Kiera blinked at the question, tilting her head up to the sky as she thought. "I'm not sure honestly..." She finally answered.
"I might... I was kicked out when I was very young and I did not have any siblings when I left so I'm really not sure... I guess I probably do, I'm sure that woman is even remarried and happy but I wouldn't know nor do I honestly care..." She shrugged.
"I don't remember anything about my family..." She murmured.

Mrs. Talbot and Dr. Gill checked Blake in and handed him his dog tags. Gill left stating that she would see him in group and then have a personal meeting with him afterwards while. Talbot told him he could go greet the other students and breakfast would be ready in about 10 minutes. After that she left him to himself in the dinning area.

Anna had watched Talbot lead the boy in the the dinning room where Dr. Gill had entered a few seconds before. She watched the boy, 'He is attractive' she though. Finally she got up, made her way out the front door and around the house just to hear Zach asking Kiera about siblings. She ignored the too and picked up a ball that was hiding in a bush beside the small shed. the ball was going a little flat but it was still able to bounce. Anna walked back over to the deteriorating basketball area and threw the ball around for a bit before breakfast.

Kiera watched silently as Anna attempted to play basketball with the flat ball. Her mind wandered off to the past as she thought about the time when she first arrived and the months that came after.

Her heart turned as she thought about certain times but she let herself wander down memory lane as she shook her hair, letting it slide across her face and cover her eyes.

The month flew by like nothing had ever happened. Huck was taken away 2 weeks after Anna, Katerva, and Blake had arrived. Liz was still with the kids, they had no idea why. Mrs. Talbot had hired a company to fix up the back yard for the kids. All they really did was lay down a new basketball area. Miss Van Drop had bought a few new balls and other toys, along with a new nets since the men who had fixed the court also refurbished the hoop and pole. There were other new things around the house and even more was about to change...

Anna stretched as she pulled herself out of bed. The morning breeze blew in from the window which had nice new touches on them. It had been a month and a half since Anna had arrived at Lyle house everything had been going when she figured was typical until 2 weeks ago Kiera had a 'break down.' Van Drop and Talbot had to drug and hold the girl down to try and get control of her. Kiera had a new anklet to show for it, the house had a few new 'touches' too. Bars were places on the windows of the higher rooms, new cameras were placed around the house and even in every room of the house other then the kids bathrooms. The place really did feel like a prison now..
A room on the second floor was remodeled after the outbreak, all the computers and electrical things were move in there. Kiera's "punishment" was she was not allowed to enter that room and the door had to be closed at all times. Anna found out a few days later that the room had been reinforced so that Kiera could not use her powered through it. She had never found out what Kiera had freaked out about, she did know that living with her was worse now, but everyone else was getting a little better in the house.

It was Saturday and the smell of breakfast was coming threw the window. The kitchen had been remodeled too after everything. Kiera had never been able to reach anything in the basement so the freezer and refrigerator was moved to a small entry like room down there. New larger cabinet and a new pantry were put in, and a wooden stove was brought to replace the electric one.
After a quick shower, Anna brushed through her hair in front of the mirror. Her hair was getting so long, she would have to ask for a hair cut today. Some new nurses from Dr. Davidoff's hospital were brought over now and then to help Van Drop and Talbot. They took some of the kids out different places and such to get new cloths, haircuts, books, things that they needed. It reminded Anna of when she was little and needed an adult with her at all times. That was probably one of the reasons Anna had only left the house 3 times. Once she talked Katreva into going out with her to by the girl some clothes and other things, the second time it was to Barnes and Nobels to get some new books, the third was a try to help Van Drop get groceries.
She missed shopping but would rather stay here then be chained to a nurse to whole time she was out.
Anna pulled on jeans and a black t-shirt after pulling up her hair into a large clip. Katreva was still asleep in the bed so she tip toed through the room to grab her jacket and boots. She sat herself against the wall on the stairs and pulled her boots on. She didn't hear anyone else up so she made her way down to the kitchen while pulling on her coat. Van Drop handed Anna's pills to her as she walked in the door. She had learned how to 'take' the pills and hide them. The 'pills' that the nurses had been giving the teens were to stop their powers. When Kiera and Anna started talk of breaking out, she stopped taking them so she could try and use them to help. She was getting stronger since she had found out what she really was, a Necromancer. It was a scary thought at first but after she got over the shock it explained a lot of what she could do.

Miss Van Drop interrupted her zoning out,
"Could you run down and get the milk for me, Anna?" she asked. Anna nodded and started down the stairs. As soon as she was at the bottom she spit the pills into her hand and shoved them onto her pocket, later she would flush them down the drain or toilet. Once the fridge and that was moved down to the basement, the teens were allowed to go down to just that first rooms. It was a small room, with harsh lighting and was always cold. Anna shivered as she looked around at the 4 doors that were to her left and right, 2 on each side. No one knew where they lead and they were always locked. There was someone standing in the corner beside the last door on the right. Anna had not seen him at first, she looked up the stairs quickly to see if the door had shut behind her.
"Hello?" she whispered toward the man. He was wearing a plaid shirt with a pair of overalls and work boots. 'He had to have been a worker who died here' Anna thought. The man looked at her and then was gone. She jumped a little at the mans disappearance, it had looked like he was ripped threw the wall he was standing against. She shook her head and opened the fridge. As she reached into grab the milk the door the mad had been sanding beside started thumping and yelling from inside. Anna grabbed the milk, slammed the door and took off up the stairs. When she got threw the door Van Drop was staring at her with concern.
"Sorry, the washer freaked me out.." she laughed and handed Van Drop the milk. She smiled took the milk and went back to cooking breakfast. Anna grabbed a banana and headed outside. She made herself believe that it was the washer the had scared her. The washer and drier were in a nook to the left of the stairs. They had been on when she had went down, so she blamed the rinse cycle and went to sit in her spot against the willow tree in the back yard.

Kiera sat with her back up against a wall as she stared silently at the camera in her room. She loathed the new technological instrument that had been installed in nearly every room in the house. She hated herself even more because she had lost control of her powers. Her mind was becoming a fog to the noises of technology, not just in the house but from outside. Everything for miles beamed their programing right into her mind.

She hadn't expected it when it happen, she never knew that it was even possible to have outside technology download it's information straight into her mind without her touching it. Van Drop and Davidoff had strapped a new anklet to her because of the incident. Davidoff even dragged her off to "test" her to make sure she was "sane"; he finally deemed the sudden outburst of power a fluke and brought her back. It was the most terrifying few hours ever for her; she would never admit it to anyone.

She growled silently at the camera then closed her eyes, now that her powers had doubled almost over night and she was banned from any electronic item in the house meditation was becoming an everyday occurrence. She breathed in long slow breaths as she calmed her mind. In and out, she pulled in deep slow breaths then let them back out even slower. Finding her sen spot she let herself literally wade through the tons of new data as it continued to pile up, all of it completely useless. She filed everything away, letting it continue to store itself in the "filing cabinets" she had set up for each item. Part of her sighed in relief as she saw her mind was still decoding the passcodes on the alarm system and cameras of the house. She let herself drift through the news that had complied from someone's home computer, learning what had been happening on the outside; same shit different day she finally deemed.

She opened her eyes, leaving most of her mind and body in her zen state and left her room. To most in the house she had begun to look like a zombie, going through the motions without any actual interaction emotionally with any person in the house. She felt herself "ruffle her feathers" in anger at being locked out of everything technological in the house, but she let it pass as she continued to stay in meditation; she wouldn't let them win.

Zach laid in bed, staring at his still deformed ceiling. It's amazing that no one's noticed it yet... These people must be idiots! All the better for me I guess, though I suppose it's due to their attention on that Kiera girl. He wondered what suddenly made Kiera's power go berserk, but figured that it could've been anything. His powers haven't grown as significantly, but he'd only use his powers to do small things that didn't make a difference. He could melt things, but it was such a slow process that he couldn't have used it to try escaping or to do anything amusing. If the butter on his toast didn't melt all the way, he could fix that, and while it was still practice, it didn't really give him any better grip on his powers. Though, he noticed that the process had sped up a triffle, though not very noticeably. I wonder how they'd modify the house if I suddenly lost control of my powers..., Zach wondered as he once again became lost in thought.

She pulled the mp3 play out of her pocket while she watched Van Drop move past the kitchen windows several times. Gently she popped the head phones in and turned on the device. Music purred in her eyes and she moved her gaze to the yard. As if by mental note..
"Rake leaves.." Anna sighed. On the chore list she had been assigned to rake the yard.

Anna watched the fallen leaves blow across the yard. She watch as one tumbled into a shoe.
"Anna, dear. Please come in and greet our newest resident." She looked up and saw Mrs. Talbot smiling down at her. Anna stuffed her headphones and ipod into her pocket and got up.
"I didn't know we had anyone new coming..." she sad as Talbot lead her inside.
"Oh he was here a few years ago, he has returned for more help."

When they reached the living room Anna saw a large teenager sitting on the chair.
"Chris meet Anna, Anna this is Chris. Now where are those other kids...." Mrs. Talbot left Anna staring at the new kid.
"Hi." he said. He had blue eyes that you could barely see over his long light brown hair. He had broad shoulders that his red t-shirt hung tight too. You cold tell he was very thin because that was the only part of his shirt that was tight.
"Hello." Anna smiled "I am Annabel, but Talbot already said that." she felt so awkward in her skin right now. 'Someone please come down and save me...'
"Yea, names Cable."

'Great... what do they have in store today.' Cable thought as he was lead through the unscented hallways, blindfolded. Now and then an occasionally moan or scream would come from the other 'test subjects'. Thats all they were anymore, 2 years of dark cold rooms and inhuman testing, he never thought he would end up here. Chris Benoit was his name when he entered, he was beaten down and made into a simple number now, 493.
"We have something special for you, four ninety three." was what the nurse had whispered in his ear as she yanked him up and pulled him out of his room. Her voice was cold and from what he could tell she was small but he was weak now. Not the muscular football player that had been thrown into an 'Insane Asylum' for threating and then hurting his parents one winter night. He hadn't meant to..
He shook his head and let himself be pulled along. Finally he felt warmth on his skin and light on the other side of the blindfold. The blindfold was ripped off his eyes. He squinted as the light stung his eyes. He could make out Dr. Davidoff and 2 other large men beside him.
"Fix him up..." was all Davidoff said before he started out the room with the small female nurse tagging behind him.

3 hours of threats and beating, Cable was afraid to even open his eyes. He was already to scared to do anything after 2 years of 'test'. Apparently Davidoff didn't think that was enough for the boy. One thing that Cable had to look forward to was getting out of here. He was told he was going back to Lyle House. No reason why but it was away from here. A box of things had been handed to him and he was lead into a bathroom.
"Clean up, change and get ready to go." one of the men said. Cable showered by himself for the first time since leaving Lyle house. He wore his own clothes instead of the starch white scrub pants that all the males were forced to wear here. Finding an old hemp necklace in the bottom of the box he smiled and tied it around his neck. He was surprised it was there this necklace was given to him by a girl that was in Lyle House when he left. She had to be in this hell hole by now, be he hadn't seen her. Maybe...

During the car ride Davidoff warned Cable that anything could end him back at the hospital. The house looked different then what he remembered, but the witch standing on the stairs didn't. The male nurse that had been driving the car pulled to a stop as Talbot started her way down the path. Cable staid quite as the nurse pulled his things out of the car and made his way to drop them in the house. Talbot and Davidoff stood around Cable.
"He knows." Davidoff nodded as he slipped back in the car and Talbot lead Cable inside. The car pulled away as Talbot told him to sit in the living room and she would be right back. The smell of breakfast hide Cable as Talbot went threw the door. He knew that Mrs. Kline could not be here anymore, she had been of the ones that died in the 'accident'. He wondered who the new nurse was, Davidoff had told him none of the old staff other then Talbot were still at the house. Just then Talbot came back threw with a girl at her side.
"Chris meet Anna, Anna this is Chris. Now where are those other kids...." Mrs. Talbot left the girl there staring at him.
"Hi." he said.
"Hello." she smiled "I am Annabel, but Talbot already said that." He could feel the girl was awkward. 'She is cute' he thought as he looked her over.
"Yea, names Cable."

Lyle House: Home for Teens in Need - Page 5 Empty Re: Lyle House: Home for Teens in Need

Post  SugaredKittie Tue Apr 27, 2010 11:27 pm

Kiera watched as Talbot came out to get Anna, telling her she needed to meet some new inmate. She shook her head and sighed as she pulled up her head letting her mind drift into the ever growing abyss of random accumulated data that she hadn’t even known was being collected. She let her virtual image collect together, tiny fragments of data gathering together to create her “other self”.

The tiny naked version of her-self floated between the aisles of random unnecessary information; part of her mind filed away a thought to find a way to remove some of the “junk” that was collecting. Finally she floated to a stop before an old beat up door. Her finger tips traced over the cracked wood and rusted lock, she had neglected for a very, very long time. Behind the door were memories of a time that had hurt her most than anything else in the world and she had locked them away, shoved them to the far corner of her mind, slammed the door, locked it, and purposefully forgot about it. Her consciousness told her to leave, to not open the door, to leave it alone, but her heart and subconscious refused to listen. Soon the door was melting away and her “self” was floating across the thresh hold. Suddenly images of a young man filled her mind.

Long brown hair and shown with copper, a football quarterback build and an attitude to match were all still fresh to her as they day she first met him. She was brought in straight from the streets after her last escape from yet another asylum. She was mean, attacking anyone that got within range and he was just the one that liked to attack back. They hated each other in the beginning, always throwing punches at each other; it always ended with both of them being locked away in separate rooms.
One fight was different; he lashed out at her not with fists but with powers. Soon she felt her life draining from her body. In a panic she opened herself up to every electronic device within the Lyle house, connecting her life energy with the electrical power of technology, giving herself a never ending supply of life force and ending his attack. They realized they weren’t “odd”, that if both of them had powers maybe the others did too. Within days they found the truth, that many of the other kids in the house were gifted as well. Once the truth was revealed to them Kiera set out to find out why they were being brought together in one place.
The truth was horrible, tearing her apart inside. She learned that the owner of the Lyle house hunted up children with powers, brought them to Lyle House, studied them, and when they were deemed ready they were dragged off to another hospital somewhere never to return. The ones left behind were lied to, always told that the kids that left were sent home because they were “better”, but now Kiera knew the truth and it crushed her.
As soon as she found the truth she turned to the only one she trusted, the young man that had revealed the truth to her about their own powers. She told him everything, breaking down into tears as she thought about what would happen to the ones taken away. He held her, letting her cry, staying with her all night. He was gentle, holding her as if she would break; it was the only time they were together like that.
The morning brought the end to everything Kiera held dear. She snuck out of his room, returning to her own to get ready for the day, not knowing that everything was about to change. She head into the main room of the Lyle house, as they always did, waiting for breakfast when the boy came down in a huff. He was angry but she knew there was no way to ask him what it was. Suddenly the whole world was turned upside-down. Another of the house guests rushed down the stairs, aiming to attack the boy only to be stopped dead, literally, by his gifts. He lost control, attacking everyone around him, draining their lives from them in his rage. Kiera latched onto the technology in the room, saving herself from death only to become the only witness to a mass murder.
Before anyone knew what was happening Davidoff appeared with two large men and dragged the boy from the room.
“CHRIS!!!” She remembered herself screaming as she chased after them. “NO!!! Please no!!!”

Kiera shook herself from the memories as she quickly wiped away the tears that had treaded down her face. She cursed herself for opening those memories and quickly locked in place a heavier door, this time she would never open it again. Pushing away from her resting place she wandered into the house only to be stopped dead in her tracks.
‘No…’ She thought as she stared at the figure beside Anna. ‘This is a dream…’ She felt her heart race as her mind screamed at her to run. She couldn’t stop herself and before she knew it she felt herself speak.
“Chris…”

His eyes grew wide when the girl walked threw the door, she was still here. Did they bring him back to torture him more? Did they bring him here so he could watch her be taken away. She said his name, he looked away.
"Kiera..." he whispered. His right hand went to his head and he rubbed it at the device in his head pricked a little. In his confusion his powers started to flare. Cable shook his head, stood and went to his bag. Quickly he picked it up and started up the stairs.

"Nice to meet you Anna.." was all he said quietly as she left.

She was about to say something when she heard the door behind her open. Turning she watched Kiera enter and stop abruptly. Her eyes on Cable while the door behind her swung shut with a thud. Keira's eyes were wide and she could see something was wrong.
“Chris…” she said. Anna turned to look at Chris, his face read the same. Something was up and Anna didn't know exactly what. Now instead of someone coming to the rescue, Kiera's entry had made the room even more awkward. Cable turned his head, mumbling something, then rubbed his head. He left then, ignoring Kiera and saying good bye to Anna. That made the tension worse...

Anna watched his go up the stairs and turned to Kiera,
"You know him!?" she hissed in a low voice. Thats was all she could say, something was going on here and it was weird.

He was placed in room three. Cable wondered who the boy living in his old room was as he stopped in front of the door. He stared down at the forth door before opening his own and taking the one bag he owned, inside. He dropped the bag and looked around. The rooms were the same, only the living area seemed to look different. 'Duh..' With that he fell onto the bed and stared face down into the pillow.

Kiera watched Chris disappear up the stairs as she fought her urge to rush after him. What would she do if she caught him? Hit him? Kiss him? Question him? So many things rush through her mind; it couldn't really be him... Could it...? Emotions flooded her in a heart beat as she struggled to compose herself, twitching her head her hair fall over half her face, closing off most of the emotions she was feeling.

Part of her registered that Anna had asked her a question but she didn't listen, so she didn't answer. Finally she pulled herself free from being rooted to the spot and knew she was going to lose control so she vanished up the stairs, into her room then into the bathroom where she slammed the door behind her. Nerves rocked through her as she struggled to control herself, her emotions and her powers.

Chris was back and she had no idea what to expect. Was he here to hurt them or help them? Could she do anything to him if he was here to take her back with him? Would she go because it was him? Or would she fight? She just didn't know anymore

Kiera had ignore Anna and tore of the stairs to fast for Anna to try and stop her. 'Who is Chris? How do they know each other? And what is going on...?' Anna shook her head and headed up the stairs. Before she was even on the first one Van Drop had popped out the door and told her to let everyone know breakfast was ready. She nodded and headed up stairs. At the bottom of the boys stairs she yelled up letting them know Van Drop's message. After that the girls were next, she peeked in her room and let Kat know then went and knocked on Liz's door. She left Kiera last on purpose.. Liz opened her door, Anna relied the message yet again and Liz left down the hall.

Anna turned and knocked then opened Kiera's door. She could hear her in the bathroom, she didn't know what the girl was doing but she needed to stop before Talbot heard. She knocked on the bathroom door
"Kiera its me, may I come in...?" she called threw the door.

Cable heard the breakfast call and slowly made his way to the door. He stood there for a minute before opening it and starting down the hall. The medicine that he was given before exiting the hospital were still in effect and he was so tired. Worse then that he though he had a rib bruised, it ached and throbbed. He rubbed his side as he walked.

Kiera startled at the knock. Jumping to her feet she rubbed at her face trying to cover up anything that would give away the idea that she had been upset. Taking in a deep breath she unlocked the door.

"Yeah... you can come in."

Zach sighed as he laid in his bed. He was running out of things to wonder about despite his curiosity, so he decided to wander downstairs to see what there was to do. By the time Zach had left his room, Chris/Cable had just gone into his own room, so Zach had not yet known about the new attendee. Zach decided to go the game room and see if he could amuse himself with something in there. I suppose I could go play basketball in the back yard, but I never did like sports...

In the end, Zach decided to play with a set of dominoes. His 'project' was still incomplete - he was trying to line up the dominoes so that they would make an image of a tiger. I don't think this looks right..., Zach thought as he finished lining up the dominoes that constructed the tiger from its head to its midriff. It looked a lot more like a normal cat that happened to have stripes like a tiger's, but Zach felt it was sufficient enough - he was more interested in the knocking down of the dominoes that would come when he was finished.

Anna pushed the door open, entered, and shut it behind her.
"What's going on?" she hissed at Kiera.

The girl was upset, you could tell that a mile away. But Anna wanted to know why. Kiera went threw enough because of a freak out. She didn't know what they would do to her if she did it again.

Cable heard someone in the game room as he made it to the bottom of the stairs. He peaked in to see a kid playing with dominoes. He shook his head and went threw the living room. Placing himself as far away from the door as he could, he sat at the table and waited for the others.

Kiera stared at Anna for a few silent moments before pushing past.

"Chr.... Cable was here many years ago when I first came into this place. He was taken away when the incident happened... he was the one that caused it. He shouldn't be back here at all, they never come back..." She stared at Anna out of the corner of her eye. "I don't think we can trust him..."

With that she left her room and headed downstairs aiming for the table to eat breakfast.

As Kiera was descending the stairs, Zach had just finished making his "tiger" out of dominoes. Definitely looks more like a coincidentally striped house cat..., Zach decided to himself as he looked at his creation. Now came the fun part, at long last. Zach carefully walked to the tip of the tiger's tail and carefully knelt down near it as he gently knocked over the dominoe at the end of the tail. The dominoe fell over, toppling over the dominoe after it and starting the chain reaction as all of the dominoes started to follow suit. The whole event was rather short, but it did serve it's purpose. Zach just hoped that he hadn't caused too much noise with the knocking down of the dominoes.

Lyle House: Home for Teens in Need - Page 5 Empty Re: Lyle House: Home for Teens in Need

Anna sighed loudly and chased Kiera down the stairs without a word. 'Later' she would talk to her later about it. 'The incident happened' that could not have meant the one she read that first night she talked to Kiera, could it? Anna had read quite a few things about lyle house since then and there were plans about an escape but nothing final yet. Would this boy change it all...?

He heard 2 pairs of feet coming down the stairs. He knew it was Keira and Anna before they came threw the door. Their 'currents' told him who they were, and Kiera was not happy. Her storming in through the door confirmed that...

'I need to talk to her, but there are camera's everywhere.' Cable sighed and turned his head to look out the window.

Anna nodded to Cable after she came into the dinning room after Kiera's rage. She seated herself 2 chars away from Cable and fiddled with her nails.

"She is pissed..." there was a whisper in her ear. She knew after months here that there were many 'people' here and no one else heard them. She didn't bother to look anymore because no one visible was there. Just as she was thinking that a hand, that she could still see threw, passed in from of her face.
"Don't ignore me!" Anna jumped, her and the chair went tumbling backwards. 'What the hell! I rarely see the, now two in one day?' her head screamed. But there he was, the man she had seen down stairs earlier that morning. She shook her head and he was gone again just as Talbot came threw the door.

"Oh my!" Mrs. Talbot called and went to help Anna up.
"I am fine" Anna refused the help and got herself up while Talbot fixed the chair. "I just leaned back and lost balance. I am ok"
"Are you sure, dear?"
"Yes yes" she pushed Talbot off. She was sure Kiera and Cable were staring at her while she watched Talbot go back threw the door. Anna sat herself back in the chair without looking at the other kids.

Cable was getting ready to assist Anna when Talbot came threw the door. He promptly placed himself back into the chair and watched the girl re seat herself. She was flushed, what had happened he didn't know but it wasn't a lose of balance.

Kiera smiled a dark, knowing smile as she watch Anna fidget with something; it had to be her powers. She seated herself on the far opposite side of the table she could get from Chris, she refused to even look at him. Part of her screamed, point at the locked door in her mind, telling her there was no way he was back to harm them but her conscious did not trust him. No one came back to the Lyle house, no one.

absentminded-ly she touched the neon pink piece of hair in the back of her head, suddenly wishing she stopped wearing it when he left. She had worn it because once upon a time he had died her hair for her and had not told her he was adding some color she hated above all else, by the time she had realized what had happened it was too late to fix it. In the beginning she had scorned the neon pink strip in all that black but he had seemed so attached to it, so she kept it only wishing she had something of his to hold on to; she should have stolen that shirt when she had the chance.

She stopped the memories before her cold heart could warm back up to him, he could not be trusted, not now anyway. So she closed off the memories again and pulled up her hood, covering away the pink keeping him from seeing it; hoping he had not seen it yet.

Zach finally came to the dining room after cleaning up the dominoes that he had been playing with. He noticed that something, or rather someone, was out of place immediately upon entering the room. I wonder who that is..., Zach thought as he looked at Chris from beneath his hood, I suppose it doesn't matter. He's just another person that's come here for "help." Zach seated himself in a chair whose adjacent seats were empty, closed his eyes, shoved his hands into the pocket of his hoodie, and waited quietly.

The teens ate in an awkward silence. A half hour later they all went their separate ways whether to do chores or something else, it was a Saturday go it didn't matter. As long as the chores were done, the staff didn't care.

After breakfast Anna made her way outside without looking at another teen. She lifted the latch on the shed, pulled the rake and lawn bag out, and went to raking up the loose leaves. It took awhile but she listened to her music while she worked and the time didn't faze her. Only after the yard was leaf free she tied the bag and carried it to the side of the house. It landed with a dry plop beside the garbage can.
Anna placed the rake back in the shed and grabbed a bottle of water when she passed threw the kitchen. The Living room was nice and cool so she pulled a book out of the bookshelf and curled her legs onto the chair.

"Of Mice and Men.." she smiled at the book. It was one of her favorites, she cracked it open and started reading.

Cable headed to the game room after breakfast. After looking around he grumbled since nothing in the room could really be done without another person. He sighed and started up the stairs to the 'computer room' on the second floor, Talbot had told him about on the way inside. He had figured the only reason the room was made was because of Kiera's powers. He knew all about them and he knew more them anyone what the house really was. He found the room, marked with a sign on the door for help.
Cable entered the room and seated himself at a computer. He knew no news of the past 2 years, so he set himself to reading articles from the time he missed.

Kiera went straight into her bedroom after chores sitting in the corner under the camera as she went into her meditative state, trying to finally remove some of the data that had continuously collected in her mind. For now all she could do was "delete" the useless stuff since she hadn't figured out a way to stop the inflow.

Suddenly she felt the familiar buzz of electronics. She let her other "self" follow it until she entered one of the computers Talbot thought she had locked away from Kiera, but she was getting better at entering and exiting electronics without actual touch.

Being connected to the computer she let her mind download all the useless information she had gathered into it, letting the internet take back what it had given her. Part of her wondered who was using the computers but she was certain no one would notice her presence on it.

Zach went off to clean the bathrooms after he had finished his breakfast. No one ever seemed to like cleaning the bathrooms, but Zach didn't really see what was so bad about it. On the plus side, it was one place that he his powers became somewhat useful - no need to scour and scrub at something when you can just liquify it and wipe it off. Also, since there were no cameras in the bathrooms, he could use his powers without anyone to witness it. Armed with some spray-on cleaner and some rags, Zach disappeared into the bathrooms for about half an hour, making sure to put up signs on the doors and to lock them so that people knew that they were being cleaned.

Cable felt Kiera enter a meditative state, then the computer jumped in energy. He smiled a bit and let him mind wonder to her. 'I know your in here' the energy flowed to the girl. He could see what she was doing, just like she was seeing. But there was a twist, It was more seeing it in a heat signal. Figures and shapes only. The more energy the lighter the grey scale was...

Quickly Cable brought up the article from the 'accident' and waited to see what Kiera's action would be. If this would have been before, he would have made his was to her room without anyone knowing. But now these camera's made everything harder. He knew if anyone even saw them together it would have caused something bad. He didn't want Kiera to go threw what he did but how could he get her to trust him? From her energy earlier she didn't trust him or want to be near him... why though?

Kiera shivered as she felt Chris's energy pass through her, hearing the words it brought with him. She turned and watched as he brought up the news clipping from the accident and seethed. They had not even mentioned him, it was like he had been erased from history forever. Her mind wandered back to those few minutes before the "accident" and a wave of deep longing and sadness washed over her as she struggled to keep herself from remembering that day.

Kiera shook her head, both virtual and real, she couldn't think about that now there had to be a way to find out if he was back at Lyle to finally get her to reveal the truth about her growing powers or was he really trustworthy. She wouldn't let her mind listen to her heart as it screamed to trust him.

I loved him once... She thought as she felt a tear finally break free. And that may just be my downfall...

Cable shut down the computer almost as fast as he pulled up the page. He had used to much of his power and the device in his head was starting to sting. He left the room and sat at the bottom of the boys stairs fidgeting with his sleeve. Part of him almost hoped Kiera would try to find him. The other part didn't want her to out of fear. He sighed, stood, and climbed the stairs to his room.

Before he knew it, seconds after he hit the bed he was out. He had never realized how tired he was..

Kiera had made her way over to his room a little past 2am. She opened the door without a knock and nearly scared him off the bed. He caught himself and stared at her. The girl told him everything she knew about this place and more. It was then that he knew what he must do.
Chris had fallen in love with this girl over such a short period of time. At first it was admiration from afar then when they had used their powers against each other, it was then he knew they shared something. Their life they had shared quietly over other nights but tonight was different. He made his way to Kiera and picked her up, laying her on the bed. There mentally he said goodbye to her, while it was hello to a stronger calling. Tomorrow he would be gone, so tonight was theirs. They made love there, for the first and last time.

Kiera went back to her room before daylight broke. When they had been called for breakfast Chris picked a fight, on purpose, with a nurse about his medication. Knowing Kiera could defend herself against he power he lashed out hoping to kill all those in the house. Some how Talbot could stand his powers. She knocked him out before he was finished. 2 people were dead, 4 injured, Chris, Talbot, and Kiera were the only ones left uninjured. He was taken away after that, his plan backfired and Kiera was still trapped in the house.

Cable woke up in a cold sweat.
"Fuck that dream.." he curse and scrambled off to the bathroom. After vomiting his breakfast back up he showered and redressed in new clothes.
Cable sat down and started righting at the small desk against the wall.
