Re: Lyle House: Home for Teens in Need
Kiera blinked, caught off guard by the sudden outburst by Anna. Chris couldn't die, she wouldn't let that happen.
She watched Anna leave her room and growled quietly, she wanted her time alone with Chris. She bit her lip and wondered how she could get just a little alone time with him she needed it more than anything else in the world. She would trade her life away for just a little bit more alone time, just a little longer to touch him to hold him, to take in his sent once more.
Her eyes stung a little and she growled angrily at herself for becoming emotional so she stomped to her bed and sat down, her back against the wall.
Zen... She thought as she closed her eyes and crossed her legs. Go back into Zen...

Anna laid in her bed after she had allowed the man in to take the camera down in her room. Kat had been staring out the window.
"He is here to take down the camera Kat, are you hungry?" she looked over at the girl and waited quietly.
Cable dropped the card he was holding in the middle of his solitaire game. He knew the down stairs cameras were already taken down and the man was on the third floor now. The sudden felling of Kiera had surprised him since she was in her room. He knew she was pissed off... He groined and continued his game when he heard the front door open. It was 2 brute nurses. 'Oh no..' he went back to his game and 'ignored' the two. He watched them go in and start talking to the Zach kid. They told the kid he was leaving, going home. First he had to go get checked out before he could be accepted to leave. The kid stood up with a smile the nurses must have thought he was going to try something, because in a blink of an eye one had whipped out a siring and sedated the kid. They dragged him off... never to return.
His mouth was dry now. He didn't know the kid yet but just the fact of knowing another kid was never going to see his family upset him. Cable left the cards on the table and went to grab some water out of the fridge.

Keira sighed as her other "self" watched the code slowly tick down the last number. Suddenly she leaped off the bed. "YES!!!" She screamed as she did a little happy dance. "OH MY GOD!!!" She was excited, closing her eyes she looked back in her mind at the code, she had finally figured it out.
There in her mind was the completed alarm code. She smiled in excitement as she watched it flip to a new random code, she had figured out the cycling, now she had the code to the alarm system.
They were one step closed to escape.

Re: Lyle House: Home for Teens in Need
"Parents?" Cameron raised an eyebrow at the word and scoffed. "Are you insane? I know what I am. They know what I am. If I didn't leave because they told me to, then I did it for their own god damned safety you ignorant moron. Come on," he said, motioning around the room, "you obviously deal with my kind of people all the time. You can tell from just the atmosphere of the place. And yet, you're stupid enough to ask such a retarded question as 'parents.' How you can possible run this place, I have no idea. I guess age doesn't necessarily make you as wise as they'd like to say it does, huh?" Cameron finished, anger in his eyes, the tips of his fingers alight.
The man's stance was tense, extremely tense as he glanced around at every single person in the room. He couldn't stand it here already; it wasn't being here that bothered him, it was the stupidity of the people that ARE here. He blatantly explained himself as he came here. He even demonstrated what it is that he can do, and they still insist on pretending like there's no issue, like there's nothing supernaturally wrong with him. He knew damn well that if he didn't get tired of the place soon enough that the people would drive him to murder before then.
He sighed once more and clenched his fists. He looked at the man who had addressed him, showing his unhappiness with his eyes; if the man caught them, they would have been like daggers boring into him. He then turned to look at the stupid actress from before. This woman was head nurse? What a joke. Then, finally, his eyes turned to the last person that he had not yet seen until now. Who was SHE? What were HER responsibilities here? He might as well do as much recon at he could while he was still here.
"And you," he motioned towards the one the man called Van Drop, "who the heck are you? You're the only one who doesn't seem to be bullshitting anyone around here, but then again, you're also the only one who hasn't spoken yet. So why don't YOU tell me what I am, and say it loud and clear because I damn well know it I'm just curious to know whether you lesser intelligence fools do." The anger was palpable, his voice nothing short of acidic as he spoke. He could already tell that it was stupid to come to this place if this was the staff here.

Of course they knew what he was talking about, but they wouldn't acknowledge it. He claims would fall perfect into the feel of the place, the boy was 'insane'.. Schizophrenic to be exact. With him looking at Miss Van Drop, Davidoff moved and slipped the needle into the boy. The drugs pumped through quick and he was out before Davidoff even got a good grip on him. He laid the boy on the bed while Van Drop slid past and out the door.
"Get Anna." Davidoff called while the door shut behind her. He turned to Talbot, "You think you will be able to handle him?"
"I am sure we will be fine..."
Kat's silence worried Anna but she ignored it and curled up with a book. The gentlemen taking the camera down turned to face to door.
"Anna?" Van Drop's voice floated into the room before her head popped around the corner. "I need you for a minute?" she gestured outside. Anna grunted and made her way out to meet Van Drop, book still in hand. "I need you to watch a boy that came to the door today. The nurses and Dr. Davidoff need to talk to some others about him so do you think you could sit with him till we are finished? You were so well with Katerva we thought you would be best."
Anna simply nodded and followed the nurse to the room where the flame haired boy laid asleep in the not so comfy bed.
"We will be down the hall if you need us." Van Drop said before shutting the door and heading back down the hall. She push a chair to the farthest corner and sat with her knees pulled to her chest in it. She opened the book and sat there unable to really read, she was hoping the boy would wake up. What ever he did was interesting enough to her.

Re: Lyle House: Home for Teens in Need
It was a few minutes before the boy woke up; either the medicine was intended only as a very temporary sleep-inducer or his body was simply strong against tranquilizing agents. His eyes flew open; anger flared in every part of his body as he sat up with a ridiculously quick and exaggerated motion and let out a low, vicious growl before his entire body caught on fire. It didn't burn; no, it was simply warm, and it was a simple sign of his anger. He didn't want it to burn, so it didn't. For some reason, however, his flames felt a bit weaker than they always had. After a moment, though, he calmed down and they subsided. It was at this time that he noticed the girl huddled in the corner.
"Hey," he said, his voice soft and gentle. "Sorry about that," he apologized, worrying that he had scared her. "Might I ask your name? Mine...is Cameron. Cameron Young."
He smiled at her; this was the first time today he had shared his name, and for whatever reason he felt comfortable sharing it with the girl that was before him. For some reason, she seemed so docile, so kind. She seemed like she wasn't like the ridiculous staff here; perhaps another kid that was just like him. She seemed young enough, so it was a plausible excuse for him and he decided to test his waters with it.
"Are you..." he began, shifting his eyes, not sure how to word it. "Are you like me? Do you have...powers?" he asked tentatively, avoiding the girl's eyes but still glancing in her general direction.
Cameron might be a total asshole, but he was always slightly nervous around women. For some reason, he became a lot calmer in their presence; at least, if he felt comfortable around them. The women from before, he felt a deep loathing for without even knowing them. This girl, however, he felt he could let down his guard around. Despite his pride, his arrogance, his excessive anger, girls always seemed to strip him of any negativity. Of course, Cameron was an intelligent and strategic person by nature, so when the situation needed him to be calm he would do it; but outside of such necessities, it was only around people he felt he could classify as 'friend' or 'ally' that he would truly put his emotions to rest.

Re: Lyle House: Home for Teens in Need
For those few minutes Anna had been sitting in the room with the unconscious boy, she learned a lot. The 'voices' filled her in one what had happened. What he had said, what he did, and what he was telling the staff. She sighed as they filled her him and the moments after her eyes had darted from book page to boy and back again. She just wanted him to wake up
"I am, but you can't go around flapping it around like paper." her right leg slid down and she swung it off the end of the chair. She was un-phased by his 'human torch' stunt. The loud humming had turned into a nice loud rant of many voices, like that in a theater before a show. It was annoying and it showed in her attitude at the moment. She closed her book with a snap and laid it beside her on the chair. Her hand rested upon it and her arm held her up now as she leaned into it. The voices told her that no one was outside or could hear them right now, besides them of course, so she felt it was saft to talk.
"I don't know why you came here, kind of stupid unless you were forced, but you weren't... Now you will probably not make it out. So listen. The staff acts like they don't know about us. We are 'mental' to them and the public outside. Really, this is a holding tank till Davidoff will takes us off to where he runs test after test. Cable can inform you on that later. But right now what you need to know is this. Your here now and you won't be leaving. Keep your head down, don't talk about or use your powers, and you should last awhile. You try doing what you were before and you will be hauled away to be a pig in no time." She stood up and looked at him again. "I am Annabel, by the way, Annabel Lee Sullen. I don't mean to be short but well... those are the facts here. You walked right into the trap..." she frowned and pulled on her sweater's sleeves.

Re: Lyle House: Home for Teens in Need
Kiera slipped down the stairs quietly as she bit her lip to keep the smile off her face. She shuddered as the cold air hit her back causing a moment to wonder why it had happened until she remembered she was wearing the shirt Chris had ripped in one of their more physical fights back when they first met. She shook her head as she wondered if Chris would even remember the shirt or incident and if he had noticed the pink still in her hair; or if he even remembered the reason behind the pink.
She shrugged to herself as she momentarily watched the alarm code randomly update itself in her head; she sighed with relief.
'This is great. I can't wait to get out of here...' She had a childish moment where she pictured having a happy life with Chris somewhere far away from the eyes of Davidoff but she brushed that thought away quickly. There wasn't time to think about trivial things yet, they still needed to escape.
Her thoughts drifted to how she could possibly get a few minutes, or hours, of time alone with Chris. The cameras were no longer in the rooms, would he be willing to stay with her for what remained of the night after they had all discussed the escape plans? She hoped so but with him she never knew.
Her attention was redirected to the new boy that laid on a cot, sneaking past she heard Anna lecturing him about not using his powers; she smirked. It wasn't long ago that she had given almost the same lecture to Anna. Keep your head low and stay off the radar, that was key to the lectures to the new kids here.
She scanned the room for Chris, spotting him off in the distance. She struggled with herself for several moments before she finally headed back upstairs.
Kiera stopped at the foot of the stairs as she looked back down the first flight, her mind suddenly rushed deep into her memories.
"Tawny..." Chris whispered quietly causing Kiera to pause and turn, her foot perched on the first step of the stairs to the girls dorm rooms.
"Chris..." She answered, a smile pulling her lips. She took her foot off the step and stopped, freezing in mid motion as she scanned the area around them for any sight of the nurses while straining her ears to find out where they were.
"Always paranoid..." Chris chided with a smile. "There's no one close by to hear or see us." He held his arms out to her as he stepped into the hallway. "Jump."
Kiera smiled brightly as she sprinted and jumped at him, his arms wrapping around her waist as he held onto her.
"My Tawny..." He murmured as he held her close, his nose touching hers lightly.
"My Chris..." She answered as she moved her face to his neck. She inhaled and smiled. His sent calmed her, made her feel at home. No one had ever made her feel the way Chris did.
"I'll see you tonight?" He asked as he pulled back to see her face.
"Yes..." She answered as she rubbed her nose against his cheek.
"I Love you..." He murmured as he brushed his lips against hers.
"I love you too..." She answered back as he let her slide down to the floor.
He smiled once more, touching her cheek before he went up to his own room.
Kiera shook her head chasing away his memories. Those days were gone, she wasn't sure if they would come back. Sighing she turned and made her way up the stairs and into her room. Flopping down on her bed she stared up at the ceiling as her mind rummaged through the memories of better times. Every moment she spent with Chris was both amazing and dangerous. They risked getting caught every time they looked at each other too long, touched, held each other, kissed... But they risked it daily because they were all they had. She would give all she had just to relive one of those moments again.

With his water in hand, he settled himself back at the table. He felt Kiera on the stairs, but before he could move she was on her way back up to her room. Cable sighed and wondered how she got down without him feeling it. He must have been to preoccupied with memories from before to notice. After all, he did just watch another kid head for the hell he once went through..
After messing with the cards again she shoved them back into the deck holder and made his way up to the computer. 'I can get her to come down this way..' he thought turning on the computer. It was a few minutes before he felt Kiera in the system.
'Come downstairs, they are not going to get that weird if we are playing a game together.' he smiled waiting for an answer
'Well I am shutting down the computer, you best get out.' Cable started the computer shut down and left while it was still doing its thing. He knew Kiera would have enough time to get out without being hurt this time.
Once downstairs again he planted himself in a seat in the living room and waited for her to come back..

Re: Lyle House: Home for Teens in Need
Kiera yelped and lea[pt off her bed, the sudden words in her mind from a computer that had turned on caught her off guard. It was Chris. She smiled to herself when he told her to go downstairs and join him for a game.
She shook her head as she smirked, her and Chris playing a game never ended well. They were both very competitive and it usually turned into a yelling match about someone cheating or whatnot.
She felt the computer shut off and went to the bathroom, suddenly feeling the need to check herself before heading down. She touched the neon pink that just barely peaked out from the back of her hair; her hair was getting long. She took the shirt off and ran a string through part of it to tie it closed just where her bra would show through; she doubted that Chris would enjoy her flashing her zebra print bra to everyone but him.
Pulling the shirt back on she sauntered down the stairs and into the game room. She made her way over to a table and sat down waiting for Chris to join her.

Cable smile while he watched Kiera come down and enter the game room. She hadn't seen him sitting across the entryway. He got up and crept up behind her. Covering her eyes he chuckled before speaking.
"Boo!" he spun her around and kissed her forehead. He knew her response and let her go before she could say anything "No one is down here, they are all figured out what to do with the kid upstairs."
He walked to the wardrobe where all the games where.
"What do you want to play?"

Kiera blushed. "New guy? Is he still being a problem? I heard Anna had been trying to warn him to keep his mouth shut and his down."
She touched Chris's hand softly before she leaned over and kissed Chris on the lips.
"What game can we play without getting angry at each other?" She questioned. "when are we meeting tonight...?"

Re: Lyle House: Home for Teens in Need
Cable laughed.
"Well he is 'claiming'," he made finger quotes, "basically telling them he has powers. Then he lit the door frame on fire so.." he shrugged and laughed again.
" 'Without getting angry at each other?' Huh? None really..." He looked through the games and pulled out Monopoly. "Yes, like I said earlier" He had ignored the kiss and hitting a bit in his voice not to bring up the meeting. While walking past her to the table he whispered
"Just act like 2 kids playing games, nothing more" he pushed her a bit with his shoulder and sat down.
"I call Cannon!" he shouted while tearing into the box to set up the game "and banker... you cheat when you are banker!"

Re: Lyle House: Home for Teens in Need
Kiera blinked and shook her head about the new boy. He was going to get himself taken away before he even had a night here. She stared at Chris as if he had grown another head when he put monoploy down on the table.
"You have GOT to be kidding me...." SHe muttered then sneered at him. "I so do not cheat as banker!! I cheat anytime you put the dice in my hands...." She stuck her tongue out at him as she grabbed the little scotty dog and set it at the start line. Handing him a die she took one for herself and rolled it, langing a 4.
"Roll to see who goes first."

She stuck her tongue out at him as she grabbed the little scotty dog and set it at the start line. Handing him a die she took one for herself and rolled it, langing a 4.
"Roll to see who goes first."

He rolled, 1.
"Really, really! See you are already cheating." he pouted and finished laying out the board. After giving Kiera her money and setting the cannon on go he handed both die to Kiera.
"And I get a 200 dollar handicap..." he sneered at her back.

"Such a complainer. You couldn't beat me with a thousand dollar handicap."
Kiera smirked evily as she rolled the dice and got a 12.
Moving her little dog across the board she landed on the elcercity company. "Hand it over." She said as she dolled out the cash for the property. She would win this game, her competitive nature wouldn't let her loose to Chris even if she loved him.

He glared at her as she moved across the board. He had put his 'handicap' back and dug for the card.
"Doubles... you roll again." He stuck his tongue out. "A winner would remember that.."

Kiera stuck her tongue out again. "I was trying to be nice."
Sighing she rolled again, buying the property she had landed on.
An hour later fond them glaring death rays at each other across the board. They were at a stalemate. Kiera owned half of the board with hotels while Chris owned the other half with hotels and neither were going to give up the railroads for anyhing less than blood.
Finally Kiera stood up and shoved away from the table. "Forget it!" She snapped. "I'm done with this game. It's not going anywhere."
Before Chris could answer she stomped out of the room angrily before going up the stairs to her room. Sitting down on the bed she growled at a wall as she slowly tried to get back into her zen state. A state which was keeping her out of Davidoff's and Talbot's prying eyes and a place that was becoming a regular place she went to for anything.
Finally after calming down she went into the bathroom, pulled out her hair dye and began re-dying her hair.
