SugaredKittie and RageDoomsday's Twin Character Development
Iagan and Aileas Graeme were a Scottish couple who after 4 years of a happy marriage were blessed with twins, Muirenn and Neala Graeme. But their happiness was cut short when Iagan had found out people were after him and his wife for their powers. Aileas could control the elements; wind, water, fire, and earth; for different purposes. This power was in her family but Iagan's family were Sorcerer's. Knowing the people could have no idea about their daughters, but also knowing their daughters had to have powers like their own, they split the girls up and gave them different names. Iagan sent Muirenn (Eve) to an adoption home in Kentucky while Neala (Zoe) was taken to a home in the lower part of New York. After knowing their daughters were safe the couple fled the state in hopes to pull the people who pursued them away from their girls. Finally in northern Idaho the people caught up with the couple and took them back to their base. But the twins have been connected mentally since birth and it would not be long before they would be together again.
Re: SugaredKittie and RageDoomsday's Twin Character Development
Eve pulled on her boots and grabbed her bag as she shot out her bed room door. She tore down the stairs of the house and into the kitchen where her father sat at the table and her mother stood by the stove.
"I thought you left dear?" she father said looking up from his paper.
"I am now." she made a face "I need to go or I am going to be late! Love ya!" she grabbed a danish off the counter, waved and was out through the door. While racing down the stairs at the front of the house she swung her bag over her shoulder and waved her arm out for a taxi. Grabbing a bite of the warm cheese danish she watched as a bright yellow taxi pull up against the curb. She opened the door and slid in
"Corner of Tenth Avenue and 207th Street, please" smiling at the driver she took another bite of the danish. The driver didn't talk to her during the drive and she preferred it that way. Most drivers that talked to her, more like hit on her, told her how cute she was. She was cute but she didn't need to hear it from every slimy guy who drove a taxi in New York. Finishing the last few bites of her danish and stuffed the napkin into her coat pocket. It was early spring in New York and Eve could not be happier. She straighted out her blue pleated skirt and tighten her comfy foe fur scarf around her neck. Her red hair was pulled back in a nice French braid and fell over her shoulder. She fiddled with the buttons on her white coat while she sat watching the budding trees fly by.
Finally they pulled up to Corner of Tenth Avenue and 207th Street and she handed the driver her toll before climbing out of the smelly car. She stood, pulled her bag up onto her shoulder again and started walking up the street. She could see the large white building standing out among the other dark buildings around it. She loved this school, she loved New York, and she loved this weather. The cold started to nip at her legs even though she had tights on and she rubbed her palms on her thighs a little. Her boots 'clunked' along the sidewalk while the fur inside kept her feet nice and cozy. Finally she reached the outer wall of the school. Slowly she went over to the white stone wall and leaned against it waiting for her sister to arrive.
'I am inside already' Eve smiled. Her sister and her could talk to each other mentally over long distances. She turned and started toward the gate.
'On my way' she sent while pulling the main entrance door open. The school was build like a castle, the main entry way was full of students gathering before class started. On each side of the entry way was 2 separate hallways that lead to many class rooms. Across from where Eve stood were the huge dark cherry wooden doors that led to the grand library. On both sides of the door were rounded stair cases that lead up to the second floor. Most of the bigger rooms; dance halls, art studios, and music rooms; sat. The only time Zoe ever waited for her before coming in was when she was having trouble blocking visions and she always chose to dance. The dance halls were of course the only place open before class other then the library. Eve made her way down the great hall and entered the room.
"Having troubles again?" she looked up at her sister while she sat her bag in the ground and slit down the wall to sit beside it.

Re: SugaredKittie and RageDoomsday's Twin Character Development
Zoe stretched and yawned as her alarm went off sound that it was now 3am. She slid herself free of her warm blankets and shuffled over to the shower to warm up and wake up. after the long warm shower she sat in front of the mirror while she fluffed and dried her hair. She applied make up to her already flawless face, she hated the stuff but knew her parents both thought that it was extremely necessary so she always applied make up before leaving the house and coming back in; the in between was always up for grabs.
Twisting her hair into an intricate knot on the back of her head she pulled on her thick tights and leotard before putting on the short shorts and legwarmers she always wore for practice.
"Off to school?" Her father called as she bounded nearly silently down the stairs.
"Mm-hmm." She answered as she tossed a bagel into the toaster. "I have to practice for the performance. Are you or mother coming to see it?" She always asked though she knew the answer.
"I'm sorry Zo," her father started. "I completely forgot about the upcoming performance. I will be out of town on business. I'm sure your mother would love to attend and I'm sure she will be there."
Zoe nodded as she applied cream cheese to her toasted bagel. "It's okay dad, there are always other performances." The statement had become over stated, it would never change, he would never show up and her mother would be out partying somewhere and not show up. She took a bite from the bagel as she carefully added her school uniform to her tote, slid into the ballet slippers then added her extremely expensive knee-high leather boots and jacket to her outfit.
"Okay! I'm off!!" She called from the doorway.
"Don't let Vincent not take you this time, do you hear me?! It's dangerous out there!" Her father called back.
Zoe shook her head and sighed, the least she could do was take the ride from their driver, she had skipped twice this week and Vincent was her favorite person in the world, besides her twin of course.
"Vincent!!" She cried as she leaped into the older mans arms. "Looks like you're giving me a ride today."
Vincent laughed as he put the girl down and opened the passenger side door for her, he had learned finally that she refused to sit in the backseat unless it was with one of her parents. "Off to school early I see."
"Yep, I have to practice of course."
"That's our little over achiever!" He said as he closed the door for her.
The whole ride over to the School Zoe and Vincent discussed her next performance, of course Vincent was also the only one that ever attended any of the school functions she was in.
"Well, here we are Miss Zoe." He said as he leaned over her and popped the door open, she had beaten it into him to not get out of the car if he really wanted to open the door for her, she would just open it on her own if he tried. "Will I be picking you up after?"
Zoe slid out of the car and smiled at him. "I'll call ya when I'm done." She answered before she closed the door and basically danced up the front steps of her school.
Being there at 4am always gave her the choice of which dance room she wanted to practice in and after hunting down the janitor she opened her favorite one.
She sat down her stuff on one of the only chairs in the room, pulled out the ancient boom-box, stuck in her dance routine music and began practicing.
Several hours later, though Zoe had completely lost track of the time, she felt the familiar sensation that told her her twin was near.
I'm inside... she thought as she twisted her body into a brisé jump.
On my way... came the reply
Zoe smiled as she saw her sister's red head pop in. the look on Eve's face told Zoe that she knew the real reason for the early morning practice.
Zoe barely heard Eve's question as she switched into Demi-pointe and into chaînés déboulés.
"What makes you think that? Maybe I just came to practice for my performance to which you better bet your ass you're attending."

Re: SugaredKittie and RageDoomsday's Twin Character Development
She huffed and leaned her head back against the wall.
"Of course I am coming, why would I miss it? Unless of course you miss my Dressage again." she chuckled a little. That wound she always liked to poke a little when her sister mocked her. She knew though that her sister had missed the event because of problems with her visions but it was one of those sister things that no one would understand. No one really understood the sisters, no one knew they were sister, thankfully. Their parents had tried so hard to make sure they were not caught by the same people who captured them. The twins were only newborns when that happened, but with their powers, their connection, they remembered it all. Their real names were another secret that was kept from others. The danger of being caught was high but the girls didn't like to be separate for so long. They were more safe together anyway.
Eve moved and took a book from her bag.
"Class is in a half hour you know. You going to go change?" Opening the book she went back to the first topic.
"You only come in to 'practice' early if your visions are bothering you. We go to an art school and you can stay after or the school will let you out of normal class to practice, you know this." she looked up at her sister. Her face was covered with concern,
"What is wrong now? Need more sleeping herbs, or are they getting worse?" She cocked her head to the side. Her hand strayed to the tip of her hair and fiddled with it. Sparkling blue eyes stared at her sisters face in the mirror she was dancing in front of.
Like her sister, Eve had powers, but both sisters had special powers and could control an element. Eve was a healer she could heal anything from a tiny wound to someone close to death. Zoe was Clairvoyant, she had visions and lately they had been over powering her. Next to that the twins mother controlled the elements so naturally the girls have the ability to control one also. The girls barely used their powers, they never knew when and if someone was after them so they had to keep a low profile.

Re: SugaredKittie and RageDoomsday's Twin Character Development
Zoe flung her body effortlessly through a set of Fouetté jetés as her sister poked at the fact she had missed something she deemed extremely important, she stuck her tongue out she she spun around.
That was an accident, I'm still not good at controlling these things." She said without missing a beat in the routine, her voice never betrayed just how difficult some of the moves truly were.
She crouched down in one of the turns and pushed off hard with her right leg, the leg that had been supporting her, launching herself into the air, kicking her legs into a wide split before landing gingerly on her toes of her left foot, her right arching back behind her head.
"Yeah I'm gonna change." She said a little breathy from the move she had just pulled off, but it wasn't from the exsertion she just had but because the move always made her a little nervous to pull off then thrilled when she landed it.
She grabbed her back and went behind a partition in the room to change into her uniform. "I saw the people that took mom and dad..." She started, her voice becoming sullen. "They're going to find one of us..."

Re: SugaredKittie and RageDoomsday's Twin Character Development
Eve jumped up, the book on her lap fell to the floor with a loud 'thud'. She ran over to her sister and grabbed her on the shoulder.
"What!" she yelled. Hearing herself echo across the room she shook her sisters shoulder and her voice when to a whisper.
"When? How? Who, did you see who!? Their names or anything." It was a far stretch but Eve still believed her parents were still alive. More then anything she was afraid being separated from her sister. Her hands dropped to her sides and she turned, head hanging, with her back now to her sister.
"I did this. If I would not have came here they would not have found us..." she was walking, slowly, back to where her book laid sprawled on the floor. Crouching down she scooped up the book and placed it back into her bag.
"We have to leave..." she turned back to her sister. Her face was was serious but her eyes were begging. "We need to run, leave, get out of here. They can't find us if we keep moving Zo..."

Re: SugaredKittie and RageDoomsday's Twin Character Development
Zoe brushed past her sister as she fluffed out her uniform skirt.
"Stop freaking out." She snapped as she turned back to see her sister. "Get a hold of yourself. You know as well as I do that it wouldn't take them forever to find out about one of both of us. Even if we run they'll still hunt us and catch us just like they did with mom and dad. The best thing for us to do is to stay put. We both have people here we care about, we can't just up and leave."
Zoe turned back and headed towards the door. "We will stay here and prepare..." She pulled open the door and left.

Re: SugaredKittie and RageDoomsday's Twin Character Development
She grabbed her sister'd shoulder and pulled her back a little before she was completely out the door.
"You saw more didn't you? Its you they take and something worse happens." Eve pleaded with her sister.
"We can't just wait around Zo... Our parents risked themselves to save us and you know that." she said low as other students started to fill the halls.
"If it was me you would be the one wanting to run..." she hissed as her sister pulled away from her and fell in with the other students. Eve's mind was racing, she didn't know if her sister didn't know anymore or just was keeping it to herself. She let out a huff of air and bent down to get her bag. Right now she didn't want bothered so she closed the curtain in her mind, her sister could not get any sendings to her right now and she didn't want them. She threw her bag over her shoulder and went herself into the crowd. Eve didn't have many friends here, other then her sister there were 2 friends she ate lunch with and a few others she had class with. Finally she made her way down the stairs and into the back hallway towards her Literature class.
"EVE!" someone yelled behind her. She turned to see a girl with dark purple curly hair running toward her, it was her friend Azrael, a Korean exchange student. Azrael spoke English better then most Americans she went to school with and Eve loved her company. Eve waved and waited for the girl to get to her. She turned and they fell into step together.
"I looked for you in the library, I tried your cell phone but you didn't answer."
"Oh.." Eve reaching in the side pocket of her bag and pulled out her phone 'One Missed Call: Azzie, New Voice Message' A picture of the girl beside her was on the screen below the text. "Sorry its on vibrate I must have missed it..." her eyes gave an apology to the girl.
"Its ok, I do it all the time." she laughed and Eve smiled a little. "You seem down, whats up?"
"Nothing, just tired." she smirked as they walked through the door of class and slid into their seats.
Eve tried not to think about Zoe all through class. She was cleaning up after and sent a small message to her sister 'Sorry Zo, you know I worry to much.' She shoved her notebook and books into her bag while Azrael chattered about her weekend in New Jersey with her cousin. 'Lunch at Amando's today?' Amando's was a little Italian restaurant down the street that the girls loved. Since they were allowed off school grounds for an hour lunch, it was a typical spot for Zoe and Eve to eat. Azrael and Eve split up at the main entry way since Eve's next class was art on the 3rd floor. Her favorite class of the whole day. Unlike the typical classes that were around 45 minutes; Art, Music, and Dance classes were all an hour and a half. She grabbed her canvas that she had been working on for the past week and slowly made her way to her work station to work in peace.

Re: SugaredKittie and RageDoomsday's Twin Character Development
Zoe sat at her desk in the front of her home room class, one leg draped over the desk as she danced her routine with her fingers across her desk. She was saddened by the fact that Eve had gotten mad at her about the vision but she wasn't hiding anything, she had no idea who was the one that was caught. Part of her hoped it would be her because she couldn't bear it if it was her sister, but her heart broke at leaving Vincent and the Arts behind.
She sighed and tossed her head to one side shaking out her now crimped hair as she listened to her home room teacher drone on and on. Her mind wandered to her dance routine as she considered trying out different types of dancing then to her painting that she had been working on for several class sessions now, it was almost finished. She thought about her music recordings and wondered for a moment how the song was turning out. Before she knew it the class was over.
Sorry Zo... You know I worry too much. She heard Eve's voice trickle into her mind. Lunch at Amando's today?
She smiled to herself as she slipped her tote around her neck and basically danced out of the room. It was not something she tried to do, but she had heard from whispers that it always looked as if she danced when she walked. She made her way into her next class, it was music. She loved singing almost as much as dancing; in fact she just loved the arts, it was her way of expressing herself.
She sat there listening to the others in the class warming up and hummed to herself; if she was the one to go she would truly miss all of this...

Re: SugaredKittie and RageDoomsday's Twin Character Development
Eve frowned. Zoe didn't really know who was going to be taken. She cringed a little,
'Stop it, your letting your emotions and thoughts send again.' Sadly it was something they both did to each other when there are to much stress, worry or any other over powering emotion. 'And I was not prying.. I was trying to block you out but your giving me a head ache.' She sent before her sister could yell at her for 'snooping'. Even though they could talk mentally, they could not read each other minds. Only when one or the other was 'overflowing' could the others thoughts and emotions be picked up. It was a very annoying quirk that they still hadn't worked out how to stop. Eve rubbed her temples and went back to staring at her canvas.
She sighed, she just wanted to paint over it, again... She was good at basically everything she did. Or so others told her, she didn't think it about herself. She always picked the tiniest things out of everything she did. She was a perfectionist and it got annoying but she was so picky about everything. Holding her head on her hand she stared at the painting for a few minutes before she got up and went to pull her paints and other supplies out of her 'locker' on the other side of the room. She had painted over the canvas 3 times already last week and the only thing she had painted on it now was a sky with a few clouds. Really, she didn't know what she wanted to paint.
Instead of waisting time she pulled her sketch pad and pencils out of her bag. She doodled on a page for a bit, then started on a new page after the other was full. She drew many different things most of the time they were random. Her hand and mind just flowed into one half the time she didn't even know what it was till she was done. By the time she was pulling out her charcoals for this one she knew it was a girl. Just a random person she saw in her head. For the rest of the class she sat and working on shading the girls face and hair.

Zoe clamped her mind shut to her sister, keeping her from feeling the sound resolve she had come to as she sung in the sound boot.
'I won't let them take her...' She thought to herself as her heart led her voice. 'I'll keep them away from her...'
Part of her heart broke as she settled into her idea, but she stuff away the pieces in a box and closed the lid, there would be no turning back now. She let her voice sing the words of her pain as she slowly let go of everything, she would do what she had to and she knew that.
Finally coming to a conclusion seemed to clear everything up for her. Her visions no longer plagued her, she could focus on the tasks at hand. She knew she would live her life normally because there was no way to change the future. In her mind she let the images of the people she would regret leaving then released them, letting go of the pain as she let go of the restraints; it was the freest she ever felt with the restrictions of her gifts.
As she finally let go of every pain she knew she would feel she stuffed her resolved into the back corner of her mind, a place that would never leak to her sister; she couldn't have Even finding out what she planned to do. So she would lie, and she would do it effortlessly, as she always had.
She would be the only one that knew the real truth.

Re: SugaredKittie and RageDoomsday's Twin Character Development
Eve went through the day worried about her sister. She completely shut out and had not even sent her a message. Music was the same as always, the school had an upcoming show so everyone was pushed to the limits. Today those who has solos were first. Eve sang her part alone 3 times before the whole class went through the song. Then it was on to the others.
She moved to the back of the class and sat against the wall. Playing with the buttons on her blouse she watched the others practice. Then sang along, sat, sang along again, an on going cycle that they were use to since half of her class had solos this show. The class was almost over and she could not wait to get out of it for once. She stared at the clock on her phone till the time hit 11:45. It sounded like the others had been watching as well for a second later they all stopped singing.
"Ok, see you tomorrow guys." their instructor called as she herself turned to gather her things. Eve grabbed her bag and started toward the library doors to wait for her sister. She stood against the cold stone of the stair case looking for her sisters blonde hair to come into the entry way. Most of the kids were gone already. Out into the city to find some lunch or to the schools cafeteria to the other side of the school. Not surprising was the school food, like most upper class school the food was good. Big meals with the quality to match. Along with the range and variety also..

Zoe flitted through her music class then on to art only half paying attention to the instructors and the other students. In art she sketched some of the broken scenes from some of her visions: a dark figure, a broken room, a crying crowd, all of them made no sense to anyone looking on the outside but they all made sense to her.
Her mind wandered often as she continued to sketch frame after frame until finally the bell rang, signaling the end of class. She packed up her stuff, stuck it back in her locker, locked it and disappeared into the crowd heading out of the room.
Only when she was sure of herself did she open up her mind to her sister, letting her know she was on her way.
As she entered the main hall she caught her sister's eye, smiled, nodded, and then continued on her way out of the building; she knew better than to stop and walk with Eve until they were out of sight.

Eve waited a minute before following her sister out. She slipped her coat back on and made her way down the stairs and onto the next street where she met her sister. They walked for a minute before she spoke while buttoning her scarf,
"So what did you see?" she asked still upset about earlier. Her fear more came from knowing one would be taken from the other. But she was right about running. If they ran and the people did get to them, they would know there was two and probably take them both. That might not be so bad...
"Do you think it is the same people that took our parents? Do you think they know there are 2 of us?" her fear flooded her sister. If it was the same people they probably knew it. He mother would have had scars from child birth so she was sure they knew there was a child somewhere. Wither they knew if it was one of the twins was a different story. They tried so hard to make themselves not look alike. Some natural things helped, Eve's red hair and blue eyes for one. Zoe had Blonde hair and green eyes, other then their faces and birth marks you wouldn't think they were twins. Zoe worn her hair in her face half the time, they didn't hang out with the same friends or have the same classes in school. When they went to see one another in a show they always went alone and stayed near an exit.
It was all planned out, but why one of them were going to be taken away she didn't know. They never acted out, never were sick, and of course never really used their powers. How where they going to get ready for this...

"I didn't see much..." Zoe answered honestly, she could lie effortlessly, even to her sister if she planned it in advance, but she had no need to. "I'm not sure if they now about the two of us, but I would assume they only know of one because I only saw one being taken."
She turned to look at her sister for a moment as she brushed her hair from her face. "I don't think it's the same exact people that took our parents... And I do not think our parents are still alive... These people... They're monsters... They will test us to the breaking point and beyond just to learn about our powers, they want to control them... use them as their own..."
Zoe sighed as she followed the street to their favorite hole-in-the-wall restaurant and took a seat in the far corner.

She sat into the seat across from her sister and dropped her voice.
"So they are like building an army or something. Why the heck would they do that and who are they that they know about people like us that have powers?!" Eve was so confused about all this. "Or are they trying to make more of us..." mumbled at the end. She picked at the corner of the laminated menu. She didn't need to see it, it was more out of habit, she knew what she was getting and watched the waitress come over.
"Hello girls, can we get you something to drink?" the thin waitress asked.
"Can I get a just water?" she looked at her. The girl smiled and looked to Eve's sister. She watched Zoe order something to drink and the waitress left noting she would be back in a few minutes.
"What I want to know if how many people have they taken, and who they know the have powers." her finger tapped against her lips. The waitress returned with their drinks before Zoe could answer. They ordered there food and the waitress was gone again.
"Zo, it scares me."

Re: SugaredKittie and RageDoomsday's Twin Character Development
Zoe sighed as she listened to her sister's rambling then turned to the waitress and ordered a Vanilla Italian Soda.
"There's no point in becoming afraid..." Zoe answered as she skimmed her fingers over the menu. "I cannot answer your questions but to become afraid of the unknown will not make your life easier..."
She turned to look out the window they sat beside, letting her sea green eyes take in the world around them. Having the gift of Clairvoyance made her ignore most things because it was hard to focus, part of her wondered if going with the people hunting them would help curb or control her gift yet she knew that was a lie; they would never help her control her gift, they would take it from her.
She sighed lightly before she turned back to her sister. "All we can do is prepare..."

"I do not fear the unknown, I fear us being separated again..." The whole reason Eve had wanted to go to art school here was to be near her sister. She stared at her hands crossed on the table in front of her. Her eyes followed the lines.
"We know they are taking one of us, what isn't there to be afraid of?" she didn't want to look at her sister, she was not even really hungry anymore.
"What are we to prepare for? If that would help I am sure you would have already seen that." she sighed and flexed her fingers watching the skin stretch over her knuckles.
"We have no idea when this will happen, no idea who they are, no idea who its going to be. I hope its me..." she spat. Her fear left and turned to hope that it was her that would be taken. when she spoke again it was low.
"We have no where to even work with our powers, maybe we do prepare and thats how they know what we can do..."

Zoe watched her sister, watch the fear she had the first time she saw the vision flow through her. Eve asked the same questions she had earlier and, of course, she came to the same conclusion. She wondered for a moment whether it really would be her sister, but she knew better. There would be no chance that they would take Eve over Zoe; at least at first.
They were coming for one, of that she was sure from the vision, and it they did find the two together they would only be prepared to take the one home and Zoe knew her gift would be more tantalizing than Eve's.
No, for now Eve was safe, but there was no chance Zoe would that anything on that, she stirred in the Vanilla flavoring on her drink and took a sip.
"Eat..." She murmured to her sister. "You cannot preform on an empty stomach... And we prepare by wrapping things up in our lives as best we can..."

Re: SugaredKittie and RageDoomsday's Twin Character Development
The twins were quite through their meal only talking sparsely about the up coming school performances. The arts school held well over 50 shows a year and because of the girls both majored in different topics they were never in the same performances. After they had finished their meal and paid, the girls sat for a few extra minutes talking about Eve's dressage competition this weekend. Quietly they stood and walked out of the restaurant. The chilly air hit Eve in the face, instinctively she pulled her coat and scarf tight around her.
"I am thinking about switching schools. I think its the best choice if we want people to stay in the blue about us being twins. A friend of mine has seen you in the hall and is always telling me about this girl who looks so much like me." Eve blurted out without looking at her sister. It was the best idea in her head but she didn't know how her sister would feel. Before Zoe could answer she spoke again.
"There is another art school on the other side of Manhattan, its closer to my house. We can still see each other and hang out. Its a campus school, so the classes are set up like college. I will be able to have lunch the same time as you and I can still come up to Amando's for lunch." she bit her lip wondering what her sister was thinking.

Re: SugaredKittie and RageDoomsday's Twin Character Development
Zoe listened to her sister yammer about going to a different school. She sighed lightly and buckled up her leather jacket.
"Eve I don't think that would make any difference if you went to another school or stayed at the one we're both at."
She pulled out her cellphone and checked the time, smiling lightly at the picture of her and Vincent. She stuck her phone back in the tote then stamped her feet before heading towards the school.
"We're in different classes, we're safe for now. Besides you and I have been accepted into two different preforming arts colleges, soon we will be too far from each other for it to even matter. You worry too much about things we can't control. You could move to another country and still someone would notice us. We stand out, there's nothing we can do about it. Right now we need to focus on our studies and our scholarships. Just because we have money doesn't mean we should rely on our parents to pay for our schooling..."
She was rambling but the money was an issue for her. Eve's parents may pay for everything but Zoe's really wouldn't pay for anything. Her mother only wanted the next best thing in fashion and her father never knew what she was up to. She did not matter to them now that she was grown, but she still loved them deeply.

Re: SugaredKittie and RageDoomsday's Twin Character Development
Eve grunted and stopped in her tracks. The money comment pissed her off, her sister knew her family didn't have the money they use to after her fathers accident.
"We don't see each other now so I don't see what the problem is." she huffed and turned to the side. "Beside, I already talked to them and I start next week. If everything works out right I will be getting 2 scholarships through them..." she walked the other way knowing her sister and the school was getting farther and father behind her.
It was all true, she had been talking to this other school for months now. She had finally decided to transfer and was now thankful for it. With the news her sister gave her that morning, being away from each other would be better. They could still see each other, still talk and everything. But who ever was going to be captured could not be helped and the father away the other twin was, the better. Eve sighed, her sister could be so stubborn and unintentionally mean. She knew the money comment was not meant the way she took it but money was a touchy subject in her family anymore. She stepped to the curb and lifted her arm for a cab.
"Here let me!" a tall blonde haired boy stepped beside her, pushed her hand down and raised his own. Eve gave him a stunned looked and he smiled. "I was raised to be polite to ladies, I know... odd for New York right?" he opened the bright yellow door of the taxi when it came to a stop. Eve blushed and ducked in. The boy went to shut the door, Eve stopped it with her boot.
"Coming?" she asked looking up at him.
"You don't mind?"
She shook her head and slid over while he climbed in. "Cherry Brook Horse Farm, please" she called to the driver and the cab lurched forward.
"Dayton" the boy stuck his hand out. Eve noticed a small accent to him.
"Eve" she smiled and took his hand, she was about to shake when he raised her hand and kissed it.
She chuckled and pulled her hand back. "Very charming I see."
"I said before I was raised to be polite to ladies." His smile was like a halo
"A little to good to be true maybe? Kinda corny these days." she laughed
"Maybe here?" Dayton laughed "I grew up in Painswick, England. Very old fashion town, was a wool town at one time. My family moved here when I was 13.. Do you ride horses?"
"Sounds nice." She smiled "Yes, yes I do. I compete with them. My family use to own a horse ranch in Kentucky. My father had an accident that left him almost parallelized. He can walk but not for very long, his legs are very weak. We moved here just this year so I can go to the art school I wanted. I still ride in the evenings and weekends. Do you?"
"Of course." the boy snorted with a smile "Actually my own horse is stabled at Cherry Brook."
"Were you going there now?"
"Naw, I was just out and about. I live on my own in house down the road from the farm. I thought you looked familiar, probably have seen you at the barn. Do you do dressage? I think thats where I have seen you before. You won the farm's local dressage competition 2 weekends ago, your Eve Brown?"
Eve laughed "I am." It was a little weird that this boy knew her but then again just about everyone knew about everyone at Cherry Brook.
"Its Dayton Lloyd. I own Payn the buckskin. He is a few stalls down from your, Honor."
"Oh yes! Beautiful horse she is, Payn."
The two talked about horses the rest of the trip till the taxi pulled up to where the old dirt road of Cherry Brook.
"Well I am going to head home for an hour or two before I come down to work Payn. Would you like to hang out? Maybe have a cup of tea or something." Dayton smiled. Eve found herself flushed by this boy. She had just met him but she really liked him.
"Sure." She smiled "I was just going to ride for a little bit to blow off some steam. I should be in school so maybe hanging out for a bit is better just in case someone who knows where I should be sees me." Eve blushed as Dayton took her hand and started down the road.
"We don't see each other now so I don't see what the problem is." she huffed and turned to the side. "Beside, I already talked to them and I start next week. "Sure." She smiled "I was just going to ride for a little bit to blow off some steam. I should be in school so maybe hanging out for a bit is better just in case someone who knows where I should be sees me." Eve blushed as Dayton took her hand and started down the road.
Re: SugaredKittie and RageDoomsday's Twin Character Development
Zoe watched her sister leave in silence; if she wished to switch schools that was her choice and nothing would be said to change her mind. She walked quietly back to school and into a dance room, pulling off her school uniform to reveal her leotard, tights, and shorts were still on underneath.
Shutting herself down completely from her sister Zoe thought back to the visions she had been having for months. Losing herself in the visions she stretched, getting ready to practice her second dance piece. She wandered the vision over and over, looking for clues that would tell her who would be caught, if they knew of the two or just of one. Her mind flowed over colors and words, when there were some, then over places and buildings as she tried to piece together the what and who.
A hand tapped her shoulder gently causing her to whirl around and smile. "Hello Matthew." She greeted as she slid her leg free of the bar she had been stretching on.
Matthew smiled at Zoe as he kissed her cheeks softly. "You look distracted, is everything alright?" He asked as he cocked his head to one side.
Zoe smiled again and began stretching again. "I'm alright, just need to cool it for awhile."
Matthew kissed Zoe's forehead as he began stretching with her. They had been dance partners for years before going to the arts school together; in fact, Zoe and Matthew had been together for their whole life.
Many had wondered once if maybe they would date, they were a perfect pair, but that never happened. Zoe and Matthew remained friends only, but it wasn't because they never wanted too; Matthew was gay. The only one who knew was Zoe, and she would take her secret to the grave, or until he finally told others himself. To Zoe, Matthew was her only friend, even her sister did not have the extent of knowledge that Matthew did, and there was nothing she was going to do to ruin that friendship.
Matthew moved over to Zoe and helped her stretch. "I figured you would be overflowing with happiness since Vincent dropped you off today." He said with a knowing smile.
Zoe blushed at him as she stretched. "Matthew, you know better than that." She answered back before they stood.
"I know, I know..." He said with such mock sadness. "I just wish you would finally tell him the truth."
Zoe shook her head with a smile as they readied to practice their dance piece. "Maybe I will... someday soon..."

Re: SugaredKittie and RageDoomsday's Twin Character Development
Dayton's house really was not far from the farm. They had walked about a mile and a half along the fields of Cherry Brook before another house was seen. His house was the second from the farm, the house before had been recently built. The previous owners of Dayton's house must have sold part of the land about 20 years ago because the houses were all to close to be there from the start. The boy's house was a old white farm house with light brown trim. The house was easily 60-70 years old, and its last paint job was awhile ago since the paint was starting to chip in places.
"Its not much" Dayton laughed "Just moved in not long ago and am still fixing it up. I saw you were eying it and the houses around."
Eve nodded "Yea it seemed out of place."
"A lot of the houses where were rebuild. This was my grandparents house, its been abandoned for 4 years. Before they passed they sold a little bit of land on each side." He pointed to the two houses on the sides. "My family use to own Cherry Brook, but sold it before I was born. My father was never into horses and it probably would have die with my grandparents. I wasn't old enough to take over and my dad would have sold it anyway." he shrugged.
"Thats sad.. I guess we have a little bit in common. Only our farm was my mothers family, Only reason we still had it was because my dad loved horses and racing." She sighed, Eve missed her home. She grew up there but this was her choice mainly "Thats how they met," she smiled a little and looked up at Dayton. "My parents that is. My dad worked for my grandfather, he was one of his jockeys. My dad was heart broken when he had his accident. Horse racing was his life. And unlike most riders Daddy was one of the few talented ones that didn't have to use a whip."
Dayton chuckled and unlocked the door. Eve didn't even notice that they had went up the path or the stairs. Once inside he lead her into the Kitchen and motioned her to sit in the breakfast nook beside a large picture window that looked out into the back yard. Eve looked around in the Kitchen, from the entry way and this room you would have never told that this was an old farm house. The Entry was had been painted a nice welcoming warm orange color and recently too since it still smelled of paint fumes. It had a pine wood sofa table again the right wall beside the door way to the kitchen. A wardrobe was across from the table where Dayton had hung their coats. The kitchen was a light taupe and smelled like Dayton was quite a cook. The room was warm and smelled of fresh baked bread. Once he placed a pot of tea on the stove he seated him self on a stool across the table from where Eve was seated in a large wooden bench.
They talked and had tea for a good hour. The smell Eve had smelled when she entered was almost true she found out when he placed homemade biscuits that he said he made that morning. This boy was turning out to be way to good to be true, but Eve was so interested in him. After they were finished with talk and tea, Dayton left her briefly to go upstairs and change. When he left Eve took more of the kitchen in and thought it would be a good time to apologize to her sister without Dayton seeing her eyes change. 'Sorry about earlier, just have been in a bad mood lately.' she frowned 'Just depressed and your news this morning made it worse.. I didn't mean to lash on you' She picked at the cameo pin on her scarf.
Dayton popped in the door with her coat, "Let go ride some horses!" she smiled knowing he had just scared the crap out of her, for she jumped nearly a mile into the air.
"Alright." she laughed. Then left the house chatting while they pulled on their coats.

Re: SugaredKittie and RageDoomsday's Twin Character Development
Zoe always loved dancing with Matthew, they floated across the stage in perfect unison. Their moves were flawless and each turn came across as natural and never practiced. They danced together as if there was no one else in the room but them; Zoe's eyes always following Matthew's movements as Matthew's hands guided her to poses at the end of sequences.
Matthew hoisted Zoe into a difficult lift, making it look easy and natural. Their faces turned towards each other as they gazed into each others eyes as if in love. They danced together beautifully, flowing from one side to another. Nothing pulled their attention away from each other as they danced; this was the feeling Zoe always loved. Her heart raced, her body hummed, as she danced with Matthew. And though she knew that he would never be her boyfriend, he still made her being sing with nervousness and excitement.
As their sequence came to a close Matthew swirled Zoe around before sliding her down the front of his body and held her close as she let her upper half bend backwards and hang in his hands; it was a trust move and she knew that she would have never done it if it had been anyone else. He pulled her up again and smiled at her causing her to smile back. He let her go and they went to the teacher to hear the critique, though it was likely there would be none.
Zoe felt her sister's words whisper into her mind, but she did not answer; they were both not ready to talk about it. She smiled at Matthew then danced off to change back into her uniform. Coming back Matthew held his arm out to her, letting her slid her fingers over the muscles in his arm before they both walked out to leave school for the day.
"I know something's been bothering you..." Matthew finally said as they wandered down the street in silence for several moments.
Zoe looked up at him and sighed. "You're right..." She said as she pursed her lips. "I've had a lot on my mind."
Matthew pinched Zoe's cheek. "You gonna tell me...?"
Zoe leaned her head against his arm as she considered what she could tell him. The truth would upset him she was sure, but he was the only other person in the world besides her sister that knew about her gifts. Her mind rushed through the truth and what she could possibly tell him and then finally sighed. "You're not going to like the truth..."
"You know you call tell me anything Zo-zo." Matthew stated as he stopped walking and put his finger under Zoe's chin, making her look up at him.
Zoe smiled, tears glittering in her eyes as she nodded; her heart ached as she thought about the truth. She was sure that it was going to be her that was taken away. That she would be the one to loose everything important to her. Her mind wandered over the people she would truly miss and she scorned herself as she realized she had left Matthew off the list. She knew that the one she would miss the most, more than Vincent, more than her sister would be Matthew. He was the one that had always been there for her, and though she had been able to speak to her sister ever since she could remember, Matthew had always been the one that was there when she needed a shoulder to cry on, or an ear to talk to. So she looked up at the man that had done everything for her and more and decided that he deserved the truth.
"I know... I can tell you anything and you never judge me... Like that horrible truth about Vincent..." She smirked slightly then sighed lightly. "The truth is I've seen something that has utterly upset me and Eve... I believe that the person or people that took our parents have found one or both of us... One of us is going to be taken and I think it's going to be me..."
