Aislinn turned and sighed. "I have reading to get back too..." She wiggled out of Cearúil's arms and walked to the door opening it sightly.
"As I promised I will speak to Princess Treena when she is feeling up to it. Stop blaming yourself..." she faked a smiled and left the room.

She was back in her room soon after and slid into the chair in front of the fireplace. She pulled her knees to her chest, burred her face in them. She sobbed for a moment before there was a knock on the door. Quickly Aislinn wiped her eyes and sat up right in the chair.

"Yes?"

"Milady.." Marwyn stepped into the room. "A maid found this in the garden." the gaurd walked over and placed the book from this morning on the tabled beside Aislinn.

"Thank you Marwyn." she nodded watching the fire.

"Princess, is everything alright? If I might ask..."

"Just tired." she turned and gave him a small smile.

"Your worried about Princess Treena? I heard she was ill, I am she she will be fine... They sent for a healer."

Aislinn nodded "She will be fine, I know that. Oh! that reminds me" she stood and walked over to her bag. "Can you send word back home to my father that more help and healers need sent to help the city?"

"Aye, it will be done."

"Thank you." she heard Marwyn slip out the door. Aislinn seated herself at the desk and began to study one of the many scrolls she had brought with her.

Cearúil watched Aislinn go and sighed. He wanted nothing more than to tell her they could be together and be happy. That they could go to her home in Summerdell and he could be her King there, but he was never one for lying. It would hurt far too much to lie to her than it did to tell her the truth. She already knew the truth and she was tough, she could handle it better than most.

Treena opened her eyes and stared blearily up at a dark stone ceiling. It took her a long moment to figure out where she was. The last thing she could really remember was laying against a tree in the forest and her brother and Finley showing up. After another moment she realized she was in her bed in the castle and then she remembered her brother had ridden her back to the castle and Finley carried her to her room. She tried to sit up but her body was far too tired to move. Her head thumped with the effort and sparkles danced in front of her eyes before she finally stopped trying to sit up.

She wondered if her brother was mad with her, or if Finley or Aislinn was worried about her. She knew she was making mistakes when she pushed herself a little too far each time, but the sick don't wait, they need help when they need it. Sighing she puffed her lips and resigned herself to the bed, she wouldn't be getting up soon; at least she was comfy.

Alus had came to go over a few lessons with Aislinn shortly after Marwyn had left her alone. Once Alus was gone, Aislinn packed up her things and took a walk around the castle. Eventually she ended up staring at Treena's chamber doors. With a sigh she knocked on the door and pushed it open enough to call in.

"Treena, you awake?" after hearing a weak 'Yes' she pushed the door open and smiled at the other princess.

"I am to talk to you, though you probably know that.. and probably know what I would say.." she slid into the chair by Treena's head.

"Something like... I was being reckless and stupid...?" Treena murmured as she turned her head to look at Aislinn. "Maybe with a bit of 'why in the Light's name would you ever do something like that?' just for good measure. Or... 'I can't believe you would continue doing something that was such a detriment to your own health'. Any of those close...?" She smiled weakly.

Aislinn narrowed her eyes toward her dear friend. "Well, at least you are well enough to mock.." she smiled a little and placed her hand on Treena's.

"Your brother worries is all. For goodness sake you had him yelling at me." she frowned a little. "But I do want to know how you thought running yourself this low would help anyone? Your people have gotten by this long But without there Princess they wouldn't have anything to look forward too. They wouldn't even have a King if something happened to you..."

Treena sighed and puffed up her cheeks. "I don't think my brother would ruin his reign if something happened to me..." She murmured. "He would if something happened to you." She turned to look at her friend as she said it.

"You're his life... He'd do anything for you. Anything within reason that is. He'd give up Fieurcoast if my father were still alive, and even now he'd give it up if he could find me a King. But he knows you. You would hate him if he forced me into a marriage I wasn't going to be happy in. He's stubborn and selfish but he knows when he's beat. He loves you more than he loves me." She smiled weakly before turning away. "I wish there was a way for both of us to be happy..." She closed her eyes sighing and she sunk into the bed. "I wish there was a way I could be with Finley..." she murmured.

Aislinn laughed. "That may be true in that pretty little head of yours." she poked the princess softly. "You are his blood and he wouldn't be the same if anything happened to you. He sure as the sun couldn't rule a kingdom." she sighed.

They sat their for a while in silence, Aislinn bit her lip "I am going to head to Violetvald early, I am leaving tomorrow." she looked at her friend and folded her hands together on her lap like her mother always did when she was being firm with her.

Treena smiled weakly at her friend. "Make sure you write me everyday. I'll be sure to tell you all about the stupid things my brother does. He's going to be really upset that you're leaving early but he can suck it up. He's the King after all."

"Study hard..." She murmured. "I want to hear all about how Aislinn is the first ever human Magi to accomplish more in a few months than most of the Elves can learn in a few years." After a moment she added, "you're going to be great... I just know it."

"I am not worried about that. Its you I am worried about. Are you going to stop trying to be a hero and actually take care of yourself. Your people love you and don't want to see you like this." she sighed. "Your Brother will be fine."

Her eyes followed the spaces between stones on the floor. "He is the reason I am leaving early. But If I have to come back here to watch you.. I can deal with him." She really didn't want to leave but it did pain her to be around The King when they couldn't show their love in public.

Treena reached over slowly and rested her hand on her friend's shoulder since she couldn't reach Aislinn's hands. "I'm sorry for the pain you must go through... If I could rule without him or a King of my own I would gladly hand off my annoying older brother for you to deal with. If we had my Clerics that were from the city it wouldn't be as big a problem as my brother thinks it would be. You'd just have to have two kids so that one can come back here and take over seeing as I wouldn't marry." She smiled weakly in attempt to cover the small amount of pain she felt.

"And I will promise to not push myself... as far..." She smirked. "I can't promise to not do it again, but I can try to stop before it becomes such a problem. Maybe if we could find some girls in the city who have been touched enough by the Light to become Clerics themselves, but I haven't had the time to look for them. I can't make myself more than one person to do everything that needs to be done."

Treena huffed as she felt her body wanting her to sleep though it was still early. "Come back and visit... after you've studied some. I want you to see the City when it's really prospering. I think you would find it just as beautiful as Summerdell... in it's own way."
