"You can stay, they have already gone." she frowned at Matthew "I am just going to grab a cab." She handed Matthew the money that Zoe had given her for the bill. "Zo, didn't know if the bill was paid. I will see you later, kay!" she kissed Matthew's cheeks and turned into the crowd.


"Its fine, Eve doesn't want you going home alone. Said there was something wrong, whats up?" she glanced over at her while he drove. He knew she wouldn't tell him but it figured a try would be nice.

"So what do you need to get back here?" he asked as he pulled up to the house. He put the car in park and leaned back. "Do you need help bringing it out?" Dayton looked over at the girl



Thanks to a crazy cab driver Eve was home. She paid the driver and walked up to the old farm house. Something felt wrong tonight, but she didn't know what. Eve unlocked the door and went inside.

Zoe bit her lip as she gazed out the window. "No... it's nothing big... Just some memorabilia I really want to keep safe at Matthew's it shouldn't take long." She sighed quietly as she glanced at Dayton.

"I'm really glad that my sister has you... You treat her well and she's all smiles around you. Don't ever take that for granted." She brushed the stray hairs from her face as she watched her house looming into view. "I hope things work out well for both of you, you two deserve happiness."

She smiled at Dayton as they pulled to a stop in front of her house. Sliding out of the car she carefully left her purse on the seat knowing that when she didn't return Dayton would give it to Eve and there were memories in there she wanted her sister to have. Carefully she glided up the stairs on her toes, letting the heel fall an inch before the stair to keep from making sounds. Bracing herself she readied her mind for the possibility of being captured in her own home. When nothing happened in the front room she moved on through the house, waiting for anything then she heard noises.

She made her way up the stairs to the second floor, down the hall and stopped by the door to her parents bedroom. Her mind reeled wondering if she was about to see her parents having sex until she peered in the crack; it was Vincent.

Suddenly she felt as if she couldn't breathe, her heart fluttered uncontrollably as tears welled up in her eyes. She gasped, making a sick sobbing sound that choked her. Vincent's head shot around, his eyes widening when he saw Zoe's face.

"Zoe..." He murmured breaking her of her frozen state. She turned and ran down the hall to the stairs. She made it down the stairs, out the front room and down her front stone steps and into the street.

"ZOE!" She heard Dayton call as she sprinted down the sidewalk.

She stumbled, her heel catching in a crack and breaking; she kicked them off. Lifting her dress she ran faster, her heart racing, her breath wheezing, her mind reeling as she tried to stop the image she never wanted to see. Tears fell down her cheeks, freezing in cold streaks and burning her skin.

No!! Her mind screamed. No this can't be happening! This can't be real! I didn't see anything, it's all a dream and I'm going to wake up in Dayton's car as we pull up at my house. She panted past a stitch in her side ad would have continued running until she slammed into a fence. She stopped and gazed into the icy, inky face of a man-made lake. Her feet stung from the frozen ground but she was numb to the pain in her body as she struggled with the pain in her heart.

Eve had went straight for the shower and pulled off the tight costume. That warm water soothed her cold skin but the prick underneath and the fist in her gut still made her feel like something was wrong. She sighed and decided to go down and get something to eat. Eve through on a pair of sweat pants and a tang top, then wrapped then towel. She had texted Dayton, Zoe, and Matthew to let them know she was home and left it on the sofa table in the entry way. It glowed with an "Ok, good." from Dayton and a "Glad you are, have a goodnight! (;" from Matthew. She figured Zoe was in her parents house and left her phone in the car while Dayton waited. She laid the phone back on the table and drug herself to the kitchen. I sudden jolt of anger, sadness, and pain hit Eve all at once.. it was Zoe. She ran to the hall to grab her phone and just as her hand closed around it, it went off. 'Dayton' and a picture of him was on the screen. Something was wrong...



Dayton smiled and watched Zoe climb the stairs. His phone went off, along with Zoe's that was in her purse she left, with a text from Eve saying she was home safe. 'Ok, good.' he typed back and leaned back waiting for Zoe. A burst of light from the entry hall of Zoe's house made Dayton sit up 'That was fast.' When he looked though it was Zoe running down the stairs and a man shortly after her, only dressed in boxers. Dayton scrambled out of the car just as they turned the corner down the walk way.

"ZOE!" He screamed and started a head on run after her and the man, phone in hand. He could not see anyone when he rounded the corner, they were long gone. He dialed Eve


Eve answered in a panic
"Whats wrong!? What happened!? Where is Zo!?" she yelled as soon as she hit the talk button. Dayton's breathes heavy into the phone as he ran back to the car.
"She came flying out of the house, someone was behind her. I am going to try and find them in the car. YOU STAY HOME!" he yelled and hung up the phone. Sliding into the car he waisted no time starting it up and with the wheels spinning he took off out of the drive way and down along the walk way where he saw Zoe go.

As soon as the boy had left.. Carter made his move into the house. Him and the rest of Davidoff's team had been waiting for this for over 2 months. The women was sitting in the kitchen on the phone with who he figured was the girl's father.

"She just took off, Steve! Just gone no reason why or anything." the women yelled into the phone
"Amber calm down, if she doesn't return by tomorrow call the police. What was she doing home any way I thoug..." the other call was cut off. Carter knew it was Davidoff's agent who he hand contacted through walkie when they started to move.

"Steve?" the women calling into the phone. Cater jumped on her and wrapped his hand around her mouth. With the other hand a needle sunk into her neck in within a few seconds she was out. He dragged her up the stairs and placed her in the bed. The story they were going with this week was they had sent the girl to Lyle House a week ago. Because her school was privately owned, they were off for a fall break and it fit. No teacher's or students memories would have to be altered. He knew the other agent was altering her father's memory with the same story. Bipolar disorder, Panic disorder, and Schizophrenia was to be her entry.


The 2 'police' that had been assigned watch tonight took off in the shadows following the girl. The man that was pursuing her would be no problem, the girl was who they needed. Davidoff had been alerted as soon as she girl had left the house.

"Zoe..." A voice huffed.

Zoe looked up her eyes blurred with tears. "Vincent..." She murmured as she stood up. "Get away from me...."

"Zoe let me explain.."

"Explain what?" She cut him off, spitting the words back at him. "Explain how you were fucking my mom? How long has this been going on? Days? Weeks? Months? Years? Since you started with us? Before? Is that how you got the job at such a young age? Did you even know what I was feeling for you? That I was falling for you? Did you like playing with my heart? Watching me fall for you as you fucked my mother? You're all the same... All of you... You only think about sex, or moving up in the world. You don't care about love or what others are thinking. You only want what's best for yourself. You make me sick..."

As she snapped at him, attacking him with heated words the water lapped against the side of the lake behind her. The angrier she got the thicker the waves were becoming. Soon waves were crashing down from the center of the lake as the water spun and lifted, crashed and danced. Her anger fed the torrent of water behind her.

"I hate you..." She hissed as she stared darkly at the man she no longer knew. "I wish you would just disappear."

As in on command the water surged forward engulfing Vincent in a globe. Her anger made her slow to react, part of her enjoyed watching him drown as the other part of her was drowned out from her thoughts. As the bubbles surging from his mouth and nose finally stopped did the other part of her screamed into her mind, jarring her.

"Oh my god..." She said startled as the globe crashed to the ground before her. She ran forward. "Vincent! Vincent!!!" She screamed as she ran to him. She listened to his heart. Oh god... She thought as she steadied him. Tilting his head back she blew into his mouth and began pumping his heart; only part of her thanked her grandmother for making her take CPR classes.

"1... 2... 3... 4... 5..." She panted as she pushed his chest before blowing into his mouth as she pinched his nose.

After long agonizing minutes he coughed out water and began breathing again.

"Oh thank god..." She murmured as she sat back. Suddenly she heard movement and her head shot up, that's when she saw them.

"Oh..." She sighed as she watched two people walk out of the shadows. She stood, straightening out her long dress before fixing her hair.

Happy Birthday Eve... She thought to her sister. I love you so much... Take care of Matthew for me... Please, have an amazing life for me...

One of the police officers spoke as they approached.
"Is there a problem here?" when they were about 5 feet from Zoe they stopped. Ones hand raised Zoe's body collapsed to the ground. His powers were used to control others bodies. Zoe couldn't move or even scream when they finished approaching her. The other sat her up and held her while the one who had used his powers on her dragged Vincent into the water, rendered him useless and they watched as Vincent drowned.

Davidoff came up behind them with another brute.
"Thank you boys. The others have made work of her parents." the policeman turned Zoe to face Davidoff. They held her while Davidoff took Zoe's chin in his hand and moved her head to take a look at her face.

"Boy do you look like your mother.." he smiled and motioned for them to take her to the car. Once she was seated in the back they injected her with 2 different things. I made her sleepy they other she could feel her connection with Eve draining.


Eve had been trying to make herself stay put. She knew that Dayton was not going to find Zoe 'They got her... why tonight of all nights! Why didn't I go with her!' her head screamed.

"Happy Birthday Eve... I love you so much... Take care of Matthew for me... Please, have an amazing life for me..." Eve collapsed into tears with her sisters message. Soon after she felt her sister slip away. Curl into a ball Eve passed out herself.

Dayton found Eve on the floor when he returned from searching. When he picked her up she stirred
"Did you find her!?" she whispered while Dayton laid her on the couch. I silent shake of his head told her no.
"I did what I could Eve, I used her purse even.." Dayton bit his lip at his slip up
"You used her purse?" Eve's eyes widened at the comment
"Eve.." he grabbed her hand. "I can track people. I am not normal if I have something of theirs well.. I can see where they are." He watched as Eve's eye got even bigger. "Only problem is.. you and your sister are so connected and different from others, well her tracks basically form one." He sighed and hung his head "You must think me a freak.."

Eve sat up a little. "I don't.. I am more stunned that you didn't tell me sooner."
"I don't tell anyone, its not like it is common."
"Common enough for use to meet." Dayton raised his head
"What do you mean, Eve?"
"Zoe and I well.. are not normal either. Its probably why you can't track her, not because we are twins but because we both have.. powers."
Dayton sat back "What... how, how can there be more?"
"There are tons more Dayton just.. no one knows. Everyone except for the people who took Zoe.. I can't do anything for her." tears flooded her face again and her eye burnt.
"The people who took her? This was planned? You knew!?"
"Not exactly.. Zoe can see the future and control water, I can heal and control earth. Our real parents had powers too. People were after them when we were born and Zoe had a vision that one of us would be taken. She didn't know who or when. Now we do..." she hugged her knees to her and weeped into them. Dayton sat quiet and only moved to hold Eve.

Zoe glared darkly at Davidoff when he grabbed her chin, part of wanted to spit in his face but the power of one of the cops still held her immobile. She refused to give in to him though, every inch of her body strained against the powers of the one holding her. There was nothing she could do.

The police men loaded her into the car quickly, jamming a needle into her to make her tired. She stuggled to stay awake until the second needle bit into her sink and stole her abilities and her sister away from her; she no longer could feel Eve in her mind.

Tears welled in her eyes as she felt the connection cut, but she wouldn't give her sister away, she would not let Davidoff know that there was another child of her parents. A tear dripped down her cheek as the world turned black and she slid into a drugged sleep.
