now make sure she gets some fresh air."
"Of course your highness." He answered again as he bowed when Bridgette left. Turning to the door he looked in at the sightly confused Treena. "Shall we go take a walk?"
Treena blinked, sigh silently then followed Finley out into the gardens.

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Aislinn glanced and saw Finley and Treena enter the gardens. She gathered her cloak and opened the door that led out from the library.
"Good Afternoon." she smiled and waved to the princess and guard. "I was going to go down to the stables in a bit, would you like to go down too? Your filly is going to be a strong and beautiful one" Aislinn approached the girl. It had been about 2 weeks since she had seen Treena, and even they they had just passed each other in the halls since the night the foal was born. The princess looked tired and worn, Aislinn knew the girl had to have been studying to hard. She glanced at Finley who stepped back a bit to let the girls speak.
"Have you been studying to hard, Treena? You need to lay off a bit" She looked the girl in the eyes and frowned. She slowly laid her hand lightly on the girls arm, she favored it a bit because it was slightly burnt on the palm from practicing her magic. The nurses had wrapped it but it still burnt a bit. "You were up all night huh?"

Treena blinked when Aislinn came over to her and Finley. She hadn't been around Aislinn since the filly had been born. They had both gone their own way for studying. Part of her felt a little sad that she had ignored Aislinn but she honestly did not know if she could even talk again. She struggled even at night in her room to make a simple sound, there was no way that she could see that she would be able to make words.
Treena watched as Aislinn favored her hand lightly then noticed the wrapping. She had a moment of wondering if the girl had burned her hand during her studies then told herself that of course she had burned her hand training. With sudden intent she picked up Aislinn's hand gently, turned it over and undid the wraps. It took her only a moment to summon up the gifts she had studied so hard for and then she was focusing it down into healing the blistered, burned skin. Healing the blister took longer than she wanted it to, she assumed it was because she was far beyond exhausted, but soon the skin healed up without leaving a single mare that it had ever been burnt. She smiled just slightl before she released Aislinn's hand.

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
The healing tingled a little but she was more amazed as she watched the skin heal so fast. She had never been healed by a preist or paladin, it was new to her. She had only heard stories of them being able to do it. She was truly amazed that with how young Treena was she could heal even if it was a small wound.
"Thank you..." Aislinn smiled at Treena. "Glad to see that your late nights are paying off, but you really shouldn't push so hard. Shall we go see you foal?" She took Treena's hand in her own newly healed one and started towards the stables, Finley close behind. Aislinn didn't talk much on the way but as she pushed the door open she looked at Treena again.
"Have you thought of a name yet?" she knew the girl probably wasn't going to talk but she also wondered if the girl had even thought about it. She took her head again and walked to Justice's stall. The mare whinnied as the stall door was opened. Aislinn cooed her and patted her nose. The was a small whinny behind her, the foal pranced around its mother. It was still all legs, but not like when it had been born. She was getting strong though and and fur was now dry. Treena could see the filly's true colors. A loud snort with a foot stamp came from a few stalls down.
"I will be back!" she smiled and let go of Treena's hand and ran down the stalls. She quickly climbed over the stall door and dissappered into Truthful's stall.

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Treena blinked, she was ashamed to think that she truly had not thought of a name for her foal. She honestly could not even think of the names that were given to horses back home. She struggled to remember any name and finally remembered that many of the horses were named after the elements. Wind had been her father's horse while her mother's was wave. She smiled to herself as she looked over at the small foal. Dawn. That was the name she finally decided on as she gazed at the colors of the little filly.
She flinched slightly when Finley moved up into her peripheral but tried to play it off as she bent down and wrapped her arms around her knees and just watched the little horse silently. After a moment she held a hand out, her fingers brushing the soft coat. It made her smile again as she watched the filly prance around her mother on long legs.
Finley smiled to himself as he watched Treena enjoy the little filly. 'Maybe, just maybe we'll finally get her to talk.' He thought.

"Treena!" Aislinn called leading Truthfull all clad in his tack down the path. "Do you want to go riding?" She looked at the girl. "You can ride Kindling if you wish, she is a nice mare." she watched at the girl watched her filly. 'She is going to be a great horse'
Aislinn tied Truthful's reins to a hook and went into a small back room. She re emerged brushing snow off a carrot and went into the stall. she held her hand out to the girl.
"Justice loves them" she started to laugh as the mare pushed her nose again her shoulder. Truthful huffed outside, "You will get something later, you pig..!" she looked out at her stallion.

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Treena stood up as Aislinn called out to her. She looked a little confused when Aislinn asked about riding, but before she could agree she was off again into another room only to return with a carrot.
"Justice Loves them!" Aislin said with a laugh as Treena realized she was handing the carrot to her. She blinked in confusion and flinched again as Finley left her side. She took the carrot as she watched Finley walk to the end of the stables to retrieve his own horse, or that's what she assumed.
She shook her head in surprise as she watched Aislinn suddenly run off after Finley, wondering for a moment what she could suddenly need before she sighed to herself and broke a tiny piece of the carrot. She smiled at Justice as she handed the carrot to her, smiling more as she horse nibbled it out of her head. Kneeling down she smiled at the little foal and held out the tiny sliver she had peeled off from the carrot. It wasn't much, just enough to let the foal have a taste but nothing to choke on. She let the filly take the sliver of carrot as she ran her hand through the mane slowly.

Aislinn readied Kindling for riding and lead her out of the stall, quickly glancing at Finley who was still getting his horse ready. She turned the horse around and tied her to another hook in the hall.
"Treena, this is Kindling." she ran her hand down the side of the horse's body. Her redish/brown coat was as soft as a foals. "Come on while I am right her, I don't want her to scare when you come behind her." she smiled at the girl and patted the horse on the rear. "She is only 4, still young and loves new people. Just a little hesitant of them till you look her in the eye." She allowed the girl to walk around then slipped back into Justice's stall. She patted the mother on the nose then closed the stall door behind her and ran off to the room where she got the carrot from. Returning with 2 apples and another carrot in hand. She handed the apple to Treena and point toward Kindling, who was sniffling and moving her lips on Treena's shoulder. Returning to Truthful she gave the horse the apple as Finley emerged from his mount's stall.
"Ready?" she asked looking at him and reaching the carrot toward his horse, who took it gratefully. Quickstep was one of Aislinn's favorite horses.
