Kiera moaned as the power was shut off to the computer and she was suddenly slammed back into her body. She heard a door slam and knew Chris had left the computer room, she wanted to go to him, chase him down and wallop him for doing so but nothing in her body would respond to her. She had never been cut off so quickly from technology it stunned her, made her body numb to respond to her mind. She could not settle her mind rightly into her body again so quickly, she would have to practice this.

It took hours to finally get herself situated into her body correctly and by then she felt sick. She stumbled down the stairs to the kitchen, looking for anything that would settle her stomach, sweat plastering her hair to her forehead as it began to dry. For a brief moment her file said minor hypoglycemia as she felt the world swim before her eyes and she collapsed onto the cold tile floor

Anna had fallen asleep with her face smashed against the book on the arm of the chair. Kiera's passing into the kitchen had woke her. She stretched and started to stand when she heard a thud from the kitchen. She ran into the kitchen to see Kiera passed out on the floor. Anna had no idea what to do, after taking a minute to try and wake the girl she took off through the house and yelled for Mrs. Talbot or Miss. Van Drop.

She heard someone coming down stairs and was surprised to see it was Chris. He asked her what was wrong..

"Kiera is passed out on the floor, do you know where the nurses are?" she said in a huff. Cable answered with a no and ran to the kitchen, Anna on his heals.

Cable heard Someone yelling for help down stairs. He groaned and rose. At the bottom of the first set of stairs, he heard it was Anna and picked up his pace.

"Whats wrong?" he asked reaching the first floor. His mind flipped when Anna told him about Kiera. Whit an almost silent no he took off to the kitchen, Anna right behind him.
He rolled Kiera over and held her up with one arm. He knew what was wrong, she was drained and it was his fault. He zapped Kiera a little without letting Anna see and waited.

Kiera laid there in Chris's arms for a few moments after the shock then gasped jerking up only to slam her forehead into his nose.

"What the hell!?!" She cried as her head throbbed continuously. "God damn your head is as hard as ever." Then she realized what was happening.

Kiera shot out of Chris's arms in attemps to flee but her vision swam fading to black then back causing her to stumble and slide head long into the tile again. Stunned she laid there curling up into a ball as she tried to breathe past her tunnel vision. Her mind and body longed for Chris to hold her again but she bit her tongue and concentrated on getting enough energy to at least sit up.

Zach came out of the bathroom with the spray-on cleanser in one hand and a dirtied rag in another. After putting the cleanser away and adding the rag to the laundry, Zach took down the signs that said the bathrooms were being cleaned. For someone that had just cleaned the bathrooms, Zach and his clothes had not gotten any dirtier than they were before. What can I do for the rest of the day...? He figured that he could make a more elaborate dominoe layout if he used some other materials alongside them. Deciding to see what he could do with what was around, Zach headed towards the game room.

Chris sat there and laughed at Kiera's reaction.

"Well I do have a hard head..." he knocked his fists against it 2 times.

Chris watched her fall to the floor again but could not get over in time to catch her.
"You should really hold on to something." He mumbled kneeling beside her, afraid to touch her again. He was hurt by how fast she jumped from him before. She probably thought he had been dead but he wasn't, this all was a shock to her.
"You should probably go lie down... Anna right?" he looked up at the other girl "You can take her to her room?"


Anna watched Kiera jump out of Cable's arms and almost fly into her. She tried to reach for her when she saw her wobble, but she was to slow. She shrieked a bit when Kiera hit the tile again.
She knelt beside Chris after he asked about helping the girl to her room.

"Yea.." She wrapped her hand around one of Kiera's arms while Cable stood and moved away.
"Come on." Anna whispered and Wrapped her arm around Kiera to help support her..

Kiera hung her head as she let Anna help her up. She felt tears well up in her eyes as start to trickle down her cheeks as she struggled with her emotions. She wanted to grab Chris and hold onto him, never to let go, but she couldn't. She didn't know what to think of him or what would happen when Talbot saw on the cameras. So she let Anna take her upstairs as she let the tears fall from her eyes, covering her face in her hair to futilely hide them from Chris

Anna stayed silent as she help Kiera through the house. She could tell the girl really wanted nothing but to hide away. They reached Kiera's room, Anna lead her to her bed.

"Do you want to talk?" Anna asked quietly. She knew the cameras had no sound so she wan't afraid of what Kiera might say.

Cable watched Anna lead Kiera away. He could feel her fighting the urge to cry, once they were out of the room he felt her break down. Of course he wanted to run to her and hold her again. She was afraid of him now so he turned and went through the door to the game room. One of the other boys were in there. Cable grunted and grabbed a deck of cards. Setting himself in the corner he played silently.

Kiera turned over facing the wall away from Anna. "They're not suppose to come back..." She murmured as she hugged herself. "I finally accepted the fact that I would never see him again... that I would never touch him or hear his voice because they had taken him away from me. And now he's back and I don't know what to do. They don't come back. Ever. So why is he here? Is he here because they're using him or is he here just because? Is he with them or against them... I just don't know..."

"He is the one isn't he?" She asked Kiera. "The one that the news thing was about?" The way her anger flared that night when she had came across the page about the deaths she knew there was something behind it. Now she knew Kiera and the boy, Cable, were more then just friends.

"You two love each other, don't you?" she finally asked. "The way he looks at you and ran to help you when I told him what happened. The way you acted when you woke up...."

She sighed "Shouldn't you be happy he is back. Maybe he really was let go? Maybe he got away before and they re captured him...?" She had never seen Kiera crack about anything and now the girl was falling about.

Zach went about setting dominoes up again. He made three stick people out of dominoes, each stick person would knock over another stick person. When he had finished setting up the dominoes, Zach proceeded to knock over one dominoe and start the chain reaction. As far as he knew, nothing new was happening in the Lyle House - this was just another day that would pass by without anything significant happening. I wonder if anything will change the humdrum routine of this place...

Kiera bit her lip as she pulled her legs to her chest. "Yes..." She murmured. "I loved him... Very much... He didn't escape... From what I found out there is absolutely no way to escape from the place. Guards at every door, corridor, every inch of that place... He was let out of the place, but for what gain...?"

She sighed heavily and pulled herself in tighter. Part of her wanted to believe that he really did love her but she didn't know if she could.

Anna was awkward again. She really had no idea what to say. Kiera wasn't the type that she figured would want to really be comforted by a friend and she really didn't know Cable to even try and comfort her.

"Well.." Anna sighed "I guess we will have to wait and see." She stood and started toward the door.

"I am sure its almost time for dinner. Do you want to rest and I will come up and get you later, or would you like me to just tell Talbot that you are missing before you don't feel well?"

She grabbed the door knob "I could bring something up after if you would like?" She stood there silent waiting for Kiera.

Cable stood at the bottom of the stairs. Van Drop had passed him from the Kitchen to start dinner after he had felt Kiera and Anna make it upstairs. She must have just missed the two of them since he had felt her coming down when they hit the top of the 3rd floor stairs. The kid in the room with him was making so much noise with the domino he was playing with, Cable was having a hard time thinking.

Kiera sighed and shook her head. "I won't make it down for dinner. If you want you can bring something up. Tell Talbot that I did not eat enough and passed out due to my hypoglycemia, she knows I have it. She'll believe it too since it's happened before. Being paranoid has been what has kept me safe and out of their prying eyes for years, Anna... I can't be anything but paranoid about Chr... Cable... It's safer that way..."

Dinner flew by and Anna took what she could to Kiera. The girls last words before she let the room rung in her ears like she had been beside a church bell when it went off. 'I can't be anything but paranoid...' she had sounded not just paranoid but scared 'It's safer that way...'

Anna sighed before opening Kiera's door. The girl was lying in her bed when Anna came in.

"This is all they would give, so I hop its enough." she frowned and sat the bottle of orange juice, cereal bar, and small bowl of fruit on Kiera's nightstand. "Its almost lights out, Talbot said for you to eat and get right to sleep so you get enough rest. Your meds are there too." she pointed to the small cup among the food.

"I will see you tomorrow... Good Night" she left without letting the girl speak.


It didn't take long for Anna to fall asleep after she changed. She was out before lights out... she was exhausted from the 2 experiences she had earlier that day.


It was around 3am, 5 hours after the nurses had called lights out. Cable reached over to the stand beside his bed and wrapped his hand around the water bottle. It was empty...

Slowly he crawled out of bed and made his way downstairs, hoping to no get caught by one of the nurses. Cable made his way to the kitchen and grunted quietly we he remembered the refrigerator was down stairs. So down he went, once he had his water he leaned against the wall in the cool basement. Half his water was gone before he knew it..

Then he heard a noise, well more felt someone. It was on the 3rd floor so he could not tell who is was, but it had to be a student. He hid himself in the darkest part and waited to find out who.

Kiera shuddered as she woke up, her body was shaking uncontrollably and she knew she had to get something into her before she fell into a hypoglycemic seizure. Carefully she make her way down the stairs to the kitchen where she grabbed an apple to get some sugar into her system quickly. Popping part of it into her mouth she dug her teeth in and sucked to keep the juices from sliding out of her mouth while she drug around for some bread before sneaking down to get some cheese and meat.

She paid no attention to the room around her, she didn't expect anyone else to even be up at this time.

Zach was unable to sleep due to a combination of the amount of caffeine in his system and his wandering mind. To help him pass the time and keep himself occupied, he continually tossed a tennis ball up into the air and caught it while lying on his bed. Even though it was rather dark in his room, Zach wasn't sure whether the cameras saw it as dark or whether they had some sort of night-vision. He never did understand technology quite well, but the innovations of the contraptions certainly did intrigue him. Inadvertantly, Zach tossed the ball too high and it hit the ceiling, making a thud-like noise. He wondered if anyone heard that and sort of hoped that the staff didn't. I wonder if cameras can hear sounds...

Cable felt it was Kiera as soon as she hit the top of the 2nd floor stairs. Before she was through game room he was at the top of the stairs waiting behind the door. 'Good' he thought, 'She is hungry'

She passed the door and he moved. Swinging it open just after she was passed it and grabbed her with one arm around the waist and the other with his hand around her mouth.

"Shh.. Its me I want to talk." he dragged onto the top step and closed the door with his foot. Slowly he walked her down the stairs.

"Promise not to scream or yell?" he turned her a bit to look at her. "I promise I am not going to hurt you.."
He looked her dead in the eye and his truth showed on his face. You could read him like a book right now, if only there was more moon light coming through the 4 small windows above the washer and drier.

Kiera glared death rays at him before popping the apple out of her mouth.

"you are so dead when this is over with..." she muttered darkly before contemplating chucking the apple at his head.

"What do you want?"

"I want to know what your deal is" Cable spit

"What did you do that they let me come back?" he almost yelled. Davidoff had said he was going to make a example out of him for some kids. Now that he knew Kiera was here, he was sure it was her. He saw something on her left ankle and bent to grab it. He lifted her leg backwards to look at it better.
"WHAT did you do!?" He had dropped her leg and was looking her in the eyes again.

"The only time I have seen those things are in the hospital, so for you to have one one here... Damn they really have this place set up like house arrest now." He sighed.
"Did it become like this after I...." he stuttered and fell silent. He turned and looked towards the wall.

"After the accident" he finally said looking out the window..

Kiera snatched her ankle back from him and crossed her arms over her chest, suddenly conscious of the fact she had no bra on even if he didn't seem interested in that fact; yet. "I stopped taking my medication when you were taken away..." She started as she bit her lip, feeling tears still threatening to break free; the old wound was ripped open and was very very raw. "I tried to escape a few months after, I hadn't really planned it very well, but back then everything was so lax... I made it to the next city before they picked me up again and locked me in a room. I was in there for about four months. After that they started the dog tag thing with chips in them; though no one else realizes the chips are there. They also added cameras on the fences in the backyard. They're motion sensitive, anything going over the fence is immediately tagged and an alarm goes off, sending the out for you almost instantly; plus the alarm system code changes randomly every 30 minutes so I haven't cracked it... Yet..."

She sighed and stole a glance at his face as she continued talking, wondering what he really felt for her. "Last month I lost control of my powers, they double in just a day, I lashed out, they sedated me, and I woke up with this shit on me." She indicated the anklet. "Cameras were installed in every room, the security system upped, the code now randomizes every 10 minutes and all electronics are banned for me, not like I need them now...

"I had no idea you were coming back... I didn't even know if you were still alive, though I was going to attempt breaking in and hunting you down..." She muttered the last under her breath.

He let her talk and could feel she was fighting not to cry. Cable sat on the floor.

"I did it for you, you know..." she said towards the floor. He looked up and saw the confused look on her face.
"You would not have come for me, that is stupid. I did it all for you the 'accident' was not accident. I planned it, all of it. It was all in my head before that n..." he stopped and looked at the floor again.

"But Talbot is like their fucking guards. She was immune and knocked me out before I could finish. I knew you would be safe, I had planned on everyone being dead so you could run and hide. Be free.. Instead she was there immune to it all. I assume they didn't bring you in because they knew I would know you where there. I gave them a hard enough time when I got there. Kill 2 of their nurses.." his head dropped more.

"I am not proud of it but the stuff they do its... its just not human." He was fighting his powers now and his head was starting to burn. He should stop talking now. He said to much already..
If they found out he would be gone again with no way to help Kiera. He could hear the humming of the chip in his head. It was on now, and Kiera would feel it. He sighed, he should have known he would not be able to hide it for long.

Kiera listened in silence, she was shocked that it had all been planned, that he had done everything for her but it also hurt her. She had loved, and still loved him with all her heart and he had basically stabbed a knife into that with throwing his life away to "save her".

Her eyes widened as she felt the familiar buzzing of technology close by. She knelt down in front of Chris, moving in close and putting her ear to the side of his head as if listening. She sat back on the balls of her feet as her expression changed from confusion to shock and finally to anger.

"What... Did... They... Do... To... You..." She seethed in dark hatred. She was angry, and the only thought she had was to hunt. Before Chris answered she pushed herself up to stand before she went to charge up the stairs with only one thing in mind; to kill Talbot.

Cable jumped and grabbed her before she hit the second step. He pulled her in tight against his chest and pressed his lips to hers. It was a hard kiss at first and soon smoothed when he felt her loosen up and kiss back. He lost his hands in her hair, then moved around her waist and Pulled her up. Cable sat her on the top of the large bulk storage freezer. For right now he was lost like time had picked up again. Like he was never away from her. He broke away at the burning against his skull.

"I... i am sorry." she stepped back "I didn't mean to." he turned away from her.

"Its a chip, they put it in to control me. If I use my powers it stings.." his hand met his head "If I use them beyond a certain point it knocks me out."

He sigh and stares at the wall. Mentally tracing the cement between the cinder blocks.

Kiera felt Chris's hand wrap around her wrist as her foot landed on the second stair. Completely caught off guard she felt her body wing around and smack into his as he lips crushed against hers. There was a moments hesitation, a moment of withdrawal as her heart and head conflicted with each other, but that moment ended quickly as she kissed him back, digging her fingers into his back.

She had a moment of vertigo as he lifted her onto the freezer but she didn't pull away. Every part of her being burned from the longing of wanting to touch him again, then ached with happiness as she let herself fall into his touch. Never again... She thought as she felt the solidness of his body under her. I won't let us be separated ever again...

The sudden emptiness that was left when he pulled away quickly left her reeling, struggling with the sudden engulfing loneliness and the urge to slug him for letting her go and apologizing for kissing her. But the urge to brutalized him vanished as he told her about the chip in his head and replaced by a surge of pure, burning hatred. She would kill them, if it was the last thing she did.

She wrapped her arms around his shoulders, pulling him into her, resting her cheek on his shoulder. "I'm sorry..." She murmured. "I'm sorry I was so un-trusting of you... I've lived in paranoia since you were taken... Talbot always thought that I was hiding more of my gifts than I let on because I survived that day. I was afraid that they brought you back to get me to let my guard down... to reveal the truth about how strong my powers were getting... I know she's been waiting for an excuse to call Davidoff and have him take me away..."

Her mind brought up something to her, something old that she had nearly forgotten about. She slid an arm back as she fished two old news clippings from the waist band of her small shorts. "Here..." She murmured as she reached over and handed them to him. "These are for you... They finally got what they deserved for far too long..."

She fingered the hemp necklace absentminded-ly until she realized what it was. "You kept it...?" She questioned as she pulled back to get a better look at it.

He turned and looked at her his hand lingered over hers before he took the papers from her hand. She frowned when she asked about the necklace.

"It was in my things when they gave it back to me. We were not allowed to have anything personal to us. Jewelry and such is a big no no." His head met hers against his neck. "We could choke ourselves with them and such."

He opened the clipping and looked them. Both read of the deaths, names he knew.
"Did you do this?" he asked looking at her. He didn't wait for a reply, he didn't care. The last 2 men were dead. Good riddens after what they did to his sister. He could finally close that part of his life.
Cable sigh and laid his hand on Kiera chest. Her smell was the same.. her hair, voice, touch, everything about her was so comforting. He nipped at her neck then kissed it gently.

He sat up and pulled her off the freezer.

"We need to go." he said as he pushed her up the stairs. "The cameras can't see in the dark, but the girls hallway has the moonlight coming through just right. I am sure they caught you coming down. Grab another apple on the way out and get back to bed.." she hissed and pushed her out the door.
