Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Aislinns eye flew opened and she stared into the dark of her room. The moon was in the middle of the sky now, she groaned and rolled over. Her hands reached to pulled the sheets over her when she realized she was still dressed in her slacks and tunic, asleep on top of the made bed. She rolled off the bed and used the stand beside her bed to push her up. Her hand brushed against the ring Cearúil had had made for her Birthday this year. A flash of white light and pain seared through her head. Something was wrong... She picked up the ring again but could not get another feeling from it. Without thinking of anything that had happened that day, Aislinn ran out of her chambers and down the halls toward the guest chamber Cearúil had been staying in the past 4 years. She didn't knock before pushing the door open.
"Cearúil?" her brown eyes searched the pitch black room. A sharp cold brushed her neck, a sword had been placed against her throat and she stopped dead in her tracks. Cearúil's room was placed to the back of the castle and little moonlight entered the windows. She swallowed hard, her neck pressed against the blade as she did.
"Who is it?" Cearúil cold voice bit through the dark.
"Cearúil, its Aislinn." the sword dropped and his hand wrapped around her arm pulling her into a deep embrace and hard kiss against her cold lips. She pushed away. "You are alright?" she looked him over as best she could wither her eyes a little more adjusted to the dark. Hurt flooded Cearúil's almost glowing eyes when she pushed him away, then turned to worry with her question.
"I am, you frightened me but that is all..." he held tight to her not letting her push him away more then she had.
"No, something is wrong..." his arms fell to his sides. Her mind soared to what the flash could have been. It had been the magic in her blood, we she touched the ring it was telling her the person linked to that object was in trouble. Or someone close to them.. "Treena...!" she almost yelled running out the door and tore into the other room. Treena was not back yet, Cearúil came tearing in behind her.
"What is goi.." she stopped mid sentence seeing that Treena was not asleep in her bed. He grabbed Aislinn's arms hard, not the loving hard like before, but with an anger was growing inside of him. "Where is she Aislinn, how did you know she wasn't here." Cearúil shook her once, hard.
"Ouch, Cearúil let me go. I didn't know if she was in here or not, I felt something and thought..." he let her go "it was you in trouble. Now I know why it didn't show me again..." she looked around for something Treena used everyday and running her hands on everything laid out in the room. Finally something came to her "She got lost.." she mumbled and started out the door when Cearúil grabbed her arm.
"What is going on?" he nearly begged her. Worry, hate and fear filled his eyes. Aislinn knew he was fearing the worst.
"Run with me." she yanked her arm out of his grip and ran for the stables. As she thought Dawn was not there either. Cearúil stopped behind her, "I left earlier to be alone, Treena came after me I guess. I yelled at her thinking she was coming to say something hateful and anger to me..." Aislinn raised her arms toward Dawn's stall as she talked. "I thought... I saw her leaving your chambers earlier in a mad huff. I thought she was angry at me and at that time I just didn't want anyone.." Cearúil's hand touched her shoulder, she could not feel his cold through the leather of the tunic but the weight of his hand was enough to know that he was extremely worried. "She took off and must had gotten lost on the way back.." she sighed fighting back the tears. This was her fault...
"What are you doing."
"Tracking spell.." she opened her eyes as a low white glow started in the stall. "I can track were Dawn is. And I know where they are." Aislinn opened Truthful's stall door and pushed herself onto him, Cearúil was doing the same beside in Invincible's stall. They rode hard out of the stall and toward where the glowing line told Aislinn where Treena and Dawn were. It was invisible to Cearúil, but he trusted Aislinn. She had became a good mage in the past few years. Tracking spells were something she learned to use before she had even gotten her first glyph. They rode until Aislinn saw white robes in the distance. She pushed Truthfull as hard he could to make sure the princess was alright.

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Treena watched as the night wore on before she finally sat down again against the tree. She was tired, more so than she thought she could be, but there wasn't any chance she would be resting this night. The sound of the nocturnal wildlife made her blood run cold as Dawn pawed the earth repeatedly out of discomfort. Treena had taken the horse's saddle and bridle off to let the horse be as comfortable as possible while not in the stables. She had taken the dagger out of it's hidden sheath as she had taken the stuff off of Dawn, she wanted something to keep her safe this night.
Dawn had finally come and sat down beside Treena, letting her lean into the warmth of her side. The horse's warmth helped chase some of the chill away but Treena could not take her eyes off the surrounding forest. She was waiting, something big was watching her and she would not back down. Her lips pulled back as she tried to scare off the unwanted visitor but she knew it was of no use; the animal would be coming out if it wanted to whether or not she wanted it too.
"I'm sorry Dawn. I didn't want to get us lost... I should have been paying attention when we were riding. I just didn't want to return to the castle and I kept pushing you off into some direction that you were unfamiliar with." She sighed as she patted her horse's side. All they could do now was wait. It they made it through the night she would try back in the morning.
Whatever was out there had claws, and big ones. Treena could tell by the raking sound made on the trees it past. Finally she couldn't stand it anymore, she stood and gripped the small dagger in her hand. "I know you're out there!" She called as if the animal could understand her. "Just come out here and get it over with!"
Suddenly she wished she hadn't as one of Summerdell's infamous small dragons stepped out of the tree line. It hissed at her, the claws digging rivets into the ground as it readied for an attack. Treena swallowed turning to Dawn for an instant, not taking her eyes off the dragon. "Get up Dawn..." She murmured as the horse stood. "Go, get out of here." She slapped her horse's rump sending the horse off in what she hopped would be the right direction, she didn't want her horse to die with her. She crouched slightly, bending at the knees as she held the dagger in front of her. "Well come on then." She muttered.
The dragon charged her, its claws outstretched for the most damage possible. Treena let Finley's training take control, she rolled to one side as the dragon sunk its claws into the dirt where she stood. She swung the dagger out, cutting into it's side before moving out of reach. It was like dancing, that's what Finley had told her. When facing an enemy one moved in a circle around the opponent, taking swings at one another, trying to stay just out of reach. She never believed him until now as she moved around the dragon, taking chances of getting into its reach to strike out at it. She didn't get away completely unscathed, the claws did damage to her arms, legs and even stomach, but not enough to truly hurt her.
Finally she had enough, she knew that the weak point on the dragon was its underbelly and the only way to get to that was to hold still and hope that she would sink the dagger into its heart before the dragon could sink its claws into her.
"Treena!!" She could hear someone yell but she didn't dare look away. The dragon charged, roaring at her, shaking her down to her core. It leaped into the air and Treena fell down onto her knees bringing the dagger up and sinking it home as the claws tore into her arms. Pain erupted, tearing threw her as the weight of the now dead dragon fell on her. She panted, no energy left to push it off, no correct thinking process to try and summon up her magic to try and heal her.

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Aislinn yelled again and jumped off her horse running to Treena. She pushed the Dragon off with help from Cearúil and slid to her knees to see if Treena was okay.
"By the light you are lucky!" she said trying to wipe of she of the blood with her tunic. "It was a green dragon, if it would have been red or black we would have been in trouble. Would have burnt your skin right off with its blood. I feared it was a black from its dark scales, I could not see from back there." She let Cearúil tend to his sister and turned to inspect the dragon. She walked around the beast kicking and prodding it a few times. After a few moments she turned back to Treena,
"Do you think you are strong enough to travel?" she looked her friend in the eye, her own full of worry. Cearúil gave her a glare like she wasn't worried about Treena.
"Cearúil, we have larger problems. I just watched the gentlest of dragon breeds attack un-provoked. Greens do not attack or harm unless its for their life, not to mention they are not from this area. Something was wrong with this dragon and I fear its not the only one. It reaks of magic..." she turned again trying to looked for something they could use to bring the dragon back to the castle. It was only an adolescent so the horses could pull it back. But Cearúil and Aislinn both rode off bare back. Her eyes went to Dawn's saddle and then back to Treena.
"Where is Dawn?"

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Treena righted herself using Cearúil as support. A little dazzed she blinked repeatedly as she tried to pull herself back into reality. She was covered in blood from both her and the dragon and ached from head to toe. Her chest heaved as she tried to push the imaginary weight of the dragon off her. It took her a few minutes to realize it was gone. She gazed up at her brother as Aislinn as if she just realized they were there, but she couldn't actally understand them; the roar from the dragon seemed to have messed up her hearing. Moments went by as she tried to piece herself together as Aislinn talked. Finally she realized Aislinn was now talking to her.
"Ride...?" She questioned as she tried to think about what she was just asked. She felt her brother glare at Aislinn without really seeing it, but she couldn't figure out why. Then she realized just how much of a mess she looked like. Blood soaked her from head to toe as minor cuts all over her started to clot on their own, the one in her shoulder continued to bleed out telling her that if it wasn't stopped soon she would bleed to death. She tried to center herself and summon up as much of her healing magic as she could, but she was far too tired from the fight and all she was able to do was to stop the bleeding; there wasn't enough strength in her to heal her own wounds at the moment.
She blinked at Aislinn again as she tried to register the question she was just asked. "Dawn...?" She murmured as she tried to think past the fog that threatened to consume her. Lucky for her the horse in question trotted up to them. She shook her head at Aislinn and pawed at the ground.
"Dawn..." Treena murmured. It touched her that the horse had not actually left her, but just run a wide circle around them. "There she is..."

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
"I see.." Aislinn clicked at the horse and is trotted to her side. "Cearúil, I will saddle Dawn and you can take Treena back to get fixed up. Lady Helgar is there, take her to her. She is a cleric, a damn good one too."
"What are you going to do?" Cearúil looked at Aislinn, worry for her filled his eyes for a minute before his attention went back to his sister.
"Just worry about her, she is dazed and" she pointed toward Treena's one shoulder, "that slice looks deep." Aislinn untied the sash from her waist and wrapped it as tight as she could around the awkward spot on Treena's shoulder. After tying it off she turned back to the horse and placed the leather saddle and bridle onto Dawn. She helped Cearúil push Treena onto the horse, Cearúil climbing behind her and held onto her with one arm, reins with the other. He looked with a frown at Aislinn before she slapped the horse on the rump and Dawn tore into the night. Aislinn watched the light horse until she was to far gone to see. Truthful and Invincible both whinnied at her out of worry.
"Hush, stay." she walked to the forest edge and started cutting the strong vines from the trees. King Jan's brother who was sent to train her in weapons has also taught her some skills if she had to run she could live off the land. One was using the strong veins as ropes. "I am sorry" she whispered to the trees. Once she had enough she drug it back to the dragon and horses.
She fashioned and tied a make shift harness for the horses. Then tied the dragons feet together and to to the horses harnesses. It would be slow but both horses were strong and would get the dragon back to the castle. She climbed atop Truthful and they started to move. Invincible stayed in step with Truthful in a good canter, the dragon drug heavily behind them.

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Treena fellt odd, out of place with reality. Had she swallowed some of the dragon blood? Had it mixed with hers? Or had the magic that contaminated the dragon somehow contaminated her? She could feel everything, hear everything, see everything even but she couldn't comprehend it. She couldn't get her mind to wrap around the reality of things. It just stayed floating, aloof of the world. It should have bothered her but even then she couldn't focus on that. Her mind began wandering through her memories and even her nightmares. Images sprang up before her causing her to cry out in alarm starling her brother.
"What is it?" Cearúil asked as he slowed Dawn. He wasn't certain he would get an answer but he had to try. Seeing his sister in such a state terrified him. His heart burned and ached as he remembered the fight they had just had. Would that be the last thing he was ever going to be able to say to her had and have her understand him? Was she going to be like this forever? All he could do was hope that the cleric Lady Helgar would be able to fix both the physical damage and the possible mental damage her sister had just sustained.
Treena shook her head in answer to her brother's question. His voice broke through her fog but it didn't last. Soon she was pulled back into the confusion and aloof dream-like land her mind was floating around in. All she wanted was to be able to return to reality but she wasn't certain it could happen now.
Cearúil dismounted Dawn, carefully taking Treena off the saddle and settling her down on a stool. He then took the saddle and bridle off of Dawn and put the horse in her stall. If Treena did regain her mind correctly she wouldn't be happy that he left her horse dressed and uncomfortable. So he did what he could then picked Treena up gently and carried her into the castle.
"Where is Lady Helgar?!" He yelled as soon as he was inside. "Someone call her immediately! Tell her to go to Princess Treena's room. It's an emergency!"
A few mads scuttled around the corner only to stop and stare as they saw Cearúil holding Treena. Two of them broke off to find the Cleric while one stayed behind to help Cearúil take care of Treena as much as possible. She shooed Cearúil when they entered Treena's room and summoned several other maids to help undress the princess. They undressed her, washed her down gently to remove the blood, exposing all the little cuts she had sustained. They then dressed her in a plain soft cotton night dress and laid her on the bed, waiting for the Cleric.

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Marwyn and a younger knight meet Aislinn half way with a horse and cart. Cearúil had let them know what Aislinn was doing and Marwyn took it upon himself to retrieve her. They took Invincible and harnessed him, with a true harness, to the cart. Once the Dragon was in the cart Aislinn took off on Truthful to make she Treena was alright. Marwyn and the knight would get the dragon back faster without her. Aislinn locked Truthful in his stall and ran into the castle. A maid that was bussling from Treena's room made a gasp when she saw Aislinn covered in less blood then the other princess. After assuring her that she was alright the maid left to finish what ever she was sent to do.
Pushing open the door Lady Helgar was already tending to Treena. The Dwarf turned to Aislinn's entrance with a sigh and a worried look. Aislinn relised that there were lots of people who had gathered in the room now. A few maids, Her own parents and Queen Bridgette, but she didn't see Cearúil. Lady Helgar raised her hand to speak,
"Lady Helgar, I am fine. No injury and I made sure not to swallow any blood." Cearúil stepped out of a shadow as Aislinn approached where Treena laid. Lady Helgar nodded and turned back to finish tending to her patient. Cearúil look puzzled as to what Aislinn just said, after a look around so did Queen Bridgette. "Umm, green dragons have a natural drug in their blood. It will wear off eventually but until then, well I do not know if she has said anything but she is probably not very level right now. Father can I have a word?" Lady Helgar was making quick work on Treena and Aislinn knew the girl would be fine by mid day. The sun was already coming up and there was business she needed to talk to her father about. Aislinn followed her Father out of the room.
"Yes, My daughter?" King Ivae took Aislinn's hands in his out of concern.
"We have a bigger issue then Treena. She will be fine but the dragon that attacked her, and I fear might be all the dragons in the mountains and forests south, are not so lucky." her father looked puzzled so she continued. "I watched the dragon attack Princess Treena for nothing father. It just attacked it was not a red or a black, but a green..." Ivae nodded
"I need to contact the elves." he dropped his hands and started to walk away
"Father!" she said quickly, he turned his face back to her. "I smell magic, it was not natural... someone is behind it." with a short nod Ivae turned and left. Aislinn went back into the room to check on Treena.

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Treena opened her eyes slowly and stared up at the ceiling. It took her a moment to realize what she was actually looking at which caused her to blink rapidly until she could clear some of the fog away. She tried to remember what had happened but it was like the night before was completely lost to her in that fog. She remembered being angry with her brother than angry with Aislinn. She remembered going far off in the wrong direction and getting lost. Then she thought she remembered a dragon but part of it felt almost completely a dream. She pushed herself up and suddenly her body ached all over from an intensive healing session, that's when she realized the dragon attack was not a dream. She groaned and let herself fall back into the pillows as she finally remembered the night before.
"I feel like hell..." She muttered as she put a hand to her forehead. It surprised her that she was even awake which meant the Cleric that healed her was extremely talented. The only one she could think of at the moment was Lady Helgar, the Dwarf Cleric. She smiled to herself as she thought of the nice happy lady. She had taken some training from Helgar so she knew personally just how strong the Dwarf's magic truly was. Sighing she rolled over onto her side and snuggled into the blankets, there was no way she would be able to get up and walk around at the moment, healing large amounts of wounds was always tiring to the healer and heal-ie so she decided to just try and rest.
'I wonder where everyone is...' She thought to herself as she closed her eyes.

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
"Right here..." Aislinn stretched from the chair she had been curled up in all night. "You look like hell too, as I am sure I do also." she hadn't left the room since she had talked to her father. Queen Avae has excused herself after Aislinn had re entered the room. Cearúil has talked Queen Bridgette into going back and getting some rest. Aislinn then did the same to him, promising that she would watch the girl till she awoke. Cearúil had been hesitant but knew that Aislinn would fetch him when Treena finally came out of her sleep.
She rubbed her eyes and left her legs fall from the ball she was in and touched the floor. The cold stone stung her bare feet for a moment. She had forgotten she took her slippers off. Her leaf green tunic and brown slacks were blackened with blood. Probably from both the Dragon and Treena. They crunched as she moved. Rubbing her eyes she stood and found her slippers.
"Glad you finally came out of your sleep. Cearúil will probably be in again shortly, its been an hour since his last visit. You have been asleep all day." She brushed her hair down and nodded at the puzzled look on Treena's face. "Its well past mid day, the dragon's blood has that effect. Your brother seems to think that it was because of your injuries but you have been since healed. I imagine just sore, you know as well as anyone magic can't fix that." she smiled and placed her hand on Treena's.
"Not very fit to be seen but I wanted to be here when you woke."

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Treena blushed and gripped Aislinn's hand gently. "I was unaware that some Dragon's blood was indeed drug like, we had not gotten to that part of the training and we do not have green dragons where I come from. I'm not even sure the dragon population that we had back home will still be there, many of the animals were either killed or fled upon the attack. I doubt much of the wildlife population has returned or even will be returning." She sighed as she thought about it, it was a sad notion to her because she really did enjoy the wildlife of her home. She pushed herself up into a sitting position as she let go of Aislinn's hand. Shaking her head she laughed at herself.
"At least now I can say that I know the effects of taking Green Dragon blood during and after consumption." She rubbed her eyes a little and tried to comb out her hair with her fingers. "My brother should not worry so, he probably needs to slep more that he needs to come rushing in here every hour or so. Honestly it's not like I can go anywhere." She sighed again, she was certain that this was the one and only time that she would ever consume dragon's blood, on purpose or on accident. The affects made her sick to her stomach and it probably did not help that she had had nothing to eat for a whole day now. It wasn't something completely enjoyable.
"I am sorry Aislinn..." She murmured as she bit her lip. "I should not have lashed out as I had... I was hurt from the things my brother had said to me and I too thought you were going to blame me for your unhappiness... If I could I would gladly take the throne so that Cearúil could stay here with you, but I do not know a thing about ruling a kingdom and where I come from you cannot rule without a husband... I do not want to be forced into some political marriage just so my brother can be happy. It's selfish, I know, but I too want to be happy and somehow have both of you be happy..." She sighed and added to herself If only I did not love Finley as I do... It would have made things much easier for everyone.

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
"Its alright Treena, we were both wrong on what we said and how we acted. I believe we have both been punished for it.." Aislinn sat back in the chair she was in before. "And you can't do much about royal lines, they are there no matter. Your brother is first born and the only son. He has to take what is his, he nor you can do anything about that. If my father had another heir I would return to your home with Cearúil. I don't so I have to stay here and if I must marry to take the crown I will under false love..." she frowned and pushed the tears back
"Even with the Centaur in our alliance and Princess Adilya taking the crown I doubt my father's followers would follow me without a king. Its never been done for humans. Elves and Centaurs are different creatures then us.." Treena's last words registered in Aislinn then. She turned back to the girl with shock on her face. "Did he try to force you into a marriage, Treena! He has no right in that not to be with me." If Cearúil had done so or even suggested it so that he could be with Aislinn, she would be outraged. It was wrong and beyond selfish for him to.
The two princess's stomachs seemed to growl at the same time. Aislinn righted herself "We need to get you some food, Dragon's Blood is much like alcohol. It is a wonder you are not sick." she smiled and called for a maid. When 2 peeked in Aislinn ordered one to fetch Cearúil and the other to get food for Princess Treena. She let out a heavy breath as the maids closed the door and the room fell silent again.

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Treena blushed. She had truly thought that maybe Aislinn knew what her brother had wanted her to do. Honestly she wasn't even sure that he was in his right mind when he had mentioned it. But it was true, she was not the first born and unless she somehow married before he did she would not be able to take the throne. She wondered if she could fall in love and marry before her brother, but it was doubtful. She loved Finley more than anything. Her heart ached without him but she didn't let Aislinn know the truth. "Your people are much more open about a queen ruler without a king than my home. Especially now as we are just rebuilding." A thought struck her but she closed her mouth as the maids came in to get order for food. As soon as they left she turned to Aislinn.
"Why don't you come study in Fieurcoast for awhile? I know our capital had a wide selection of ancient texts on magi magic that were gifts from the elves by us for hunting grounds. I think you might like our city. It's lovely there."

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Aislinn frowned at the offer. "I don't know that they would still be there. From the way Cearúil talked there were not reports back yet of what the damage was exactly." She watched out the window. She knew her friend meant well, but Aislinn truly didn't want to go to Fieurcoast. In her heart she knew she would not want to leave if she studied there. "I will be close by next year though..." she turned to face Treena again. "The new magi city was built near your home. They left the ruins Deerhedge since Legion rules that island now. I will be going to study at Violetvald starting my 18th birthday. Only magi are allow in the city, but its a days trip and I would be able to come visit you often. That is if Cearúil would allow me.."
"Why wouldn't I?" Aislinn jumped and turned towards the door. Neither had heard him arrive.
"That doesn't matter. Ask you can see Princess Treena is awake now, and I need to speak with you. The hall for a moment?" Aislinn started towards the door but Cearúil moved to the side of Treena's bed.
"Anything you need to say you can discuss in front of my sister." he placed a hand on Treena's and stared cold at Aislinn. She didn't know how to react, just an hour ago it was like nothing between them had happened. Now yesterday mornings events all flooded back to her.
"No, its fine. Perhaps another time... Treena I am sure the maids will be here soon with your food. I should probably leave you two alone." she slipped out the door. Both hurt and confused Aislinn made her way to her own chambers after asking a maid to fetch a bath for her.

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Treena watched as Aislinn walked out then slapped at her brother's hand. "What in the name of the Light has gotten into you?!" She cried as she stared at Cearúil. "How dare you treat her like that. You are not the only one suffering here. What gives you the right to be the one wallow and complain while we have to sit here in silence?!"
Cearúil opened his mouth to argue but Treena just kept going. "No! No I do not want to hear it from you. You have no right to say anything in this room. You are being selfish and childish. You are not thinking about anyone but yourself and I know the first thing out of your mouth is not going to be something nice. You will just try and defend yourself and you'll probably try and blame this on Aislinn or I. This is not our fault, this is yours. You know better than how you are acting. You are to be king of Fieurcoast! Not some five year-old throwing a tantrum because you didn't get the candy you wanted. You are older than I am, you are King, not a child Prince."
Cearúil glared at his younger sister, his lips pinched in a thin line. He was fuming as he struggled to figure out what he wanted to say or do to her, but she had had enough. She stood, wavering a little as she did. "Get out... Just get out. I do not want to hear any of it from you. When your tantrum is done and you feel like being the eighteen year old man that you are then you can come and talk to me." She turned on her heel and stalked to the other side of the room.

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Aislinn watched the steam rise from the hot bath the maids had poured for her. They had left right after to stand outside since Aislinn normally shooed them out anymore, anyway. She pulled off her tunic and slacks before sliding into the hot water. It was nice and a happy moan flooded through her. She washed, twice over to make sure the blood was off. When she went under to wash her hair she heard a knock on the door. She looked toward it, hair dripping like a wet rat. "Yes?" she called before a maid peeked her head in.
"Milady, Prince Cearúil is here. I told him you were bathing and he insists on waiting."
Aislinn sighed "Alright, I am almost finished." the maid slipped back out and she finished scrubbing her hair with a huff. After rinsing she reached for the towel that sat on a stand beside the bath. She dried and slipping into a simple light yellow gown before calling to the maids that she was finished. The maids hurried and taking buckets of the dirty water out before there was enough that 3 of them could carry the bath itself. Aislinn and Cearúil just stared at each other and after a few moments they were gone. Cearúil opened his mouth before Aislinn could.
"I am sorry about earlier. There is just to much going on and I was hurt by yesterday." Aislinn went to answer but Cearúil continued "I know why you chose what you did, and I do respect it. It was just not the answer I was looking for. Part of me does not to return to Fieurcoast without you. I have a duty however, like you, or I would not return." his eyes were said Aislinn noted as she spoke. She finished running the towel through her hair before she spoke.
"I accept you apology, but only for your words.. not your actions. You do not have any right to make choices for Treena, you are not her father." she watched the word 'father' sting Cearúil. "Treena should and has every right to swear to the virginal path. If you wish to marry her off I hope she does. I don't understand why you are being so childish.." she huffed and turned to watch out the window. It the sun was starting to set and Treena really had slept all day. Cearúil pushed against her back and wrapped his arms around her.
"You are right, so is my sister. I was childish and selfish..." He laid his chin on her bare shoulder were the gown had slipped off. They stood there for a long time watching the sun go behind the mountains. His hot breath in her ear sent shivers down her spin. The room now lay dark with only the light from the fire place. The orange glow danced on their faces. Cearúil slowly moved to kiss her shoulder, then her neck. After she turned her around he pulled her into a deep heavy kiss. His hands were tight around hers she felt as though they may snap. It was her that pulled away from the kiss. He moaned an argument.
"Cearúil, my maids...."
"Are gone." he whispered in a smile and lead her to stand beside the bed. Pulling her into a deep kiss again he lead into her, only to have her pull away again.
"I... are we ready for this?" Cearúil stared at her for a moment. He knew what she was really asking but his head spun. All he wanted was to touch her, he knew deep down she was all he wanted. The only one even if it meant to be a queen-less king. His breath was soft and warm on her face.
"I want you to swear to me. You are mine and only mine." she stared at her eyes before kissing her again before pulling her into the bed.
Later that night, as the fire was starting to die down, Cearúil lay awake and stared at Aislinn's sleeping form. The cool blue light coming from the window was the only light on her. He ran his fingers along the curves of her body and wondered now if he would ever have an heir to his crown. It didn't matter anymore though. He only wanted Aislinn and they now swore themselves to each other.
"Don't leave me Aislinn, don't ever leave me.." she breathed before leaning over to kiss her. She awoke with a sigh and reached for him. He pulled her close before rolling onto his back. She lay with her head on his bare chest. Her eyes glittered in the cool moonlight as she stared at him. His fingers ran over her back. With a moan she buried her face in his chest and drifted back to sleep.

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Treena sat in her chair gazing into the fading light. She had pulled on a heavy robe for the chilling night over the thin white night dress she was wearing. There had been no point in dressing since it was already night. She had finished the food the maids had given her and was only waiting for the bath for herself. The maids were bringing in steaming buckets of water to fill the wooden tub. Finally it was full and she stripped, stepping into the water. Goosebumps rose along her skin as she slid her body into the warm water. She had been cleaned well by the maids earlier when she couldn't remember it, but now she wanted to make sure all of it was gone from her.
"Princess Treena." A maid called as she stuck her head into the room. "Sir Finley wanted you to know that he is back from his mission and he will be taking up the guard duty on you again. He wishes to know if he can come in and tell you himself but I told him you were bathing."
"Alright, if he still wants to tell me when I am done tell him he can come in." She answered. The maid nodded and disappeared from the room. She debated on whether she should finish quickly or not but in the end the warm bath won and she let herself soak in it a little longer than normal. When she was finished she got out, dried off and redressed herself in the night dress and fur lined robe. Tying the silver chord of the navy robe she carefully brushed out her hair and pulled it into a long plait down her back; her hair was growing longer. Finally she let the maids in to take the bath out and when they were finished Finley entered the room.
"Princess Treena..." He said with a smile as he went to one knee.
"You do not have to be so formal with me." Treena answered as she smiled back.
Finley smiled more and stood up, closing the distance between them and putting a soft hand on her face. He wasn't dressed in his usual armor and she realized it was one of the few times she had ever seen him in a tunic and slacks. She smiled and touched the hand on her face. "I am sorry I was not here to come find you... I heard from the other knights that you were attacked by a dragon out in the forest and it was Aislinn and Cearúil that found you. I was also told that you were the one that killed the dragon."
Treena blushed. "Yes, I was the one that ended its life. It was a sad thing, taking life is not what I am suppose to do. But your training saved my life and for that I am grateful. Without your help I do not think I would have survived. So actually you did save me, even if you were not there in person for the saving." She moved in against him, laying her head against his chest softly, her arms circling his waist. He smiled and held her close, laying his cheek on her head.
"This may not be the best idea..." He murmured into her hair as he went to move back but the look on her face made him stop.
She was afraid and had not let anyone see that look on her. Being lost and killing the dragon had taken its toll on her. "I was so afraid... I didn't think I would ever be returning to see you... Please... Don't go... No one will know you were in here for so long. I'm sure my brother is off somewhere pouting after I told him he was childish and Aislinn would possibly be studying or even asleep by now... So please..."
Finley sighed. "You are not being a good princess..." He said as he leaned down and brushed his lips against hers gently.
"I am being a woman in love after the fear of never seeing the man she loves again..." She answered back as she kissed him.
Finley sighed as he looked down at Treena's sleeping form. It was well past dark and no one would notice that he had stayed in here. He had been good, he did not give in to the temptation and desire as he wanted. She would stay a virgin so that, if she chose to, she could follow the virginal path. So she laid curled against him, still dressed in the night dress and he still in his tunic and slack. He kissed her head gently and sighed again. "I wish you did not love me so..." He murmured silently. "You would have been happier if you did not love a knight... And though I love that you love me of all people, I wish you could be truly happy and not have to hide anything..." He pushed his shoulder length hair from his face as it had fallen out of the tight ponytail he had once had it in. Treena cuddle closer, making a small protesting noise. "I love you Princess Treena... I love you with all that I am..." He whispered to her still sleeping form.
"Princess Treena." A maid called as she stuck her head into the room. "Sir Finley wanted you to know that he is back from his mission and he will be taking up the guard duty on you again. He wishes to know if he can come in and tell you himself but I told him you were bathing."

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
2 months before The princess's 18th birthdays, Aislinn sat side saddle on her steed watching over the kingdom below. She shouldn't be at Val Point today. The farewell ceremony for the Quinn family had started since the night before. She watched the 6 boats docked in port, people flowed in and out of them gathering and placing the belongings they had from the past 4 years. Not many survivors from Fieurcoast were left here, but there were enough. 2 guard boats circled a few miles off port waiting for the royal ship to set sail at noon. Aislinn's eyes moved to the large fire in the center of the city. It had been lite last night in the good luck and good journey festivities. She herself had been the one who had been honored to light it, followed by those who would be leaving for Fieurcoast casting a stick in the fire as a tradition so cast their worries away in hopes for safe sailing.
The Sun was almost center in the sky and Aislinn turned Truthful to start home. She had dread for this day for so many years now. Not only was her good friend leaveing today but her love, the man she swore herself too, was returning to the kingdom he left as a child. Since their arrival she knew he had a duty to return as king after his father had been killed. The feeling was different now she loved both Treena and Cearúil deeply. For them to leave now tore her apart. But she wouldn't cry today, last night she had cried herself to sleep, same as every night for the past 2 months. She was awaken a few hours later by Cearúil who thought they should give their goodbyes then so not to make a scene today.
She rode silently as Truthful trotted to whole way back to the castle. The white dress she wore today was simple. Flowing long sleeves that were just shy of the ground. It sat on the edge of her shoulders, neck went into a deep V with teal lace that if it were not there, the neck would be inappropriate. An indigo beaded belting wrapped around her waist. The dress had made specifically with indigo and teal accent for today in honor of Fieurcoast.
"There you are, Milady!" Marwyn called bringing his horse in front of her and Truthful. "We have been waiting for you, its almost noon."
"Which is why I have returned."
"Aye, come then" Marwyn turned and started towards the front of the castle where Aislinn could see her parents and company waiting.
"Aislinn" Queen Avae rode over to her.
"We are ready!" the king called. With that the precession started and they made their way through the city to port. Aislinn turned to glance at the Quinn's behind her own family. Her heart ached to see Cearúil. He would be crowned King when they returned to Fieurcoast. She could have been leaving with him.. she shook her head and looked back in front of her, smiling to the Summerdell citizens who gathered in the streets to bid farewell. After a few words the guards lead Cearúil and his mother onto the boat. Princess Treena atop her steed Dawn, and her now granted personal guard Finley followed them.
The precession turned and started back to the castle as the ships started out of port. Aislinn had went straight to her quarters after they had returned. She seated herself beside the window and watched the boats sail thought the great sea. She hoped Treena was happy with the decision Cearúil had made. If it wasn't for her, he probably would not have returned. Aislinn had to talk him into leaving only weeks after he had asked her to return and she said no. He had broken down and said he would not return. She frowned at the memory, he had so much stress on him she only hoped he would do alright without her. Hell she hoped she would do ok without him....

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Treena gazed out her window and sighed as she fluffed out the skirts of her dress. It was long navy blue belted in gold and orange for Summerdell. She sighed as she readjusted her crown. She struggled with wanting to return home and the want to not return home. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath before she turned and went to the door. It was closing in on the time they would be leaving the castle and taking a ship back home. Soon her studies would increase so that she could really be a High Cleric and not one in name. The only real reason she was a High Cleric was because she was the only training cleric for Fieurcoast. In truth she did not deserve the title but she knew she would earn that title by studying even more.
"Princess Treena..." Finley's voice came from the door.
She smiled and turned to the door. "Enter."
Finley opened the door and smiled. He was dressed in new armor with the Fieurcoast crest stamped into it. He was now dressed into the Fieurcoast colors under the armor with the markings of a high ranking officer. He bowed to her and held out his hand. "It's time Princess. We will be leaving to Fieurcoast."
She smiled and placed her hand on his arm. "Are you sure you want to come with us...? You will be leaving your home and everyone you know and love..."
"The one I love is staring up at me..." He smiled and touched her cheek before walking her out of the room and out to her horse. "I have already accepted the offer to come with you and your family." He looked at her for a long moment before placing her up on the horse as the maids straightened out her dress and cloak behind her on the horse. "I will be captain of the guards, you need as many knights as you can get. There aren't many people of Fieurcoast left and you know this." He paused to mount Quickstep and smiled. "I will be happy as long as I can protect you."
Treena blushed and clicked at Dawn, letting the horse lead her out and through the streets of Summerdell. They headed in silence to the boat as she looked at Aislinn. She was going to miss her friend but returning home was the best for everyone. Even her brother had finally decided to return to be King. It hurt her heart that he would be leaving someone he loved behind but she knew that for now it was what was best. When she returned to her home then she would start to find a way for everyone to be happy. She smiled at Finley as he gazed at her. She knew that there had to be a way for everyone to be happy. As they got onto the boat that would soon take them home she set it firmly in her mind to find a way for everything.

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
She sat with her chin on the cold stone seel of the window. The last of the boots had left and the royal boat had disappeared into the fog hours ago. "He'll make a great king..."
"He will my daughter, he will.." a hand clapped onto Aislinn's shoulder, she turned to look at her father's own sad face. "As you will make a great Queen someday." He smiled and looked back out the window. She had not heard him enter or even approach behind her. It was odd but she was happy he was here. If anyone could make her smile right now, it would be the King. She knew he too was saddened by the leave of Cearúil. They had a bond, like father and son, that Aislinn could not hold too. Ivae had never tried to take the place in Cearúil's heart that the fallen King Roarke had. He simple took him under his wing but Cearúil was really the one who took Ivae in. Aislinn's heart panged at the sadness her father really had to have been feeling and the grief of her not being a son.
"Come." Ivan had looked back at her, "I have someone for you to meet."
"Who?" she asked standing. She really could not think of anyone who was at the castle that she didn't know.
"Prince Remar of Silverbourne."
"Oh?" Aislinn was puzzled as to why the prince was here. She knew his father, Anasterian, well. He was Rajah Keryth's most beloved noble and Baron of Silverbourne. Keryth made Silverbourne a capital Elven city shortly before his death. In that Anasterian became King Anasterian.
"Yes, He has been studying in Violetvald and has come to accompany you there in a few months. I asked him to come stay here till then." She nodded as her father spoke but didn't like the sounds of this. As they turned into the dinning hall Aislinn's eyes caught the Prince's. He was the only elf there so he stood out enough. She greeted her mother before her father lead her to Remar. "Prince Remar, my beloved daughter Princess Aislinn." Remar's featured were sharp like his father's. His glowing blue eyes were piercing like that of all high elves, but his dark hair was what threw her off. Most of the high elves had light hair like that of gold or fire. She knew, of course, of some through the elven history. Going from that he had to have been a decedent of one of them since there were so few. She had never meet Anasterian's wife, the queen, but Anasterian's hair was golden so she must be the one with the dark hair.
"Princess.." the prince bowed and smiled and Ivan moved away from them "You are more beautiful as your father has made you out to be. He has asked me to come stay so we may get acquainted before out journey too Violetvald. The best rangers from my city will be sent to accompany us also."
"It is a pleasure Prince Remar." she smiled and bowed back before they made their way to be seated for dinner. Remar followed Aislinn and joined her in the library after dinner. They talked about magic and other things they shared interests in. Aislinn liked the young prince but she felt as though her father was trying to find a king for her. The Prince was the youngest of 3 and there were others that could have accompanied her to the magi city. She hoped that it was not her fathers intentions.

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Treena stepped off the boat as it finally docked in Fieurcoast harbor. It had only been four years since she left home thinking she would never return but as she stepped off the wooden bridge and onto the cobblestone streets it felt like it had been a lifetime. Not all of the city had been restored and the burned out buildings were like still open wounds in the body of the city, a bleak reminder of what awaited them if they were caught unprepared like last time. She took a deep breath and caught the fresh sent of fish. Someone was already bringing in a fresh catch for the market and possibly to sell to other cities. Soon the smell of fresh leaves and earth would join the tang of fish when the silk worms were brought back in. She watched as the people that were already in the city began to notice her presence, she wondered if any of them would recognize her. She had only been thirteen when they fled the city and now she was taller, fuller, than she was the last she was here, but her hair was still silvery blond and her eyes were still the same lavender color. Her mind wandered back to when she was very young, her mother had been accused of infidelity because Treena had an extremely light color blond and eyes that weren't completely natural; purple. She looked more like a child that came from an elf and human and not of King Roarke and Queen Bridgette. The allegations were proven false when pictures of some relative Treena didn't know surfaced and the same color eyes and hair were found, but it wasn't something easily forgotten.
She walked the city streets, taking the long path back home trying to see the damage and what had been rebuilt; the damage was still significant even after all the work that had been put into rebuilding. The only things that were completely rebuilt were the wall fortifications and most of the castle. One wing was still completely demolished and did not look salvageable, it would most likely be torn down and built from the ground up. Many of the houses were still damaged but were livable so many families were already using them. A hand touched her shoulder causing her to jump and step out of reach before she really thought about it; it was Finley.
"Queen Bridgette and Prince Cearúil have gone to the castle. They said that dinner will be ready for you when you return and to not wander off next time without an escort." He said as he let his hand fall back and rest on the hilt of his sword.
Treena sighed as she turned around continued walking through the streets. "My mother and brother worry far too much..." She looked over at Finley who had fall into step behind her. "Welcome to Fieurcoast..." She murmured. "I bet you did not expect to see this much devastation to a city that was suppose to be rebuilt. It is sad that many of the citizens of Fieurcoast have to live in such poor conditions while the castle is rebuilt. The town should have been rebuilt first so that the people would be able to live in healthier conditions; this is not right."
"And where would you and your family stay if the castle was not rebuilt?" Finley asked as he looked around at the city before him. "Where would you stay and protect the people if there was no place to live? You cannot expect that your family would be willing to live in poor conditions just so the citizens can have their homes rebuilt first."
Treena glared at Finley, he was right but she hated it. She turned silently and continued her walk through the city in utter silence. She made her way back into the castle and found dinner for herself. She ate in silence, she had no words for Finley until she knew she would not be petty and mean. She walked the familiar halls and found her old room. The heavy door was singed and blackened but still moved easily as if it were new and unharmed. Another guard that was standing by her room said that they could find one to replace it with but she told them no, the burnt wood put her mind at ease for some unknown reason. There was a bath filled with warm water waiting for her when she entered the room. She sighed, shook her head, but bathed without complaint. She dressed and once the maids had carted away the tub and water she looked around the room, her fingers grazing the walls until she found the small chink that signified the hidden room. It took more force that usual to push open the stone door, but she got it opened. A look back to her room door and then she knelt and walked into the small room
"It's safe..." She murmured as she looked at all the dusty items around the room. All the valuables had been hidden away in here by her when the attack at the walls began. Everything they held dear and everything that was needed for the ruling of the city was still inside her room. The magi and cleric scrolls gifted to her father by the elves of the land, family heirlooms from generations passed, trinkets she had received as a young girl from family and visitors, even her mother's wedding dress was safe inside the small room. She smiled to herself and stepped out of the room after she gave the door a push; it would close on it's own. She made note to tell her brother and mother of the stuff she had hidden away in the morning, but now she crawled into bed and cuddled into the soft pillows. She was fast asleep as soon as she closed her eyes.

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
She stepped though the dark bog as quietly as she could. The mud around her boots making a suction noise made it hard to be stealthy in the swamp. Even though she wasn't here to sneak up on anything, she would have liked it to be a little quieter. Sighing she moved around a tree and pulled herself onto a small area of hard land. She sat for a moment and started to feel the strain on her legs. Moving through the mud made them 4 times heavier. She stood again and turned to watch the few troops that had can with her making their way towards her.
A large flash of white light make everyone stop. Temporarily blinded they looked around, no sound. As their eye sight began to return a few seconds later they saw nothing the bog looked like it did before. All of them had their swords drawn though and all were looking right ahead. The silence made this journey even creepier. Even her second in command moving to her didn't make one sound. His mouth moved but nothing came out. Another flash, only this one dark, flew across her head. The tree she was behind shattered into a thousand splinters breaking the silence..
A hand grabbed her shoulder and shook her. There was yelling and ciaos none making any since.
Aislinn's eye flew open and she was starring at the desk she had fallen asleep on the night before. Her body tingled and pricked with magic. Her head turned and the face of Alus made her jump and squeal.
"By the light Alus! Please make yourself known before scaring the life out of me!"
The elf bowed and held out his hand to her. "I am sorry princess, but I did. I woke you, nightmares again?" She stood using Alus's hand to pull herself up. She ran her figures through her hair in an effort to control what was already perfect. She nodded and walked to the window. A week after the royal family left for Fieurcoast, Aislinn had talked her father into letting her take a few troops and figure out what was happening with the dragons. She had asked Alus to join her since he was the most powerful mage in the city then. They had came to a dead end, or so the other troops thought. Aislinn and Alus could feel the magic that protected the area. In and effort to figure it out she had tried to search through the wall to find the source. In her mind she had pushed through the wall and was over come with blackness. When she had opened her eyes she heard yells and cries as her troops tried to fight black tentacle that seems to grow from the ground. Their weapons turned to dust as they swung at it. In a mad effort Alus cast a spell at it, with a loud pop and extremely bright light, they found the 'thing' gone. No one has been hurt, but both Aislinn and Alus were drained. They rested a bit, eating a bit of the jerk and hard bread that they both had packed even though this was not an over night mission, and then started on their way back to the horsed that waited for them outside of the bog. Finally after a few stops for Alus they made it and rode back without another incident. However Aislinn's body felt weird, almost tainted.
The day after Alus explained to her that is was because she felt dark magic for the first time and it would wear off eventually. Alus was weak for a few days but Aislinn knew it was from the spell he had cast. It was something that she had never heard of and when she asked about it he told her is was old and powerful magic, something that she would never be able to learn in her time. Which was probably true, Alus was 300 years older then her and she would probably only live to be 60 at most. Less Alus said if she tired anything like that again. Now a month later she still felt the dark magic on her and though it was less then when it first touched her, she hated it.
"It will fade Aislinn, its your first encounter though I wish I could do something. It just has to fade away.." he called from across the room. He fixed some tea and sat it next to the food he must have had the maids get before she woke up. "Milady, please sit and eat. We have a lot to finish before you leave next week."
She had totally forgotten that she would be leaving for Fieurcoast next week. She look towards the port to see the ships already being prepared for the trip. Hate suddenly panged her at the though of Prince Remar accompanying her. The Prince barley left her side in her own home, she wondered if she would get any time to speak with Cearúil. Another pang, this time sadness, washed over her. Cearúil.. she had barley thought of him, purpose pushing him into the back of her head. She had mopped through the halls since they left, unknowing of it at first, but she wondered if Cearúil was doing the same. She shook her head, probably not. He was King now he had to be 'happy'. Aislinn turned and made her way to the seat beside Alus. She eat her fill and they made their way to the gardens to practice...

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Treena cried out in pain again as she panted. Sweat stung the open wounds on her body as she struggled to stay standing. The pain was abrupt and stabbing, it washed through her mind faster than she could push it away. She clenched her hands into a fist, she would over come this. She had to.
"Focus Treena. You can't heal if you can't think. You must understand the pain, feel the pain, even embrace the pain before you can remove the pain. You won't get another chance if you are in the field. You must be able to separate yourself from the pain now or all of this was in vain." The High Priestess said as she tsked Treena in disdain.
"I know..." Treena said through gritted teeth. She had been training for days to get herself to detached from the pain of physical wounds. All High Clerics had to understand pain and know how to detach from their feelings. They had to be able to heal themselves of they would be useless in healing others. She wasn't any closer now than she was days ago. She was pushed to the limit and she couldn't get past it. "Enough!" She cried as she fell to her knees.
The High Priestess sighed as she healed the wounds. "If you cannot master this you are not fit to be cleric. I was too hasty to give you the robes."
Treena hung her head, the High Priestess was right. If she couldn't master this then she was a useless healer. She pushed to her feet and closed her eyes, centering herself. She opened them slowly, letting out a breath as she did. "Again..." She muttered.
Treena stumbled through the halls of her home as she made her way back to her room. She was completely drained, but she had finally mastered the pain. Her mind wandered through the training she had already done and how much more would be left. Soon she would have to be taken out into the forest and learn the herbs in their natural state. It wasn't hard, she had already begun to learn what they were all she needed to really learn was how to find them and the ways to prepare them as treatments and not poisons. She was told that many healers could easily become dark healers just by the use of many herbs. She would even turn her healing powers into something dark; it made her shiver when she thought about the dark healers. She sighed as she sat down and pulled out several books. In her spare time of training she had been researching, hoping to find a clue as to whether or not Finley may have some royal blood. If she could find it and trace it then there was a chance he could be a king, her king. Then everything could be alright, She could rule Fieurcoast with Finley and Cearúil could go back to Summerdell with Aislinn.
Aislinn... Thinking of the future queen and magi made her turn and look out the window. She would be visiting soon with some Prince that she couldn't stand. She had been vague about the man in question but she was clear that she didn't like him at all. She couldn't wait to see her friend again but she worried about the Prince that was coming with her. Would he give the girls time alone? Would he even give Aislinn time with Cearúil? If the girls had time alone she was certain she could get Aislinn some time alone with Cearúil. Treena knew this castle better than anyone, many of the hidden passageways had been left undamaged and Treena knew them all, she could get Aislinn and Cearúil their time together. It just wouldn't be easy.
Sighing she flipped through her books studying healing and family lines at the same time was draining, but she had to do whatever she could to make things right.

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Aislinn sat straight up in her bed, she shivered even though she was covered in sweat. She looked around the room there was no one there but she could have swore someone was looking over her, their heavy hot breath still hung on her. A loud knock on the door made her jump.
"Come in"
"Your Highness, are you alright? We were bringing your bath when we heard you scream." the maid said peeking in the room. She had screamed? But she didn't hear a thing, maybe perhaps while she was asleep?
"Just a bad dream..." the maid nodded and pushed pen the door for the others to bring in the bath.
"You shouldn't worry so much, Milady. From what the prince has said Violetvald is wonderful." Aislinn wrinkled her nose at the thought of the prince. A small chuckle grew in her as she realized the maid thought she was worried about going to the Magi city. The maid must have taken her face the wrong way, for she straightened and shuddered a moment. "I am sorry, Milady. That was not my place."
"Its alright, thats wasn't it." This maid was young and new. She didn't know Aislinn like the other maids did. She nodded to them as they left her alone again. She sat watching the steam off the water before she moved from her bed. She slipped out of her night gown and slipped into the hot water. She bathed quickly knowing the maids would be back soon to help her dress. It was still early but today she was leaving for Fieurcoast. Excitement jumped through her veins. No sooner then she had dried off a knock on the door let her know the maids had returned. They helped her pull the orange/gold under skirt over herself. Then the grown its self blacked the room as they helped pull it over her head. As a maid clipped a necklace around her neck and 2 others fussed with her sleeves, Aislinn looked herself in the mirror and smiled. The Ceremony Gown was the royal red and orange of the kingdom. Long red sleeves fit tight on her arms as a maid tied a gold leather wrap around her wrist and for arm. When she was down Aislinn looked again as that little touch made the gown come together more. A golden band of embroidery wrapped low around the top of her chest and mid way down her arms. Flowing cape like sleeves parted from the actual sleeves and flowed almost to the ground. The front of the bodice was embroidered with golden beads and tread making a very eye catching design and ended right belove her breast with another another golden band of embroidery. The red fabric flowed to about her knees were the orange underskirt started. At the very bottom was another band like the 2 above. The necklace was a family emblem with a small red gem hanging from the bottom. 2 red leather bands tied around her neck to keep it in place.
The maids brushed through her hairs since she had washed it the night before and left it dry during this mornings bath. It curled in its natural way and they placed her swirled golden crown on top. Today she felt beautiful, her brown eyes seemed brighter then normal and she seemed to glow. 'Like a princess should..' She thought to herself before turning around to face the maids. Her face fell as she saw Prince Remar standing in the door. He must have just slipped in a moment ago.
"Princess Aislinn you look stunning. Shall we go?" he held out his arm for her. She hesitated then nodded.
"All my scrolls and books I wish to bring along are in that bag." she pointed to the desk before taking Remar's arm and he lead her down the hall.
"You really don't need those Princess."
"I know, but they are not all magi scrolls. Some our others that remind me of here." her clothes and things had already been gathered in her chests and taken the night before. She figured they were probably taken to the ship this morning. Her bag she wanted with her...
She rode between her parents who rode so proud today. Aislinn had to make happy, she really didn't want to be going with the Prince. But they would be in Fieurcoast before night fall and that made her even more excited. Remar made her sick and annoyed her to where she thought she would burst at most. She saw no reason for him to be there since Alus was staying with her. Her old trainer rode behind her.
Once on the boat after saying farewell to her parents, she slid off Truthful with the help of Marwyn. Marwyn was now her personal guard and would be the only human allowed in the magi city. Besides Aislinn herself of course. This was a first for her kind and the elves. Aislinn would be the first human magi to train with the elders. Any other human magi you came across normally trained themselves and would end up killing themselves before they reached Aislinn's training. She was truly the first Human Magi and she had Rajah Keryth and Alus to thank for that. She grabbed her bag from the saddle as Marwyn lead Truthful below to where the horses were being kept. Walking with Alus she went to her cabin on the ship. To were planning to study till they reached Fieurcoast.
"Sir Alus, I believe the princess is ready enough. I don't think she needs to train on this trip." Alus turned to Aislinn
"I want to, thank you Prince Remar." Marwyn stepped around the prince an took Aislinn's other side.
"Well then, I must ask you to spend the trip with me. On deck, this is your first boat ride after all. I don't want you to miss anything."
Aislinn sighed and nodded. Auls had pushed against her back telling her to just agree. She knew in the back of her head if she didn't, Remar would have Alus punished. "Very well.." Remar took her hand and led her back up the stairs.
"Finally!" Aislinn's heart did a flip. Fieurcoast was in the distance, only another hour before they arrived. Remar snorted beside her, apparently he was not as excited. The city was still being rebuild you could tell but the new life around it made it beautiful. From Summerdell, Fieurcoast was just a small black city in the distance. Now Aislinn's was finally seeing the city in its rising glory.
Marwyn brought his horse along with Truthful and Alus's steed, from below when they were just about to dock. They mounted as the boat closed into the port. She smiled at all the Fieurcoast citizens her eyes meet the guards who were there to escort them back to the castle. She smiled at her friend who was mounted in the center of them. Treena was there but Aislinn could not find Cearúil, she heart sank a little but she knew he was just a new King and was probably very busy. She smiled and nodded to Treena as the workers lifted the walk way. They rode down to meet Treena
"Hello my friend." She smiled and shifted a little in her saddle. She hated riding side saddle.. Behind her a grunt came, Prince Remar rode between her and Alus. Aislinn rolled her eyes slightly and introduced the prince.
"Princess Treena, this is Prince Remar of Silverbourne"
"My Pleasure, Princess" she bowed his head to Treena
"Come in"

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Treena watched as Aislinn and the man she could only assume was the Prince that had no name from Aislinn's letters to her. She had a bitter taste in her mouth as she watched the Eleven Prince look disdainfully at her city. She hadn't liked him from Aislinn's letters but seeing him act as if her city was far beneath him made her sick to his stomach. There was no way that he would be getting away with that. Dawn shook her head and huffed as her hoof pawed the ground, she was feeling Treena's dislike for the man and it made her anxious. She smiled at her friend, a warm bright smile. She enjoyed seeing Aislinn dressed in full gowns of her kingdom; it made her all the more stunning. She too was dressed in formal wear though it was hard to see with her Cleric's robes covering them. She had a heavy silver underskirt on with a rich indigo and teal over dress. Silver stitching ran all through the dress in small intricate patterns that were discernible unless closely looked at. Navy lace framed her shoulders and breasts, also sparkling with silver threads. The dress was tied corset style down the front with silver threads while her sleeves were tied to her arm in matching threads; navy lace crested her hands where the sleeves ended. She wore a heavy silver chain belt with the Fieurcoast crest on in with a matching silver leaf crown, but everything was covered by her white robes and it's indigo and silver silk panel.
"Aislinn my dear friend, it's been too long." She murmured as her friend came closer. She smiled a tight, unhappy smile when introduced to Prince Remar.
"Prince Remar of Silverbourne I am Princess Treena High Cleric of Fieurcoast. Welcome to my city." She bowed her head then addressed both of them in the same formal tone. "King Cearúil was unable to be here due to the rebuilding of our city, he and Lady Bridgette send their regards and will properly introduce themselves to you Prince Remar when we have reached the castle and are ready for the festivities of the evening." She turned to the guards that came with her. "Please see to it that Prince Remar and Princess Aislinn's things make it to their rooms, I will personally escort them to the castle." She stared coldly at Remar, he wasn't going to get away with thinking badly of her home; not ever. She clicked at Dawn and the horse turned back to the castle and headed home.
They dismounted, leaving the horses to the stall boys as they ascended the stairs to the castle Treena wrapped Aislinn's arm around her's resting the girl's hand on top of her own before Remar had a chance to try and escort Aislinn up himself. She bowed her head in close to her friend and whispered under her breath. "I can see why you disliked him so much. I wish I could make his stay here completely unpleasant but I am sure that would not make things easy for you at home." She smiled at her friend. "I will arrange time alone for you and my brother after the evening dinner. Don't worry, your little elf prince won't find out at all. This is my home, I know all the secrets here." She smiled at her friend, it was the least she could do for the girl. "Maybe tomorrow I will show you around the city and country side. I do wish you could have seen Fieurcoast before the attack, it was magnificent. But I think you will find most of it still breath taking."
She led her friend, Prince Remar and Alus to their rooms and told them she would be back to lead them to the dinning hall for dinner. The dinner rushed by her before she knew it, and the festivities took up most of the evening. She was lucky to pull her brother aside long enough to explain her plan and where he needed to be before Remar began to scowl at them. She smiled at him, her eyes cold as she did it. He would not intimidate her, not in her own home. Before the festivities were out she stole her friend away in the pretense of showing her more of the castle and led her though a small tunnel to the room she had asked her brother to be in. She left them there with the promise that Aislinn would not do anything rash that may get her in trouble with the annoying elf prince or her teacher, then made sure Aislinn knew the way back and was gone.
'I wish I could do more...' She thought to herself as she walked the halls to her room. 'If only I could find a way to make things right...'

Re: Aekkylinie: The Second War
Aislinn was rushed around by Treena all night until the princess left her alone in the room. Her mouth was pulling into a small white line nearly the whole time with unhappiness of Prince Remar's presence. She looked around the small room, it must have been a hideaway room for the castle just like the ones she knew back home. It was lit with a few torches on the wall, a descent bed and 2 chairs were in the room. A hand wrapped around hers and she spun around to face the owner.
"Cearúil.." she sighed. He pulled her into a hug and kissed her forehead
"My beloved, Aislinn." she felt him smile against her head. They broke apart and he motioned her to sit in one of the chairs. "So who is this prince that is with you?"
"Jealous are you?" she smirked, he raised an eyebrow. "Prince Remar of Silverbourne. My father asked him to escort me to Violetvald" she clasped her hands together and sat them on her lap.
"I don't like him."
"Your not the only one. He follows me like a lost dog, even in my own home I was not left alone. He acts as if I am his property..." she sighed and looked toward the ground.
"But your not." His words sounded like a question and she glanced back at him hurt. His face told her other wise and she smiled. "I.. I wish there was a way for us to be together." she reached out and took his hand
"As do I.."
They talked for awhile then figured they should get back before they absence was noted by all. Cearúil lead her out a different way then Treena had taken her. They emerged in a garden and followed the sound to the festivities that were starting to come to an end now. Another hand grabbed Aislinn's arm, her head spun to see who it was. Prince Remar stared with cold eyes at her and the King.
"We must leave now." a messenger stood behind the prince. Cearúil pulled Remar's hand off of Aislinn's arm.
"You are?"
"I a.."
"King Cearúil, this is Prince Remar of Silverbourne, my escort to Violetvald"
"Oh, King Cearúil!" The prince spat "I am sorry to leave your lovely city so soon but word has co.."
"What did the message say."
"It said the.."
"Not you prince, I was asking the messenger." the man looks utterly confused between the prince and king.
"It is my message, it is none of your concern."
"It is in my kingdom Prince Remar." Cearúil looked at the prince with a cold glance. His word bit like ice.. "No what was the message." The messenger looked at Remar, the prince nodded.
"High Magna Revanthas, request that Prince Remar return to Violetvald before night fall tomorrow."
"I believe no where in there did it ask for Aislinn to join you. Now you may leave, I will send my best knights with the Princess at the end of the week like that was previously planned. Pleasure to meet you Prince Remar." Cearúil took Aislinn's arm again and they walked into the castle together.
